| 1 [2:125] | Wa-ith jaAAalna albayta mathabatanlilnnasi waamnan waittakhithoo minmaqami ibraheema musallan waAAahidnaila ibraheema wa-ismaAAeela an tahhirabaytiya liltta-ifeena waalAAakifeenawaalrrukkaAAi alssujoodi |  وإذ جعلنا البيت مثابة للناس وأمنا واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى وعهدنا إلى إبراهيم وإسماعيل أن طهرا بيتي للطائفين والعاكفين والركع السجودوَإِذْ جَعَلْنَا الْبَيْتَ مَثَابَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَمْناً وَاتَّخِذُواْ مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| جعلنا - We made| البيت - the House| مثابة - a place of return| للناس - for mankind| وأمنا - and (a place of) security| واتخذوا - and (said), "Take| من - [from]| مقام - (the) standing place| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim,| مصلى - (as) a place of prayer."| وعهدنا - And We made a covenant| إلى - with| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| وإسماعيل - and Ishmael| أن - [that],| طهرا - "[You both] purify| بيتي - My House| للطائفين - for those who circumambulate| والعاكفين - and those who seclude themselves for devotion and prayer| والركع - and those who bow down| السجود - and those who prostrate."| | ||||||
| 2 [18:56] | Wama nursilu almursaleena illamubashshireena wamunthireena wayujadilu allatheenakafaroo bialbatili liyudhidoo bihi alhaqqawaittakhathoo ayatee wama onthiroohuzuwan | وما نرسل المرسلين إلا مبشرين ومنذرين ويجادل الذين كفروا بالباطل ليدحضوا به الحق واتخذوا آياتي وما أنذروا هزوا وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلاَّ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ وَيُجَادِلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَمَا أُنذِرُوا هُزُوًا | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| نرسل - We send| المرسلين - the Messengers| إلا - except| مبشرين - (as) bearers of glad tidings| ومنذرين - and (as) warners.| ويجادل - And dispute| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve| بالباطل - with falsehood,| ليدحضوا - to refute| به - thereby| الحق - the truth.| واتخذوا - And they take| آياتي - My Verses| وما - and what| أنذروا - they are warned| هزوا - (in) ridicule.| | ||||||
| 3 [18:106] | Thalika jazaohum jahannamubima kafaroo waittakhathoo ayateewarusulee huzuwan | ذلك جزاؤهم جهنم بما كفروا واتخذوا آياتي ورسلي هزوا ذَلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَرُسُلِي هُزُوًا | |||||
| Words | |ذلك - That| جزاؤهم - (is) their recompense -| جهنم - Hell -| بما - because| كفروا - they disbelieved,| واتخذوا - and took| آياتي - My Verses| ورسلي - and My Messengers| هزوا - (in) ridicule.| | ||||||
| 4 [19:81] | Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahialihatan liyakoonoo lahum AAizzan | واتخذوا من دون الله آلهة ليكونوا لهم عزا وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِّيَكُونُواْ لَهُمْ عِزًّا | |||||
| Words | |واتخذوا - And they have taken| من - besides Allah,| دون - besides Allah,| الله - besides Allah,| آلهة - gods,| ليكونوا - that they may be| لهم - for them| عزا - an honor.| | ||||||
| 5 [25:3] | Waittakhathoo min doonihi alihatanla yakhluqoona shay-an wahum yukhlaqoona walayamlikoona li-anfusihim darran wala nafAAan walayamlikoona mawtan wala hayatan walanushooran | واتخذوا من دونه آلهة لا يخلقون شيئا وهم يخلقون ولا يملكون لأنفسهم ضرا ولا نفعا ولا يملكون موتا ولا حياة ولا نشورا وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَاةً وَلَا نُشُورًا | |||||
| Words | |واتخذوا - Yet they have taken| من - besides Him| دونه - besides Him| آلهة - gods| لا - not| يخلقون - they create| شيئا - anything,| وهم - while they| يخلقون - are created,| ولا - and not| يملكون - they possess| لأنفسهم - for themselves| ضرا - any harm| ولا - and not| نفعا - any benefit,| ولا - and not| يملكون - they control| موتا - death| ولا - and not| حياة - life| ولا - and not| نشورا - resurrection.| | ||||||
| 6 [36:74] | Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahialihatan laAAallahum yunsaroona | واتخذوا من دون الله آلهة لعلهم ينصرون وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لَعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ | |||||
