| 1 [2:59] | Fabaddala allatheena thalamooqawlan ghayra allathee qeela lahum faanzalna AAalaallatheena thalamoo rijzan mina alssama-ibima kanoo yafsuqoona |  فبدل الذين ظلموا قولا غير الذي قيل لهم فأنزلنا على الذين ظلموا رجزا من السماء بما كانوا يفسقونفَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ قَوْلاً غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَنْـزَلْنَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ رِجْزاً مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْسُقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فبدل - But changed| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged| قولا - (the) word| غير - other (than)| الذي - (that) which| قيل - was said| لهم - to them;| فأنزلنا - so We sent down| على - upon| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged,| رجزا - a punishment| من - from| السماء - the sky| بما - because| كانوا - they were| يفسقون - defiantly disobeying.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:235] | Wala junaha AAalaykum feemaAAarradtum bihi min khitbati alnnisa-iaw aknantum fee anfusikum AAalima Allahu annakum satathkuroonahunnawalakin la tuwaAAidoohunna sirran illaan taqooloo qawlan maAAroofan wala taAAzimoo AAuqdata alnnikahihatta yablugha alkitabu ajalahu waiAAlamooanna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee anfusikum faihtharoohuwaiAAlamoo anna Allaha ghafoorun haleemun | ولا جناح عليكم فيما عرضتم به من خطبة النساء أو أكننتم في أنفسكم علم الله أنكم ستذكرونهن ولكن لا تواعدوهن سرا إلا أن تقولوا قولا معروفا ولا تعزموا عقدة النكاح حتى يبلغ الكتاب أجله واعلموا أن الله يعلم ما في أنفسكم فاحذروه واعلموا أن الله غفور حليم وَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا عَرَّضْتُم بِهِ مِنْ خِطْبَةِ النِّسَاءِ أَوْ أَكْنَنتُمْ فِي أَنفُسِكُمْ عَلِمَ اللّهُ أَنَّكُمْ سَتَذْكُرُونَهُنَّ وَلَـكِن لاَّ تُوَاعِدُوهُنَّ سِرًّا إِلاَّ أَن تَقُولُواْ قَوْلاً مَّعْرُوفًا وَلاَ تَعْزِمُواْ عُقْدَةَ النِّكَاحِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكِتَابُ أَجَلَهُ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي أَنفُسِكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (there is) no| جناح - blame| عليكم - upon you| فيما - in what| عرضتم - you hint| به - [with it]| من - of| خطبة - marriage proposal| النساء - [to] the women| أو - or| أكننتم - you conceal it| في - in| أنفسكم - yourselves.| علم - Knows| الله - Allah| أنكم - that you| ستذكرونهن - will mention them,| ولكن - [and] but| لا - (do) not| تواعدوهن - promise them (widows)| سرا - secretly| إلا - except| أن - that| تقولوا - you say| قولا - a saying| معروفا - honorable.| ولا - And (do) not| تعزموا - resolve (on)| عقدة - the knot| النكاح - (of) marriage| حتى - until| يبلغ - reaches| الكتاب - the prescribed term| أجله - its end.| واعلموا - And know| أن - that| الله - Allah| يعلم - knows| ما - what| في - (is) within| أنفسكم - yourselves| فاحذروه - so beware of Him.| واعلموا - And know| أن - that| الله - Allah| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| حليم - Most Forbearing.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:5] | Wala tu/too alssufahaaamwalakumu allatee jaAAala Allahu lakum qiyamanwaorzuqoohum feeha waoksoohum waqooloo lahumqawlan maAAroofan | ولا تؤتوا السفهاء أموالكم التي جعل الله لكم قياما وارزقوهم فيها واكسوهم وقولوا لهم قولا معروفا وَلاَ تُؤْتُواْ السُّفَهَاءَ أَمْوَالَكُمُ الَّتِي جَعَلَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ قِيَاماً وَارْزُقُوهُمْ فِيهَا وَاكْسُوهُمْ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمْ قَوْلاً مَّعْرُوفًا | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تؤتوا - give| السفهاء - the foolish| أموالكم - your wealth| التي - which| جعل - (was) made| الله - (by) Allah| لكم - for you| قياما - a means of support| وارزقوهم - (but) provide (for) them| فيها - with it| واكسوهم - and clothe them| وقولوا - and speak| لهم - to them| قولا - words| معروفا - (of) kindness.| | ||||||
| 4 [4:8] | Wa-itha hadara alqismataoloo alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeenufaorzuqoohum minhu waqooloo lahum qawlan maAAroofan | وإذا حضر القسمة أولو القربى واليتامى والمساكين فارزقوهم منه وقولوا لهم قولا معروفا وَإِذَا حَضَرَ الْقِسْمَةَ أُوْلُواْ الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُم مِّنْهُ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمْ قَوْلاً مَّعْرُوفًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| حضر - present| القسمة - (at) the (time of) division| أولو - (of)| القربى - the relatives| واليتامى - and the orphans| والمساكين - and the poor,| فارزقوهم - then provide them| منه - from it| وقولوا - and speak| لهم - to them| قولا - words| معروفا - (of) kindness.| | ||||||
| 5 [4:9] | Walyakhsha allatheena law tarakoo minkhalfihim thurriyyatan diAAafan khafooAAalayhim falyattaqoo Allaha walyaqooloo qawlan sadeedan | وليخش الذين لو تركوا من خلفهم ذرية ضعافا خافوا عليهم فليتقوا الله وليقولوا قولا سديدا وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُواْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَافًا خَافُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللّهَ وَلْيَقُولُواْ قَوْلاً سَدِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |وليخش - And let fear -| الذين - those who,| لو - if| تركوا - they left| من - from| خلفهم - behind| ذرية - offspring| ضعافا - weak| خافوا - (and) they would have feared| عليهم - about them.| فليتقوا - So let them fear| الله - Allah| وليقولوا - and let them speak| قولا - words| سديدا - appropriate.| | ||||||
| 6 [4:63] | Ola-ika allatheena yaAAlamuAllahu ma fee quloobihim faaAArid AAanhumwaAAithhum waqul lahum fee anfusihim qawlan baleeghan | أولئك الذين يعلم الله ما في قلوبهم فأعرض عنهم وعظهم وقل لهم في أنفسهم قولا بليغا أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُ اللّهُ مَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَعِظْهُمْ وَقُل لَّهُمْ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ قَوْلاً بَلِيغًا | |||||
| Words | |أولئك - Those| الذين - (are) the ones who -| يعلم - knows| الله - Allah| ما - what| في - (is) in| قلوبهم - their hearts,| فأعرض - so turn away| عنهم - from them| وعظهم - and admonish them,| وقل - and say| لهم - to them| في - concerning| أنفسهم - their souls| قولا - a word| بليغا - penetrating.| | ||||||
| 7 [7:162] | Fabaddala allatheena thalamoominhum qawlan ghayra allathee qeela lahum faarsalnaAAalayhim rijzan mina alssama-i bima kanooyathlimoona | فبدل الذين ظلموا منهم قولا غير الذي قيل لهم فأرسلنا عليهم رجزا من السماء بما كانوا يظلمون فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنْهُمْ قَوْلاً غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِجْزًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فبدل - But changed| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged| منهم - among them| قولا - word| غير - other than| الذي - (that) which| قيل - was said| لهم - to them.| فأرسلنا - So We sent| عليهم - upon them| رجزا - torment| من - from| السماء - the sky| بما - because| كانوا - they were| يظلمون - doing wrong.| | ||||||
| 8 [17:23] | Waqada rabbuka alla taAAbudooilla iyyahu wabialwalidayni ihsananimma yablughanna AAindaka alkibara ahaduhumaaw kilahuma fala taqul lahuma offinwala tanharhuma waqul lahuma qawlan kareeman | وقضى ربك ألا تعبدوا إلا إياه وبالوالدين إحسانا إما يبلغن عندك الكبر أحدهما أو كلاهما فلا تقل لهما أف ولا تنهرهما وقل لهما قولا كريما وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلاَهُمَا فَلاَ تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّ وَلاَ تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلاً كَرِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وقضى - And has decreed| ربك - your Lord,| ألا - that (do) not| تعبدوا - worship| إلا - except| إياه - Him Alone| وبالوالدين - and to the parents| إحسانا - (be) good.| إما - Whether| يبلغن - reach| عندك - with you| الكبر - the old age| أحدهما - one of them,| أو - or| كلاهما - both of them,| فلا - then (do) not| تقل - say| لهما - to both of them| أف - a word of disrespect| ولا - and (do) not| تنهرهما - repel them,| وقل - but speak| لهما - to them| قولا - a word| كريما - noble.| | ||||||
| 9 [17:28] | Wa-imma tuAAridanna AAanhumuibtighaa rahmatin min rabbika tarjooha faqullahum qawlan maysooran | وإما تعرضن عنهم ابتغاء رحمة من ربك ترجوها فقل لهم قولا ميسورا وَإِمَّا تُعْرِضَنَّ عَنْهُمُ ابْتِغَاءَ رَحْمَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكَ تَرْجُوهَا فَقُل لَّهُمْ قَوْلاً مَّيْسُورًا | |||||
| Words | |وإما - And if| تعرضن - you turn away| عنهم - from them| ابتغاء - seeking| رحمة - mercy| من - from| ربك - your Lord,| ترجوها - which you expect| فقل - then say| لهم - to them| قولا - a word| ميسورا - gentle.| | ||||||
| 10 [17:40] | Afaasfakum rabbukum bialbaneenawaittakhatha mina almala-ikati inathaninnakum lataqooloona qawlan AAatheeman | أفأصفاكم ربكم بالبنين واتخذ من الملائكة إناثا إنكم لتقولون قولا عظيما أَفَأَصْفَاكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِالْبَنِينَ وَاتَّخَذَ مِنَ الْمَلَآئِكَةِ إِنَاثًا إِنَّكُمْ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوْلاً عَظِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |أفأصفاكم - Then has your Lord chosen (for) you| ربكم - Then has your Lord chosen (for) you| بالبنين - sons| واتخذ - and He has taken| من - from| الملائكة - the Angels| إناثا - daughters?| إنكم - Indeed, you| لتقولون - surely say| قولا - a word| عظيما - grave.| | ||||||
| 11 [18:93] | Hatta itha balaghabayna alssaddayni wajada min doonihima qawman layakadoona yafqahoona qawlan | حتى إذا بلغ بين السدين وجد من دونهما قوما لا يكادون يفقهون قولا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ السَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لاَّ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلاً | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until,| إذا - when| بلغ - he reached| بين - between| السدين - the two mountains,| وجد - he found| من - besides them| دونهما - besides them| قوما - a community,| لا - not| يكادون - who would almost| يفقهون - understand| قولا - (his) speech.| | ||||||
| 12 [20:44] | Faqoola lahu qawlan layyinanlaAAallahu yatathakkaru aw yakhsha | فقولا له قولا لينا لعله يتذكر أو يخشى فَقُولَا لَهُ قَوْلًا لَّيِّنًا لَّعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَى | |||||
| Words | |فقولا - And speak| له - to him| قولا - a word| لينا - gentle,| لعله - perhaps he| يتذكر - may take heed| أو - or| يخشى - fear."| | ||||||
| 13 [20:89] | Afala yarawna alla yarjiAAuilayhim qawlan wala yamliku lahum darran walanafAAan | أفلا يرون ألا يرجع إليهم قولا ولا يملك لهم ضرا ولا نفعا أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَلَّا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا | |||||
| Words | |أفلا - Then, did not| يرون - they see| ألا - that not| يرجع - it (could) return| إليهم - to them| قولا - a word| ولا - and not| يملك - possess| لهم - for them| ضرا - any harm| ولا - and not| نفعا - any benefit?| | ||||||
| 14 [20:109] | Yawma-ithin la tanfaAAu alshshafaAAatuilla man athina lahu alrrahmanuwaradiya lahu qawlan | يومئذ لا تنفع الشفاعة إلا من أذن له الرحمن ورضي له قولا يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا تَنفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ وَرَضِيَ لَهُ قَوْلًا | |||||
| Words | |يومئذ - (On) that Day| لا - not| تنفع - will benefit| الشفاعة - the intercession| إلا - except| من - (to) whom| أذن - has given permission| له - [to him]| الرحمن - the Most Gracious,| ورضي - and He has accepted| له - for him| قولا - a word.| | ||||||
| 15 [33:32] | Ya nisaa alnnabiyyilastunna kaahadin mina alnnisa-i iniittaqaytunna fala takhdaAAna bialqawli fayatmaAAaallathee fee qalbihi maradun waqulna qawlanmaAAroofan | يا نساء النبي لستن كأحد من النساء إن اتقيتن فلا تخضعن بالقول فيطمع الذي في قلبه مرض وقلن قولا معروفا يَا نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِّنَ النِّسَاءِ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| نساء - O wives| النبي - (of) the Prophet!| لستن - You are not| كأحد - like anyone| من - among| النساء - the women.| إن - If| اتقيتن - you fear (Allah),| فلا - then (do) not| تخضعن - be soft| بالقول - in speech,| فيطمع - lest should be moved with desire| الذي - he who,| في - in| قلبه - his heart| مرض - (is) a disease,| وقلن - but say| قولا - a word| معروفا - appropriate.| | ||||||
| 16 [33:70] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooittaqoo Allaha waqooloo qawlan sadeedan | يا أيها الذين آمنوا اتقوا الله وقولوا قولا سديدا يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا | |||||
