| 1 [2:71] | Qala innahu yaqoolu innahabaqaratun la thaloolun tutheeru al-arda walatasqee alhartha musallamatun la shiyata feehaqaloo al-ana ji/ta bialhaqqi fathabahoohawama kadoo yafAAaloona |  قال إنه يقول إنها بقرة لا ذلول تثير الأرض ولا تسقي الحرث مسلمة لا شية فيها قالوا الآن جئت بالحق فذبحوها وما كادوا يفعلونقَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لاَّ ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ الْأَرْضَ وَلاَ تَسْقِي الْحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لاَّ شِيَةَ فِيهَا قَالُواْ الْآنَ جِئْتَ بِالْحَقِّ فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| إنه - "Indeed, He| يقول - says,| إنها - "[Indeed] it| بقرة - (is) a cow| لا - not| ذلول - trained| تثير - to plough| الأرض - the earth,| ولا - and not| تسقي - water| الحرث - the field;| مسلمة - sound,| لا - no| شية - blemish| فيها - in it."| قالوا - They said,| الآن - "Now| جئت - you have come| بالحق - with the truth."| فذبحوها - So they slaughtered it,| وما - and not| كادوا - they were near| يفعلون - (to) doing (it).| | ||||||
| 2 [17:73] | Wa-in kadoo layaftinoonaka AAani allatheeawhayna ilayka litaftariya AAalayna ghayrahuwa-ithan laittakhathooka khaleelan | وإن كادوا ليفتنونك عن الذي أوحينا إليك لتفتري علينا غيره وإذا لاتخذوك خليلا وَإِن كَادُواْ لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ عَنِ الَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَفْتَرِيَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَهُ وَإِذًا لاَّتَّخَذُوكَ خَلِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| كادوا - they were about (to)| ليفتنونك - tempt you away| عن - from| الذي - that which| أوحينا - We revealed,| إليك - to you| لتفتري - that you invent| علينا - about Us| غيره - other (than) it.| وإذا - And then| لاتخذوك - surely they would take you| خليلا - (as) a friend.| | ||||||
| 3 [17:76] | Wa-in kadoo layastafizzoonaka minaal-ardi liyukhrijooka minha wa-ithan layalbathoona khilafaka illa qaleelan | وإن كادوا ليستفزونك من الأرض ليخرجوك منها وإذا لا يلبثون خلافك إلا قليلا وَإِن كَادُواْ لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ لِيُخْرِجُوكَ مِنْهَا وَإِذًا لاَّ يَلْبَثُونَ خِلاَفَكَ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| كادوا - they were about| ليستفزونك - (to) scare you| من - from| الأرض - the land,| ليخرجوك - that they evict you| منها - from it.| وإذا - But then| لا - not| يلبثون - they (would) have stayed| خلافك - after you| إلا - except| قليلا - a little.| | ||||||
| 4 [72:19] | Waannahu lamma qama AAabdu AllahiyadAAoohu kadoo yakoonoona AAalayhi libadan | وأنه لما قام عبد الله يدعوه كادوا يكونون عليه لبدا وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا | |||||
| Words | |وأنه - And that| لما - when| قام - stood up| عبد - (the) slave| الله - (of) Allah| يدعوه - calling (upon) Him,| كادوا - they almost| يكونون - became| عليه - around him| لبدا - a compacted mass.| | ||||||
