| 1 [2:130] | Waman yarghabu AAan millati ibraheemailla man safiha nafsahu walaqadi istafaynahufee alddunya wa-innahu fee al-akhiratilamina alssaliheena |  ومن يرغب عن ملة إبراهيم إلا من سفه نفسه ولقد اصطفيناه في الدنيا وإنه في الآخرة لمن الصالحينوَمَن يَرْغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِلاَّ مَن سَفِهَ نَفْسَهُ وَلَقَدِ اصْطَفَيْنَاهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And who| يرغب - will turn away| عن - from| ملة - (the) religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| إلا - except| من - who| سفه - fooled| نفسه - himself?| ولقد - And indeed| اصطفيناه - We chose him| في - in| الدنيا - the world,| وإنه - and indeed he,| في - in,| الآخرة - the Hereafter| لمن - surely (will be) among| الصالحين - the righteous.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:207] | Wamina alnnasi man yashreenafsahu ibtighaa mardati Allahi waAllahuraoofun bialAAibadi | ومن الناس من يشري نفسه ابتغاء مرضات الله والله رءوف بالعباد وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْرِي نَفْسَهُ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ رَؤُوفٌ بِالْعِبَادِ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| الناس - the people| من - (is the one) who| يشري - sells| نفسه - his own self| ابتغاء - seeking| مرضات - pleasure| الله - (of) Allah.| والله - And Allah| رءوف - (is) full of Kindness| بالعباد - to His servants.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:231] | Wa-itha tallaqtumu alnnisaafabalaghna ajalahunna faamsikoohunna bimaAAroofin aw sarrihoohunnabimaAAroofin wala tumsikoohunna diraranlitaAAtadoo waman yafAAal thalika faqad thalamanafsahu wala tattakhithoo ayati Allahihuzuwan waothkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykumwama anzala AAalaykum mina alkitabi waalhikmatiyaAAithukum bihi waittaqoo Allaha waiAAlamooanna Allaha bikulli shay-in AAaleemun | وإذا طلقتم النساء فبلغن أجلهن فأمسكوهن بمعروف أو سرحوهن بمعروف ولا تمسكوهن ضرارا لتعتدوا ومن يفعل ذلك فقد ظلم نفسه ولا تتخذوا آيات الله هزوا واذكروا نعمت الله عليكم وما أنزل عليكم من الكتاب والحكمة يعظكم به واتقوا الله واعلموا أن الله بكل شيء عليم وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ سَرِّحُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَلاَ تُمْسِكُوهُنَّ ضِرَارًا لَّتَعْتَدُواْ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَهُ وَلاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ آيَاتِ اللّهِ هُزُوًا وَاذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أَنزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ يَعِظُكُم بِهِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| طلقتم - you divorce| النساء - the women| فبلغن - and they reach| أجلهن - their (waiting) term,| فأمسكوهن - then retain them| بمعروف - in a fair manner| أو - or| سرحوهن - release them| بمعروف - in a fair manner.| ولا - And (do) not| تمسكوهن - retain them| ضرارا - (to) hurt| لتعتدوا - so that you transgress.| ومن - And whoever| يفعل - does| ذلك - that,| فقد - then indeed,| ظلم - he wronged| نفسه - himself.| ولا - And (do) not| تتخذوا - take| آيات - (the) Verses| الله - (of) Allah| هزوا - (in) jest,| واذكروا - and remember| نعمت - (the) Favors| الله - (of) Allah| عليكم - upon you| وما - and what| أنزل - (is) revealed| عليكم - to you| من - of| الكتاب - the Book| والحكمة - and [the] wisdom;| يعظكم - He instructs you| به - with it.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah| واعلموا - and know| أن - that| الله - Allah (is)| بكل - of every| شيء - thing| عليم - All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 4 [3:28] | La yattakhithi almu/minoonaalkafireena awliyaa min dooni almu/mineena wamanyafAAal thalika falaysa mina Allahi fee shay-in illaan tattaqoo minhum tuqatan wayuhaththirukumuAllahu nafsahu wa-ila Allahi almaseeru | لا يتخذ المؤمنون الكافرين أولياء من دون المؤمنين ومن يفعل ذلك فليس من الله في شيء إلا أن تتقوا منهم تقاة ويحذركم الله نفسه وإلى الله المصير لاَّ يَتَّخِذِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُوْنِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ اللّهِ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلاَّ أَن تَتَّقُواْ مِنْهُمْ تُقَاةً وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللّهُ نَفْسَهُ وَإِلَى اللّهِ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |لا - (Let) not| يتخذ - take| المؤمنون - the believers,| الكافرين - the disbelievers| أولياء - (as) allies| من - from| دون - instead of| المؤمنين - the believers.| ومن - And whoever| يفعل - does| ذلك - that,| فليس - then not he (has)| من - from| الله - Allah| في - in| شيء - anything| إلا - except| أن - that| تتقوا - you fear| منهم - from them,| تقاة - (as) a precaution.| ويحذركم - And warns you| الله - Allah| نفسه - (of) Himself,| وإلى - and to| الله - Allah| المصير - (is) the final return.| | ||||||
| 5 [3:30] | Yawma tajidu kullu nafsin ma AAamilatmin khayrin muhdaran wama AAamilat min soo-intawaddu law anna baynaha wabaynahu amadan baAAeedan wayuhaththirukumuAllahu nafsahu waAllahu raoofun bialAAibadi | يوم تجد كل نفس ما عملت من خير محضرا وما عملت من سوء تود لو أن بينها وبينه أمدا بعيدا ويحذركم الله نفسه والله رءوف بالعباد يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مُّحْضَرًا وَمَا عَمِلَتْ مِن سُوءٍ تَوَدُّ لَوْ أَنَّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُ أَمَدًا بَعِيدًا وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللّهُ نَفْسَهُ وَاللّهُ رَؤُوفٌ بِالْعِبَادِ | |||||
| Words | |يوم - (On the) day| تجد - will find| كل - every| نفس - soul| ما - what| عملت - it did| من - of| خير - good -| محضرا - presented,| وما - and what| عملت - it did| من - of| سوء - evil,| تود - it will wish| لو - [if]| أن - that| بينها - between itself| وبينه - and between it (evil)| أمدا - (was) a distance| بعيدا - great.| ويحذركم - And warns you| الله - Allah| نفسه - (against) Himself,| والله - and Allah| رءوف - (is) Most Kind| بالعباد - to (His) [the] slaves.| | ||||||
| 6 [3:93] | Kullu alttaAAami kanahillan libanee isra-eela illa ma harramaisra-eelu AAala nafsihi min qabli an tunazzala alttawratuqul fa/too bialttawrati faotlooha inkuntum sadiqeena | كل الطعام كان حلا لبني إسرائيل إلا ما حرم إسرائيل على نفسه من قبل أن تنزل التوراة قل فأتوا بالتوراة فاتلوها إن كنتم صادقين كُلُّ الطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِـلاًّ لِّبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلاَّ مَا حَرَّمَ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تُنَزَّلَ التَّوْرَاةُ قُلْ فَأْتُواْ بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||

| 7 [4:110] | Waman yaAAmal soo-an aw yathlimnafsahu thumma yastaghfiri Allaha yajidi Allahaghafooran raheeman | ومن يعمل سوءا أو يظلم نفسه ثم يستغفر الله يجد الله غفورا رحيما وَمَن يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا أَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اللّهَ يَجِدِ اللّهَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And whoever| يعمل - does| سوءا - evil| أو - or| يظلم - wrongs| نفسه - his soul| ثم - then| يستغفر - seeks forgiveness| الله - (of) Allah| يجد - he will find| الله - Allah| غفورا - Oft-Forgiving,| رحيما - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 8 [4:111] | Waman yaksib ithman fa-innamayaksibuhu AAala nafsihi wakana AllahuAAaleeman hakeeman | ومن يكسب إثما فإنما يكسبه على نفسه وكان الله عليما حكيما وَمَن يَكْسِبْ إِثْمًا فَإِنَّمَا يَكْسِبُهُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ وَكَانَ اللّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And whoever| يكسب - earns| إثما - sin,| فإنما - then only| يكسبه - he earns it| على - against| نفسه - his soul.| وكان - And is| الله - Allah| عليما - All-Knowing,| حكيما - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 9 [5:30] | FatawwaAAat lahu nafsuhu qatlaakheehi faqatalahu faasbaha mina alkhasireena | فطوعت له نفسه قتل أخيه فقتله فأصبح من الخاسرين فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فطوعت - Then prompted| له - to him| نفسه - his soul| قتل - (to) kill| أخيه - his brother,| فقتله - so he killed him| فأصبح - and became| من - of| الخاسرين - the losers.| | ||||||
| 10 [6:12] | Qul liman ma fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi qul lillahi kataba AAalanafsihi alrrahmata layajmaAAannakum ilayawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi allatheenakhasiroo anfusahum fahum la yu/minoona | قل لمن ما في السماوات والأرض قل لله كتب على نفسه الرحمة ليجمعنكم إلى يوم القيامة لا ريب فيه الذين خسروا أنفسهم فهم لا يؤمنون قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قُل لِّلّهِ كَتَبَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| لمن - "To whom (belongs)| ما - what| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth?"| قل - Say,| لله - "To Allah."| كتب - He has decreed| على - upon| نفسه - Himself| الرحمة - the Mercy.| ليجمعنكم - Surely He will assemble you| إلى - on| يوم - (the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| لا - (there is) no| ريب - doubt| فيه - about it.| الذين - Those who| خسروا - have lost| أنفسهم - themselves,| فهم - then they| لا - (do) not| يؤمنون - believe.| | ||||||
| 11 [6:54] | Wa-itha jaaka allatheenayu/minoona bi-ayatina faqul salamunAAalaykum kataba rabbukum AAala nafsihi alrrahmataannahu man AAamila minkum soo-an bijahalatin thumma tabamin baAAdihi waaslaha faannahu ghafoorun raheemun | وإذا جاءك الذين يؤمنون بآياتنا فقل سلام عليكم كتب ربكم على نفسه الرحمة أنه من عمل منكم سوءا بجهالة ثم تاب من بعده وأصلح فأنه غفور رحيم وَإِذَا جَاءَكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ أَنَّهُ مَن عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| جاءك - come to you| الذين - those who| يؤمنون - believe| بآياتنا - in Our Verses| فقل - then say,| سلام - "Peace| عليكم - (be) upon you.| كتب - (Has) Prescribed| ربكم - your Lord| على - upon| نفسه - Himself| الرحمة - the Mercy,| أنه - that he| من - who| عمل - does| منكم - among you| سوءا - evil| بجهالة - in ignorance| ثم - then| تاب - repents| من - from| بعده - after it| وأصلح - and reforms,| فأنه - then, indeed He| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| رحيم - Most Merciful."| | ||||||
| 12 [9:120] | Ma kana li-ahli almadeenatiwaman hawlahum mina al-aAArabi an yatakhallafooAAan rasooli Allahi wala yarghaboo bi-anfusihimAAan nafsihi thalika bi-annahum la yuseebuhumthamaon wala nasabun walamakhmasatun fee sabeeli Allahi wala yataoonamawti-an yagheethu alkuffara walayanaloona min AAaduwwin naylan illa kutiba lahumbihi AAamalun salihun inna Allaha layudeeAAu ajra almuhsineena | ما كان لأهل المدينة ومن حولهم من الأعراب أن يتخلفوا عن رسول الله ولا يرغبوا بأنفسهم عن نفسه ذلك بأنهم لا يصيبهم ظمأ ولا نصب ولا مخمصة في سبيل الله ولا يطئون موطئا يغيظ الكفار ولا ينالون من عدو نيلا إلا كتب لهم به عمل صالح إن الله لا يضيع أجر المحسنين مَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُم مِّنَ الْأَعْرَابِ أَن يَتَخَلَّفُواْ عَن رَّسُولِ اللّهِ وَلاَ يَرْغَبُواْ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ عَن نَّفْسِهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يُصِيبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلاَ نَصَبٌ وَلاَ مَخْمَصَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَلاَ يَطَؤُونَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَلاَ يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّيْلاً إِلاَّ كُتِبَ لَهُم بِهِ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ما - Not| كان - it was| لأهل - (for) the people| المدينة - of the Madinah| ومن - and who| حولهم - were around them| من - of| الأعراب - the bedouins,| أن - that| يتخلفوا - they remain behind| عن - after| رسول - the Messenger| الله - of Allah,| ولا - and not| يرغبوا - they prefer| بأنفسهم - their lives| عن - to| نفسه - his life.| ذلك - That is| بأنهم - because [they]| لا - (does) not| يصيبهم - afflict them| ظمأ - thirst| ولا - and not| نصب - fatigue| ولا - and not| مخمصة - hunger| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| ولا - and not| يطئون - they step| موطئا - any step| يغيظ - that angers| الكفار - the disbelievers| ولا - and not| ينالون - they inflict| من - on| عدو - an enemy| نيلا - an infliction| إلا - except| كتب - is recorded| لهم - for them| به - in it| عمل - (as) a deed| صالح - righteous.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يضيع - allow to be lost| أجر - the reward| المحسنين - (of) the good-doers.| | ||||||
| 13 [12:23] | Warawadat-hu allatee huwa fee baytihaAAan nafsihi waghallaqati al-abwaba waqalat haytalaka qala maAAatha Allahi innahu rabbee ahsanamathwaya innahu la yuflihu alththalimoona | وراودته التي هو في بيتها عن نفسه وغلقت الأبواب وقالت هيت لك قال معاذ الله إنه ربي أحسن مثواي إنه لا يفلح الظالمون وَرَاوَدَتْهُ الَّتِي هُوَ فِي بَيْتِهَا عَن نَّفْسِهِ وَغَلَّقَتِ الْأَبْوَابَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللّهِ إِنَّهُ رَبِّي أَحْسَنَ مَثْوَايَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وراودته - And sought to seduce him| التي - she who,| هو - he (was)| في - in| بيتها - her house| عن - from| نفسه - his self.| وغلقت - And she closed| الأبواب - the doors| وقالت - and she said,| هيت - "Come on| لك - you."| قال - He said,| معاذ - "I seek refuge in Allah.| الله - "I seek refuge in Allah.| إنه - Indeed, he| ربي - (is) my lord| أحسن - (who has) made good| مثواي - my stay.| إنه - Indeed,| لا - not| يفلح - will succeed| الظالمون - the wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 14 [12:30] | Waqala niswatun fee almadeenatiimraatu alAAazeezi turawidu fataha AAannafsihi qad shaghafaha hubban inna lanarahafee dalalin mubeenin | وقال نسوة في المدينة امرأت العزيز تراود فتاها عن نفسه قد شغفها حبا إنا لنراها في ضلال مبين وَقَالَ نِسْوَةٌ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ امْرَأَةُ الْعَزِيزِ تُرَاوِدُ فَتَاهَا عَن نَّفْسِهِ قَدْ شَغَفَهَا حُبًّا إِنَّا لَنَرَاهَا فِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| نسوة - women| في - in| المدينة - the city,| امرأت - "The wife of| العزيز - Aziz| تراود - (is) seeking to seduce| فتاها - her slave boy| عن - about| نفسه - himself;| قد - indeed,| شغفها - he has impassioned her| حبا - (with) love.| إنا - Indeed, we| لنراها - [we] surely see her| في - in| ضلال - an error| مبين - clear."| | ||||||
| 15 [12:32] | Qalat fathalikunna allatheelumtunnanee feehi walaqad rawadtuhu AAan nafsihi faistAAsamawala-in lam yafAAal ma amuruhu layusjanannawalayakoonan mina alssaghireena | قالت فذلكن الذي لمتنني فيه ولقد راودته عن نفسه فاستعصم ولئن لم يفعل ما آمره ليسجنن وليكونا من الصاغرين قَالَتْ فَذَلِكُنَّ الَّذِي لُمْتُنَّنِي فِيهِ وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدتُّهُ عَن نَّفْسِهِ فَاسَتَعْصَمَ وَلَئِن لَّمْ يَفْعَلْ مَا آمُرُهُ لَيُسْجَنَنَّ وَلَيَكُونًا مِّنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالت - She said,| فذلكن - "That| الذي - (is) the one,| لمتنني - you blamed me| فيه - about him.| ولقد - And certainly| راودته - I sought to seduce him,| عن - [from]| نفسه - [himself]| فاستعصم - but he saved himself,| ولئن - and if| لم - not| يفعل - he does| ما - what| آمره - I order him,| ليسجنن - surely, he will be imprisoned| وليكونا - and certainly will be| من - of| الصاغرين - those who are disgraced."| | ||||||
| 16 [12:51] | Qala ma khatbukunna ithrawadtunna yoosufa AAan nafsihi qulna hasha lillahima AAalimna AAalayhi min soo-in qalatiimraatu alAAazeezi al-ana hashasa alhaqquana rawadtuhu AAan nafsihi wa-innahu lamina alssadiqeena | قال ما خطبكن إذ راودتن يوسف عن نفسه قلن حاش لله ما علمنا عليه من سوء قالت امرأت العزيز الآن حصحص الحق أنا راودته عن نفسه وإنه لمن الصادقين قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُنَّ إِذْ رَاوَدتُّنَّ يُوسُفَ عَن نَّفْسِهِ قُلْنَ حَاشَ لِلّهِ مَا عَلِمْنَا عَلَيْهِ مِن سُوءٍ قَالَتِ امْرَأَةُ الْعَزِيزِ الْآنَ حَصْحَصَ الْحَقُّ أَنَاْ رَاوَدتُّهُ عَن نَّفْسِهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| ما - "What| خطبكن - (was) your affair| إذ - when| راودتن - you sought to seduce| يوسف - Yusuf| عن - from| نفسه - himself?"| قلن - They said,| حاش - "Allah forbid!| لله - "Allah forbid!| ما - Not| علمنا - we know| عليه - about him| من - any| سوء - evil."| قالت - Said| امرأت - (the) wife| العزيز - (of) Aziz,| الآن - "Now| حصحص - (is) manifest| الحق - the truth.| أنا - I| راودته - sought to seduce him| عن - from| نفسه - himself,| وإنه - and indeed, he| لمن - (is) surely of| الصادقين - the truthful.| | ||||||
| 17 [12:77] | Qaloo in yasriq faqad saraqa akhunlahu min qablu faasarraha yoosufu fee nafsihi walam yubdihalahum qala antum sharrun makanan waAllahuaAAlamu bima tasifoona | قالوا إن يسرق فقد سرق أخ له من قبل فأسرها يوسف في نفسه ولم يبدها لهم قال أنتم شر مكانا والله أعلم بما تصفون قَالُواْ إِن يَسْرِقْ فَقَدْ سَرَقَ أَخٌ لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَسَرَّهَا يُوسُفُ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَلَمْ يُبْدِهَا لَهُمْ قَالَ أَنتُمْ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمْ بِمَا تَصِفُونَ | |||||

| 19 [47:38] | Ha antum haola-itudAAawna litunfiqoo fee sabeeli Allahi faminkum manyabkhalu waman yabkhal fa-innama yabkhalu AAan nafsihi waAllahualghaniyyu waantumu alfuqarao wa-in tatawallaw yastabdilqawman ghayrakum thumma la yakoonoo amthalakum | ها أنتم هؤلاء تدعون لتنفقوا في سبيل الله فمنكم من يبخل ومن يبخل فإنما يبخل عن نفسه والله الغني وأنتم الفقراء وإن تتولوا يستبدل قوما غيركم ثم لا يكونوا أمثالكم هَاأَنتُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ تُدْعَوْنَ لِتُنفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَّن يَبْخَلُ وَمَن يَبْخَلْ فَإِنَّمَا يَبْخَلُ عَن نَّفْسِهِ وَاللَّهُ الْغَنِيُّ وَأَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ | |||||
| Words | |ها - Here| أنتم - You are| هؤلاء - these,| تدعون - called| لتنفقوا - to spend| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah -| فمنكم - but among you| من - (are some) who| يبخل - withhold,| ومن - and whoever| يبخل - withholds,| فإنما - then only| يبخل - he withholds| عن - from| نفسه - himself.| والله - But Allah| الغني - (is) Free of need,| وأنتم - while you| الفقراء - (are) the needy.| وإن - And if| تتولوا - you turn away| يستبدل - He will replace you| قوما - (with) a people| غيركم - other than you,| ثم - then| لا - not| يكونوا - they will be| أمثالكم - (the) likes of you.| | ||||||
| 20 [48:10] | Inna allatheena yubayiAAoonakainnama yubayiAAoona Allaha yadu Allahifawqa aydeehim faman nakatha fa-innama yankuthu AAalanafsihi waman awfa bima AAahada AAalayhu Allahafasayu/teehi ajran AAatheeman | إن الذين يبايعونك إنما يبايعون الله يد الله فوق أيديهم فمن نكث فإنما ينكث على نفسه ومن أوفى بما عاهد عليه الله فسيؤتيه أجرا عظيما إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ اللَّهَ يَدُ اللَّهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَمَن نَّكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا يَنكُثُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ أَوْفَى بِمَا عَاهَدَ عَلَيْهُ اللَّهَ فَسَيُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا | |||||
