| 1 [10:85] | Faqaloo AAala Allahitawakkalna rabbana la tajAAalnafitnatan lilqawmi alththalimeena |  فقالوا على الله توكلنا ربنا لا تجعلنا فتنة للقوم الظالمينفَقَالُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فقالوا - Then they said,| على - "Upon| الله - Allah| توكلنا - we put our trust.| ربنا - Our Lord!| لا - (Do) not| تجعلنا - make us| فتنة - a trial| للقوم - for the people -| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 2 [11:44] | Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee maakiwaya samao aqliAAee wagheeda almaowaqudiya al-amru waistawat AAala aljoodiyyiwaqeela buAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena | وقيل يا أرض ابلعي ماءك ويا سماء أقلعي وغيض الماء وقضي الأمر واستوت على الجودي وقيل بعدا للقوم الظالمين وَقِيلَ يَا أَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَاءَكِ وَيَا سَمَاءُ أَقْلِعِي وَغِيضَ الْمَاءُ وَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ وَقِيلَ بُعْداً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقيل - And it was said,| يا - O| أرض - "O earth!| ابلعي - Swallow| ماءك - your water,| ويا - And O| سماء - Withhold."| أقلعي - And subsided| وغيض - the water,| الماء - and was fulfilled| وقضي - the Command.| الأمر - And it rested| واستوت - on| على - the Judi.| الجودي - And it was said,| وقيل - "Away| بعدا - with the people| للقوم - the wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 3 [23:41] | Faakhathat-humu alssayhatubialhaqqi fajaAAalnahum ghuthaanfabuAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena | فأخذتهم الصيحة بالحق فجعلناهم غثاء فبعدا للقوم الظالمين فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فأخذتهم - So seized them| الصيحة - the awful cry| بالحق - in truth,| فجعلناهم - and We made them| غثاء - (as) rubbish of dead leaves.| فبعدا - So away| للقوم - with the people -| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
