| 1 [18:104] | Allatheena dalla saAAyuhumfee alhayati alddunya wahum yahsaboonaannahum yuhsinoona sunAAan |  الذين ضل سعيهم في الحياة الدنيا وهم يحسبون أنهم يحسنون صنعاالَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those -| ضل - is lost| سعيهم - their effort| في - in| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| وهم - while they| يحسبون - think| أنهم - that they| يحسنون - (were) acquiring good| صنعا - (in) work."| | ||||||
| 2 [33:20] | Yahsaboona al-ahzabalam yathhaboo wa-in ya/ti al-ahzabu yawaddoolaw annahum badoona fee al-aAArabi yas-aloona AAananba-ikum walaw kanoo feekum ma qatalooilla qaleelan | يحسبون الأحزاب لم يذهبوا وإن يأت الأحزاب يودوا لو أنهم بادون في الأعراب يسألون عن أنبائكم ولو كانوا فيكم ما قاتلوا إلا قليلا يَحْسَبُونَ الْأَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا وَإِن يَأْتِ الْأَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّوا لَوْ أَنَّهُم بَادُونَ فِي الْأَعْرَابِ يَسْأَلُونَ عَنْ أَنبَائِكُمْ وَلَوْ كَانُوا فِيكُم مَّا قَاتَلُوا إِلَّا قَلِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |يحسبون - They think| الأحزاب - the confederates| لم - (have) not| يذهبوا - withdrawn.| وإن - And if| يأت - (should) come| الأحزاب - the confederates| يودوا - they would wish| لو - if| أنهم - that they (were)| بادون - living in (the) desert| في - among| الأعراب - the Bedouins,| يسألون - asking| عن - about| أنبائكم - your news.| ولو - And if| كانوا - they were| فيكم - among you| ما - not| قاتلوا - they would fight| إلا - except| قليلا - a little.| | ||||||
| 3 [43:80] | Am yahsaboona anna lanasmaAAu sirrahum wanajwahum bala warusulunaladayhim yaktuboona | أم يحسبون أنا لا نسمع سرهم ونجواهم بلى ورسلنا لديهم يكتبون أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَاهُم بَلَى وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ | |||||

| 4 [63:4] | Wa-itha raaytahum tuAAjibuka ajsamuhumwa-in yaqooloo tasmaAA liqawlihim kaannahum khushubunmusannadatun yahsaboona kulla sayhatinAAalayhim humu alAAaduwwu faihtharhum qatalahumuAllahu anna yu/fakoona | وإذا رأيتهم تعجبك أجسامهم وإن يقولوا تسمع لقولهم كأنهم خشب مسندة يحسبون كل صيحة عليهم هم العدو فاحذرهم قاتلهم الله أنى يؤفكون وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ وَإِن يَقُولُوا تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ هُمُ الْعَدُوُّ فَاحْذَرْهُمْ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| رأيتهم - you see them| تعجبك - pleases you| أجسامهم - their bodies,| وإن - and if| يقولوا - they speak,| تسمع - you listen| لقولهم - to their speech,| كأنهم - as if they (were)| خشب - pieces of wood| مسندة - propped up.| يحسبون - They think| كل - every| صيحة - shout| عليهم - (is) against them.| هم - They| العدو - (are) the enemy,| فاحذرهم - so beware of them.| قاتلهم - May destroy them| الله - Allah!| أنى - How| يؤفكون - are they deluded?| | ||||||
