| 1 [3:86] | Kayfa yahdee Allahu qawman kafaroobaAAda eemanihim washahidoo anna alrrasoola haqqunwajaahumu albayyinatu waAllahu layahdee alqawma alththalimeena |  كيف يهدي الله قوما كفروا بعد إيمانهم وشهدوا أن الرسول حق وجاءهم البينات والله لا يهدي القوم الظالمينكَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللّهُ قَوْمًا كَفَرُواْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَشَهِدُواْ أَنَّ الرَّسُولَ حَقٌّ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |كيف - How| يهدي - (shall) guide| الله - Allah| قوما - a people| كفروا - (who) disbelieved| بعد - after| إيمانهم - their belief| وشهدوا - and (had) witnessed| أن - that| الرسول - the Messenger| حق - (is) true,| وجاءهم - and came to them| البينات - the clear proofs?| والله - And Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the people| الظالمين - [the] wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 2 [5:22] | Qaloo ya moosa innafeeha qawman jabbareena wa-inna lannadkhulaha hatta yakhrujoo minhafa-in yakhrujoo minha fa-inna dakhiloona | قالوا يا موسى إن فيها قوما جبارين وإنا لن ندخلها حتى يخرجوا منها فإن يخرجوا منها فإنا داخلون قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّى يَخْرُجُواْ مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُواْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَاخِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| موسى - "O Musa!| إن - Indeed,| فيها - in it| قوما - (are) people| جبارين - (of) tyrannical strength| وإنا - and indeed, we| لن - never| ندخلها - will enter it| حتى - until| يخرجوا - they leave| منها - from it,| فإن - and if| يخرجوا - they leave| منها - [from] it| فإنا - then certainly we (will)| داخلون - enter (it)."| | ||||||
| 3 [6:89] | Ola-ika allatheena ataynahumualkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwatafa-in yakfur biha haola-i faqad wakkalnabiha qawman laysoo biha bikafireena | أولئك الذين آتيناهم الكتاب والحكم والنبوة فإن يكفر بها هؤلاء فقد وكلنا بها قوما ليسوا بها بكافرين أُوْلَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَـؤُلاَءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّيْسُواْ بِهَا بِكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |أولئك - Those -| الذين - (are) ones whom| آتيناهم - We gave them| الكتاب - the Book| والحكم - and the judgment| والنبوة - and the Prophethood.| فإن - But if| يكفر - disbelieve| بها - in it| هؤلاء - these,| فقد - then indeed,| وكلنا - We have entrusted| بها - it| قوما - (to) a people| ليسوا - who are not| بها - therein| بكافرين - disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 4 [7:64] | Fakaththaboohu faanjaynahu waallatheenamaAAahu fee alfulki waaghraqna allatheena kaththaboobi-ayatina innahum kanoo qawmanAAameena | فكذبوه فأنجيناه والذين معه في الفلك وأغرقنا الذين كذبوا بآياتنا إنهم كانوا قوما عمين فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَأَغْرَقْنَا الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ قَوْماً عَمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فكذبوه - But they denied him,| فأنجيناه - so We saved him| والذين - and those who| معه - (were) with him| في - in| الفلك - the ship.| وأغرقنا - And We drowned| الذين - those who| كذبوا - denied| بآياتنا - Our Verses.| إنهم - Indeed, they| كانوا - were| قوما - a people| عمين - blind.| | ||||||
| 5 [7:133] | Faarsalna AAalayhimu alttoofanawaaljarada waalqummala waalddafadiAAawaalddama ayatin mufassalatinfaistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeena | فأرسلنا عليهم الطوفان والجراد والقمل والضفادع والدم آيات مفصلات فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما مجرمين فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ وَالْجَرَادَ وَالْقُمَّلَ وَالضَّفَادِعَ وَالدَّمَ آيَاتٍ مُّفَصَّلاَتٍ فَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فأرسلنا - So We sent| عليهم - on them| الطوفان - the flood| والجراد - and the locusts| والقمل - and the lice| والضفادع - and the frogs| والدم - and the blood| آيات - (as) signs| مفصلات - manifest,| فاستكبروا - but they showed arrogance| وكانوا - and they were| قوما - a people,| مجرمين - criminal.| | ||||||
| 6 [7:164] | Wa-ith qalat ommatun minhumlima taAAithoona qawman Allahu muhlikuhum awmuAAaththibuhum AAathaban shadeedan qaloomaAAthiratan ila rabbikum walaAAallahum yattaqoona | وإذ قالت أمة منهم لم تعظون قوما الله مهلكهم أو معذبهم عذابا شديدا قالوا معذرة إلى ربكم ولعلهم يتقون وَإِذْ قَالَتْ أُمَّةٌ مِّنْهُمْ لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوْمًا اللّهُ مُهْلِكُهُمْ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا قَالُواْ مَعْذِرَةً إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قالت - said| أمة - a community| منهم - among them,| لم - "Why| تعظون - (do) you preach| قوما - a people,| الله - (whom) Allah| مهلكهم - (is going to) destroy them| أو - or| معذبهم - punish them| عذابا - (with) a punishment| شديدا - severe?"| قالوا - They said,| معذرة - "To be absolved| إلى - before| ربكم - your Lord| ولعلهم - and that they may| يتقون - become righteous."| | ||||||
| 7 [9:13] | Ala tuqatiloona qawmannakathoo aymanahum wahammoo bi-ikhraji alrrasooliwahum badaookum awwala marratin atakhshawnahum faAllahuahaqqu an takhshawhu in kuntum mu/mineena | ألا تقاتلون قوما نكثوا أيمانهم وهموا بإخراج الرسول وهم بدءوكم أول مرة أتخشونهم فالله أحق أن تخشوه إن كنتم مؤمنين أَلاَ تُقَاتِلُونَ قَوْمًا نَّكَثُواْ أَيْمَانَهُمْ وَهَمُّواْ بِإِخْرَاجِ الرَّسُولِ وَهُم بَدَؤُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ فَاللّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَوْهُ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ألا - Will not| تقاتلون - you fight| قوما - a people| نكثوا - who broke| أيمانهم - their oaths| وهموا - and determined| بإخراج - to drive out| الرسول - the Messenger| وهم - and they| بدءوكم - began (to attack) you| أول - first| مرة - time?| أتخشونهم - Do you fear them?| فالله - But Allah| أحق - (has) more right| أن - that| تخشوه - you should fear Him,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 8 [9:39] | Illa tanfiroo yuAAaththibkumAAathaban aleeman wayastabdil qawman ghayrakum walatadurroohu shay-an waAllahu AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | إلا تنفروا يعذبكم عذابا أليما ويستبدل قوما غيركم ولا تضروه شيئا والله على كل شيء قدير إِلاَّ تَنفِرُواْ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلاَ تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْئًا وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |إلا - If not| تنفروا - you go forth,| يعذبكم - He will punish you| عذابا - (with) a painful punishment,| أليما - (with) a painful punishment,| ويستبدل - and will replace you| قوما - (with) a people| غيركم - other than you,| ولا - and not| تضروه - you can harm Him| شيئا - (in) anything.| والله - And Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 9 [9:53] | Qul anfiqoo tawAAan aw karhan lanyutaqabbala minkum innakum kuntum qawman fasiqeena | قل أنفقوا طوعا أو كرها لن يتقبل منكم إنكم كنتم قوما فاسقين قُلْ أَنفِقُواْ طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا لَّن يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| أنفقوا - "Spend| طوعا - willingly| أو - or| كرها - unwillingly;| لن - never| يتقبل - will be accepted| منكم - from you.| إنكم - Indeed, you| كنتم - [you] are| قوما - a people| فاسقين - defiantly disobedient."| | ||||||
| 10 [9:115] | Wama kana Allahu liyudillaqawman baAAda ith hadahum hattayubayyina lahum ma yattaqoona inna Allaha bikullishay-in AAaleemun | وما كان الله ليضل قوما بعد إذ هداهم حتى يبين لهم ما يتقون إن الله بكل شيء عليم وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِلَّ قَوْمًا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَاهُمْ حَتَّى يُبَيِّنَ لَهُم مَّا يَتَّقُونَ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - is| الله - (for) Allah| ليضل - that He lets go astray| قوما - a people| بعد - after| إذ - [when]| هداهم - He has guided them| حتى - until| يبين - He makes clear| لهم - to them| ما - what| يتقون - they should fear.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| بكل - (of) every| شيء - thing| عليم - (is) All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 11 [10:75] | Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosawaharoona ila firAAawna wamala-ihi bi-ayatinafaistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeena | ثم بعثنا من بعدهم موسى وهارون إلى فرعون وملئه بآياتنا فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما مجرمين ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَى وَهَارُونَ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ بِآيَاتِنَا فَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| بعثنا - We sent| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| موسى - Musa| وهارون - and Harun| إلى - to| فرعون - Firaun| وملئه - and his chiefs| بآياتنا - with Our Signs,| فاستكبروا - but they were arrogant| وكانوا - and were| قوما - a people| مجرمين - criminal.| | ||||||
| 12 [11:29] | Waya qawmi la as-alukumAAalayhi malan in ajriya illa AAala Allahiwama ana bitaridi allatheena amanooinnahum mulaqoo rabbihim walakinnee arakumqawman tajhaloona | ويا قوم لا أسألكم عليه مالا إن أجري إلا على الله وما أنا بطارد الذين آمنوا إنهم ملاقو ربهم ولكني أراكم قوما تجهلون وَيَا قَوْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالاً إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى اللّهِ وَمَآ أَنَاْ بِطَارِدِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِنَّهُم مُّلاَقُواْ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَـكِنِّيَ أَرَاكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ويا - And O| قوم - And O my people!| لا - not| أسألكم - I ask (of) you| عليه - for it| مالا - any wealth.| إن - Not| أجري - (is) my reward| إلا - except| على - from| الله - Allah.| وما - And not| أنا - I am| بطارد - going to drive away| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed.| إنهم - Indeed, they| ملاقو - (will) be meeting| ربهم - their Lord,| ولكني - but I| أراكم - see you| قوما - (are) a people| تجهلون - ignorant.| | ||||||
| 13 [11:57] | Fa-in tawallaw faqad ablaghtukum maorsiltu bihi ilaykum wayastakhlifu rabbee qawman ghayrakum walatadurroonahu shay-an inna rabbee AAala kullishay-in hafeethun | فإن تولوا فقد أبلغتكم ما أرسلت به إليكم ويستخلف ربي قوما غيركم ولا تضرونه شيئا إن ربي على كل شيء حفيظ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُم مَّا أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّي قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلاَ تَضُرُّونَهُ شَيْئًا إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظٌ | |||||
| Words | |فإن - So if| تولوا - you turn away,| فقد - then verily| أبلغتكم - I have conveyed to you| ما - what| أرسلت - I was sent| به - with [it]| إليكم - to you.| ويستخلف - And my Lord will give succession| ربي - And my Lord will give succession| قوما - (to) a people| غيركم - other than you,| ولا - and not| تضرونه - you will harm Him| شيئا - (in) anything.| إن - Indeed,| ربي - my Lord| على - (is) on| كل - all| شيء - things| حفيظ - a Guardian."| | ||||||
| 14 [12:9] | Oqtuloo yoosufa awi itrahoohuardan yakhlu lakum wajhu abeekum watakoonoo min baAAdihiqawman saliheena | اقتلوا يوسف أو اطرحوه أرضا يخل لكم وجه أبيكم وتكونوا من بعده قوما صالحين اقْتُلُواْ يُوسُفَ أَوِاطْرَحُوهُ أَرْضًا يَخْلُ لَكُمْ وَجْهُ أَبِيكُمْ وَتَكُونُواْ مِن بَعْدِهِ قَوْمًا صَالِحِينَ | |||||

| 15 [18:86] | Hatta itha balaghamaghriba alshshamsi wajadaha taghrubu fee AAaynin hami-atinwawajada AAindaha qawman qulna ya thaalqarnayni imma an tuAAaththiba wa-imma antattakhitha feehim husnan | حتى إذا بلغ مغرب الشمس وجدها تغرب في عين حمئة ووجد عندها قوما قلنا يا ذا القرنين إما أن تعذب وإما أن تتخذ فيهم حسنا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِي عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًا قُلْنَا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّا أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّا أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا | |||||

| 16 [18:93] | Hatta itha balaghabayna alssaddayni wajada min doonihima qawman layakadoona yafqahoona qawlan | حتى إذا بلغ بين السدين وجد من دونهما قوما لا يكادون يفقهون قولا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ السَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لاَّ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلاً | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until,| إذا - when| بلغ - he reached| بين - between| السدين - the two mountains,| وجد - he found| من - besides them| دونهما - besides them| قوما - a community,| لا - not| يكادون - who would almost| يفقهون - understand| قولا - (his) speech.| | ||||||
| 17 [19:97] | Fa-innama yassarnahu bilisanikalitubashshira bihi almuttaqeena watunthira bihi qawmanluddan | فإنما يسرناه بلسانك لتبشر به المتقين وتنذر به قوما لدا فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِ قَوْمًا لُّدًّا | |||||
| Words | |فإنما - So, only| يسرناه - We (have) made it easy| بلسانك - in your tongue,| لتبشر - that you may give glad tidings| به - with it| المتقين - (to) the righteous| وتنذر - and warn| به - with it| قوما - a people| لدا - hostile.| | ||||||
| 18 [21:11] | Wakam qasamna min qaryatin kanatthalimatan waansha/na baAAdahaqawman akhareena | وكم قصمنا من قرية كانت ظالمة وأنشأنا بعدها قوما آخرين وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| قصمنا - We (have) shattered| من - of| قرية - a town| كانت - (that) was| ظالمة - unjust,| وأنشأنا - and We produced| بعدها - after them| قوما - another people.| آخرين - another people.| | ||||||
| 19 [23:46] | Ila firAAawna wamala-ihi faistakbaroowakanoo qawman AAaleena | إلى فرعون وملئه فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما عالين إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلاَئِهِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا عَالِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إلى - To| فرعون - Firaun| وملئه - and his chiefs,| فاستكبروا - but they behaved arrogantly| وكانوا - and they were| قوما - a people| عالين - haughty.| | ||||||
| 20 [23:106] | Qaloo rabbana ghalabatAAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena | قالوا ربنا غلبت علينا شقوتنا وكنا قوما ضالين قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ | |||||
