| 1 [2:143] | Wakathalika jaAAalnakumommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasiwayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wamajaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illalinaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAalaAAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAalaallatheena hada Allahu wama kanaAllahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allahabialnnasi laraoofun raheemun |  وكذلك جعلناكم أمة وسطا لتكونوا شهداء على الناس ويكون الرسول عليكم شهيدا وما جعلنا القبلة التي كنت عليها إلا لنعلم من يتبع الرسول ممن ينقلب على عقبيه وإن كانت لكبيرة إلا على الذين هدى الله وما كان الله ليضيع إيمانكم إن الله بالناس لرءوف رحيموَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلناكم - We made you| أمة - a community| وسطا - (of the) middle way| لتكونوا - so that you will be| شهداء - witnesses| على - over| الناس - the mankind,| ويكون - and will be| الرسول - the Messenger| عليكم - on you| شهيدا - a witness.| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| القبلة - the direction of prayer| التي - which| كنت - you were used to| عليها - [on it]| إلا - except| لنعلم - that We make evident| من - (he) who| يتبع - follows| الرسول - the Messenger| ممن - from (he) who| ينقلب - turns back| على - on| عقبيه - his heels.| وإن - And indeed,| كانت - it was| لكبيرة - certainly a great (test)| إلا - except| على - for| الذين - those whom| هدى - guided| الله - (by) Allah.| وما - And not| كان - will| الله - Allah| ليضيع - let go waste| إيمانكم - your faith.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| بالناس - (is) to [the] mankind| لرءوف - Full of Kindness,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 2 [6:53] | Wakathalika fatanna baAAdahumbibaAAdin liyaqooloo ahaola-i manna AllahuAAalayhim min baynina alaysa Allahu bi-aAAlama bialshshakireena | وكذلك فتنا بعضهم ببعض ليقولوا أهؤلاء من الله عليهم من بيننا أليس الله بأعلم بالشاكرين وَكَذَلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لِّيَقُولواْ أَهَـؤُلاَءِ مَنَّ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّن بَيْنِنَا أَلَيْسَ اللّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِالشَّاكِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| فتنا - We try| بعضهم - some of them| ببعض - with others| ليقولوا - that they say,| أهؤلاء - "Are these| من - (whom has been) favored| الله - (by) Allah| عليهم - [upon them]| من - from| بيننا - among us?"| أليس - is not| الله - Allah| بأعلم - most knowing| بالشاكرين - of those who are grateful?| | ||||||
| 3 [6:55] | Wakathalika nufassilu al-ayatiwalitastabeena sabeelu almujrimeena | وكذلك نفصل الآيات ولتستبين سبيل المجرمين وَكَذَلِكَ نفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| نفصل - We explain| الآيات - the Verses,| ولتستبين - so that becomes manifest| سبيل - (the) way| المجرمين - (of) the criminals.| | ||||||
| 4 [6:75] | Wakathalika nuree ibraheemamalakoota alssamawati waal-ardiwaliyakoona mina almooqineena | وكذلك نري إبراهيم ملكوت السماوات والأرض وليكون من الموقنين وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| نري - We show(ed)| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| ملكوت - the kingdom| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| وليكون - so that he would be| من - among| الموقنين - the ones who are certain.| | ||||||
| 5 [6:84] | Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadaynamin qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymanawaayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalikanajzee almuhsineena | ووهبنا له إسحاق ويعقوب كلا هدينا ونوحا هدينا من قبل ومن ذريته داوود وسليمان وأيوب ويوسف وموسى وهارون وكذلك نجزي المحسنين وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ كُلاًّ هَدَيْنَا وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِ دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَى وَهَارُونَ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ووهبنا - And We bestowed| له - to him| إسحاق - Isaac| ويعقوب - and Yaqub,| كلا - all| هدينا - We guided.| ونوحا - And Nuh,| هدينا - We guided| من - from| قبل - before;| ومن - and of| ذريته - his descendents,| داوود - Dawood| وسليمان - and Sulaiman| وأيوب - and Ayyub| ويوسف - and Yusuf| وموسى - and Musa| وهارون - and Harun.| وكذلك - And thus| نجزي - We reward| المحسنين - the good-doers.| | ||||||
| 6 [6:105] | Wakathalika nusarrifu al-ayatiwaliyaqooloo darasta walinubayyinahu liqawmin yaAAlamoona | وكذلك نصرف الآيات وليقولوا درست ولنبينه لقوم يعلمون وَكَذَلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ وَلِيَقُولُواْ دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| نصرف - We explain| الآيات - the Signs| وليقولوا - that they (may) say,| درست - "You have studied,"| ولنبينه - and that We (may) make it clear| لقوم - for a people| يعلمون - who know.| | ||||||
| 7 [6:112] | Wakathalika jaAAalna likullinabiyyin AAaduwwan shayateena al-insi waaljinni yooheebaAAduhum ila baAAdin zukhrufa alqawlighurooran walaw shaa rabbuka ma faAAaloohu fatharhumwama yaftaroona | وكذلك جعلنا لكل نبي عدوا شياطين الإنس والجن يوحي بعضهم إلى بعض زخرف القول غرورا ولو شاء ربك ما فعلوه فذرهم وما يفترون وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَاطِينَ الْإِنسِ وَالْجِنِّ يُوحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَوْلِ غُرُورًا وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلنا - We made| لكل - for every| نبي - Prophet| عدوا - an enemy -| شياطين - devils| الإنس - (from) the mankind| والجن - and the jinn,| يوحي - inspiring| بعضهم - some of them| إلى - to| بعض - others| زخرف - (with) decorative| القول - [the] speech| غرورا - (in) deception.| ولو - But if| شاء - (had) willed| ربك - your Lord| ما - not| فعلوه - they (would) have done it,| فذرهم - so leave them| وما - and what| يفترون - they invent.| | ||||||
| 8 [6:123] | Wakathalika jaAAalna feekulli qaryatin akabira mujrimeeha liyamkuroo feehawama yamkuroona illa bi-anfusihim wamayashAAuroona | وكذلك جعلنا في كل قرية أكابر مجرميها ليمكروا فيها وما يمكرون إلا بأنفسهم وما يشعرون وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَابِرَ مُجْرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُواْ فِيهَا وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلاَّ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلنا - We placed| في - in| كل - every| قرية - city| أكابر - greatest| مجرميها - (of) its criminals,| ليمكروا - so that they plot| فيها - therein.| وما - And not| يمكرون - they plot| إلا - except| بأنفسهم - against themselves| وما - and not| يشعرون - they perceive.| | ||||||
| 9 [6:129] | Wakathalika nuwallee baAAda alththalimeenabaAAdan bima kanoo yaksiboona | وكذلك نولي بعض الظالمين بعضا بما كانوا يكسبون وَكَذَلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| نولي - We make friends,| بعض - some (of)| الظالمين - the wrongdoers| بعضا - (to) others| بما - for what| كانوا - they used to| يكسبون - earn.| | ||||||
| 10 [6:137] | Wakathalika zayyana likatheerin minaalmushrikeena qatla awladihim shurakaohumliyurdoohum waliyalbisoo AAalayhim deenahum walaw shaa Allahuma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroona | وكذلك زين لكثير من المشركين قتل أولادهم شركاؤهم ليردوهم وليلبسوا عليهم دينهم ولو شاء الله ما فعلوه فذرهم وما يفترون وَكَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلاَدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And likewise| زين - made pleasing| لكثير - to many| من - of| المشركين - the polytheists -| قتل - (the) killing| أولادهم - (of) their children -| شركاؤهم - their partners -| ليردوهم - so that they may ruin them| وليلبسوا - and that they make confusing| عليهم - to them| دينهم - their religion.| ولو - And if| شاء - (had) willed| الله - Allah| ما - not| فعلوه - (would) they have done so.| فذرهم - So leave them| وما - and what| يفترون - they invent.| | ||||||
| 11 [7:40] | Inna allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinawaistakbaroo AAanha la tufattahulahum abwabu alssama-i walayadkhuloona aljannata hatta yalija aljamalu feesammi alkhiyati wakathalika najzee almujrimeena | إن الذين كذبوا بآياتنا واستكبروا عنها لا تفتح لهم أبواب السماء ولا يدخلون الجنة حتى يلج الجمل في سم الخياط وكذلك نجزي المجرمين إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ عَنْهَا لاَ تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَلاَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| كذبوا - denied| بآياتنا - Our Verses| واستكبروا - and (were) arrogant| عنها - towards them,| لا - (will) not| تفتح - be opened| لهم - for them| أبواب - (the) doors| السماء - (of) the heaven,| ولا - and not| يدخلون - they will enter| الجنة - Paradise| حتى - until| يلج - passes| الجمل - the camel| في - through| سم - (the) eye| الخياط - (of) the needle.| وكذلك - And thus| نجزي - We recompense| المجرمين - the criminals.| | ||||||
| 12 [7:41] | Lahum min jahannama mihadun waminfawqihim ghawashin wakathalika najzee alththalimeena | لهم من جهنم مهاد ومن فوقهم غواش وكذلك نجزي الظالمين لَهُم مِّن جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِن فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |لهم - For them| من - of| جهنم - (the) Hell| مهاد - (is) a bed| ومن - and from| فوقهم - over them| غواش - coverings.| وكذلك - And thus| نجزي - We recompense| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 13 [7:152] | Inna allatheena ittakhathooalAAijla sayanaluhum ghadabun min rabbihim wathillatunfee alhayati alddunya wakathalikanajzee almuftareena | إن الذين اتخذوا العجل سينالهم غضب من ربهم وذلة في الحياة الدنيا وكذلك نجزي المفترين إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُواْ الْعِجْلَ سَيَنَالُهُمْ غَضَبٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَذِلَّةٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُفْتَرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| اتخذوا - took| العجل - the calf,| سينالهم - will reach them| غضب - wrath| من - from| ربهم - their Lord,| وذلة - and humiliation| في - in| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world.| وكذلك - And thus| نجزي - We recompense| المفترين - the ones who invent (falsehood).| | ||||||
| 14 [7:174] | Wakathalika nufassilu al-ayatiwalaAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وكذلك نفصل الآيات ولعلهم يرجعون وَكَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| نفصل - We explain| الآيات - the Verses| ولعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 15 [11:102] | Wakathalika akhthu rabbika ithaakhatha alqura wahiya thalimatuninna akhthahu aleemun shadeedun | وكذلك أخذ ربك إذا أخذ القرى وهي ظالمة إن أخذه أليم شديد وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَى وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| أخذ - (is) the seizure (of) your Lord| ربك - (is) the seizure (of) your Lord| إذا - when| أخذ - He seizes| القرى - the cities| وهي - while they| ظالمة - (are) doing wrong.| إن - Indeed,| أخذه - His seizure| أليم - (is) painful,| شديد - (and) severe.| | ||||||
| 16 [12:6] | Wakathalika yajtabeeka rabbukawayuAAallimuka min ta/weeli al-ahadeethi wayutimmuniAAmatahu AAalayka waAAala ali yaAAqooba kamaatammaha AAala abawayka min qablu ibraheemawa-ishaqa inna rabbaka AAaleemun hakeemun | وكذلك يجتبيك ربك ويعلمك من تأويل الأحاديث ويتم نعمته عليك وعلى آل يعقوب كما أتمها على أبويك من قبل إبراهيم وإسحاق إن ربك عليم حكيم وَكَذَلِكَ يَجْتَبِيكَ رَبُّكَ وَيُعَلِّمُكَ مِن تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ وَيُتِمُّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى آلِ يَعْقُوبَ كَمَا أَتَمَّهَا عَلَى أَبَوَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَقَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| يجتبيك - will choose you| ربك - your Lord| ويعلمك - and will teach you| من - of| تأويل - (the) interpretation| الأحاديث - (of) the narratives| ويتم - and complete| نعمته - His Favor| عليك - on you| وعلى - and on| آل - (the) family| يعقوب - (of) Yaqub| كما - as| أتمها - He completed it| على - on| أبويك - your two forefathers| من - before -| قبل - before -| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| وإسحاق - and Isaac.| إن - Indeed,| ربك - your Lord| عليم - (is) All-Knower,| حكيم - All-Wise."| | ||||||
| 17 [12:21] | Waqala allathee ishtarahumin misra liimraatihi akrimee mathwahu AAasaan yanfaAAana aw nattakhithahu waladan wakathalikamakkanna liyoosufa fee al-ardi walinuAAallimahu minta/weeli al-ahadeethi waAllahu ghalibunAAala amrihi walakinna akthara alnnasila yaAAlamoona | وقال الذي اشتراه من مصر لامرأته أكرمي مثواه عسى أن ينفعنا أو نتخذه ولدا وكذلك مكنا ليوسف في الأرض ولنعلمه من تأويل الأحاديث والله غالب على أمره ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون وَقَالَ الَّذِي اشْتَرَاهُ مِن مِّصْرَ لاِمْرَأَتِهِ أَكْرِمِي مَثْوَاهُ عَسَى أَن يَنفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا وَكَذَلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلِنُعَلِّمَهُ مِن تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ وَاللّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَى أَمْرِهِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| الذي - the one who| اشتراه - bought him| من - of| مصر - Egypt| لامرأته - to his wife,| أكرمي - "Make comfortable| مثواه - his stay.| عسى - Perhaps| أن - that| ينفعنا - (he) will benefit us| أو - or| نتخذه - we will take him| ولدا - (as) a son."| وكذلك - And thus| مكنا - We established| ليوسف - Yusuf| في - in| الأرض - the land| ولنعلمه - that We might teach him| من - (the) interpretation of| تأويل - (the) interpretation of| الأحاديث - the events.| والله - And Allah| غالب - (is) Predominant| على - over| أمره - His affairs,| ولكن - but| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the people| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 18 [12:22] | Walamma balagha ashuddahu ataynahuhukman waAAilman wakathalika najzee almuhsineena | ولما بلغ أشده آتيناه حكما وعلما وكذلك نجزي المحسنين وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| بلغ - he reached| أشده - his maturity,| آتيناه - We gave him| حكما - wisdom| وعلما - and knowledge.| وكذلك - And thus| نجزي - We reward| المحسنين - the good-doers.| | ||||||
| 19 [12:56] | Wakathalika makanna liyoosufafee al-ardi yatabawwao minha haythu yashaonuseebu birahmatina man nashao walanudeeAAu ajra almuhsineena | وكذلك مكنا ليوسف في الأرض يتبوأ منها حيث يشاء نصيب برحمتنا من نشاء ولا نضيع أجر المحسنين وَكَذَلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَتَبَوَّأُ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ يَشَاءُ نُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِنَا مَن نَّشَاءُ وَلاَ نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| مكنا - We established| ليوسف - [to] Yusuf| في - in| الأرض - the land| يتبوأ - to settle| منها - therein| حيث - where ever| يشاء - he willed.| نصيب - We bestow| برحمتنا - Our Mercy| من - (on) whom| نشاء - We will.| ولا - And not| نضيع - We let go waste| أجر - (the) reward| المحسنين - (of) the good-doers.| | ||||||
| 20 [13:37] | Wakathalika anzalnahu hukmanAAarabiyyan wala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda majaaka mina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi minwaliyyin wala waqin | وكذلك أنزلناه حكما عربيا ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعدما جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا واق وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّا وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ وَاقٍ | |||||
