| 1 [8:60] | WaaAAiddoo lahum ma istataAAtummin quwwatin wamin ribati alkhayli turhiboona bihiAAaduwwa Allahi waAAaduwwakum waakhareena mindoonihim la taAAlamoonahumu Allahu yaAAlamuhum wamatunfiqoo min shay-in fee sabeeli Allahi yuwaffa ilaykumwaantum la tuthlamoona |  وأعدوا لهم ما استطعتم من قوة ومن رباط الخيل ترهبون به عدو الله وعدوكم وآخرين من دونهم لا تعلمونهم الله يعلمهم وما تنفقوا من شيء في سبيل الله يوف إليكم وأنتم لا تظلمونوَأَعِدُّواْ لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ وَمِن رِّبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِ عَدُوَّ اللّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَآخَرِينَ مِن دُونِهِمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ اللّهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِن شَيْءٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تُظْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وأعدوا - And prepare| لهم - for them| ما - whatever| استطعتم - you able (to)| من - of| قوة - force| ومن - and of| رباط - tethered| الخيل - horses| ترهبون - (to) terrify| به - therewith| عدو - (the) enemy| الله - (the) enemy,| وعدوكم - and your enemy| وآخرين - and others| من - from| دونهم - besides them,| لا - not| تعلمونهم - (do) you know them| الله - (but) Allah| يعلمهم - knows them.| وما - And whatever| تنفقوا - you spend| من - from| شيء - (any) thing| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| يوف - it will be fully repaid| إليكم - to you,| وأنتم - and you| لا - (will) not| تظلمون - be wronged.| | ||||||
| 2 [9:69] | Kaallatheena min qablikum kanooashadda minkum quwwatan waakthara amwalan waawladanfaistamtaAAoo bikhalaqihim faistamtaAAtumbikhalaqikum kama istamtaAAa allatheena minqablikum bikhalaqihim wakhudtum kaallatheekhadoo ola-ika habitat aAAmaluhumfee alddunya waal-akhirati waola-ikahumu alkhasiroona | كالذين من قبلكم كانوا أشد منكم قوة وأكثر أموالا وأولادا فاستمتعوا بخلاقهم فاستمتعتم بخلاقكم كما استمتع الذين من قبلكم بخلاقهم وخضتم كالذي خاضوا أولئك حبطت أعمالهم في الدنيا والآخرة وأولئك هم الخاسرون كَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُواْ أَشَدَّ مِنكُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرَ أَمْوَالاً وَأَوْلاَدًا فَاسْتَمْتَعُواْ بِخَلاَقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِخَلاَقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ بِخَلاَقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِي خَاضُواْ أُوْلَـئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |كالذين - Like those| من - before you| قبلكم - before you| كانوا - they were| أشد - mightier| منكم - than you| قوة - (in) strength,| وأكثر - and more abundant| أموالا - (in) wealth| وأولادا - and children.| فاستمتعوا - So they enjoyed| بخلاقهم - their portion,| فاستمتعتم - and you have enjoyed| بخلاقكم - your portion| كما - like| استمتع - enjoyed| الذين - those| من - before you| قبلكم - before you| بخلاقهم - their portion,| وخضتم - and you indulge| كالذي - like the one who| خاضوا - indulges (in idle talk).| أولئك - Those,| حبطت - worthless,| أعمالهم - (are) their deeds| في - in| الدنيا - the world| والآخرة - and (in) the Hereafter.| وأولئك - And those,| هم - they| الخاسرون - (are) the losers.| | ||||||
| 3 [11:52] | Waya qawmi istaghfiroo rabbakumthumma tooboo ilayhi yursili alssamaa AAalaykummidraran wayazidkum quwwatan ila quwwatikum walatatawallaw mujrimeena | ويا قوم استغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا إليه يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا ويزدكم قوة إلى قوتكم ولا تتولوا مجرمين وَيَا قَوْمِ اسْتَغْفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُواْ إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَى قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلاَ تَتَوَلَّوْاْ مُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ويا - And O| قوم - And O my people!| استغفروا - Ask forgiveness| ربكم - (of) your Lord,| ثم - then| توبوا - turn in repentance| إليه - to Him.| يرسل - He will send| السماء - (from) the sky (rain)| عليكم - upon you| مدرارا - (in) abundance| ويزدكم - and increase you| قوة - (in) strength| إلى - (added) to| قوتكم - your strength.| ولا - And (do) not| تتولوا - turn away| مجرمين - (as) criminals."| | ||||||
| 4 [11:80] | Qala law anna lee bikum quwwatan aw aweeila ruknin shadeedin | قال لو أن لي بكم قوة أو آوي إلى ركن شديد قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| لو - "If| أن - that| لي - I had| بكم - over you| قوة - power| أو - or| آوي - I could take refuge| إلى - in| ركن - a support| شديد - strong."| | ||||||
| 5 [16:92] | Wala takoonoo kaallatee naqadatghazlaha min baAAdi quwwatin ankathan tattakhithoonaaymanakum dakhalan baynakum an takoona ommatun hiya arbamin ommatin innama yablookumu Allahu bihiwalayubayyinanna lakum yawma alqiyamati ma kuntumfeehi takhtalifoona | ولا تكونوا كالتي نقضت غزلها من بعد قوة أنكاثا تتخذون أيمانكم دخلا بينكم أن تكون أمة هي أربى من أمة إنما يبلوكم الله به وليبينن لكم يوم القيامة ما كنتم فيه تختلفون وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّتِي نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَهَا مِن بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنكَاثًا تَتَّخِذُونَ أَيْمَانَكُمْ دَخَلاً بَيْنَكُمْ أَن تَكُونَ أُمَّةٌ هِيَ أَرْبَى مِنْ أُمَّةٍ إِنَّمَا يَبْلُوكُمُ اللّهُ بِهِ وَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّ لَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تكونوا - be| كالتي - like her who| نقضت - untwists| غزلها - her spun yarn| من - after| بعد - after| قوة - strength| أنكاثا - (into) untwisted strands;| تتخذون - you take| أيمانكم - your oaths| دخلا - (as) a deception| بينكم - between you,| أن - because| تكون - is| أمة - a community| هي - [it]| أربى - more numerous| من - than| أمة - (another) community.| إنما - Only,| يبلوكم - Allah tests you| الله - Allah tests you| به - by it.| وليبينن - And He will make clear| لكم - to you| يوم - (on) the Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| ما - what| كنتم - you used (to)| فيه - in it| تختلفون - differ.| | ||||||
| 6 [18:39] | Walawla ith dakhalta jannatakaqulta ma shaa Allahu la quwwata illabiAllahi in tarani ana aqalla minka malanwawaladan | ولولا إذ دخلت جنتك قلت ما شاء الله لا قوة إلا بالله إن ترن أنا أقل منك مالا وولدا وَلَوْلاَ إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ إِن تَرَنِ أَنَا أَقَلَّ مِنكَ مَالاً وَوَلَدًا | |||||
| Words | |ولولا - And why (did you) not,| إذ - when| دخلت - you entered| جنتك - your garden| قلت - say,| ما - "What| شاء - wills| الله - Allah;| لا - (there is) no| قوة - power| إلا - except| بالله - with Allah."| إن - If| ترن - you see me| أنا - (me)| أقل - lesser| منك - than you| مالا - (in) wealth| وولدا - and children,| | ||||||
| 7 [27:33] | Qaloo nahnu oloo quwwatinwaoloo ba/sin shadeedin waal-amru ilayki faonthureematha ta/mureena | قالوا نحن أولو قوة وأولو بأس شديد والأمر إليك فانظري ماذا تأمرين قَالُوا نَحْنُ أُوْلُوا قُوَّةٍ وَأُولُوا بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ وَالْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَانظُرِي مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| نحن - "We| أولو - (are) possessors| قوة - (of) strength| وأولو - and possessors| بأس - (of) might| شديد - great,| والأمر - and the command| إليك - (is) up to you,| فانظري - so look| ماذا - what| تأمرين - you will command."| | ||||||
| 8 [28:78] | Qala innama ooteetuhu AAalaAAilmin AAindee awa lam yaAAlam anna Allaha qad ahlaka minqablihi mina alqurooni man huwa ashaddu minhu quwwatan waaktharujamAAan wala yus-alu AAan thunoobihimu almujrimoona | قال إنما أوتيته على علم عندي أولم يعلم أن الله قد أهلك من قبله من القرون من هو أشد منه قوة وأكثر جمعا ولا يسأل عن ذنوبهم المجرمون قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عِندِي أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَهْلَكَ مِن قَبْلِهِ مِنَ القُرُونِ مَنْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرُ جَمْعًا وَلَا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذُنُوبِهِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| إنما - "Only| أوتيته - I have been given it| على - on (account)| علم - (of) knowledge| عندي - I have."| أولم - Did not| يعلم - he know| أن - that| الله - Allah| قد - indeed| أهلك - destroyed| من - before him| قبله - before him| من - of| القرون - the generations| من - who| هو - [they]| أشد - (were) stronger| منه - than him| قوة - (in) strength| وأكثر - and greater| جمعا - (in) accumulation.| ولا - And not| يسأل - will be questioned| عن - about| ذنوبهم - their sins| المجرمون - the criminals.| | ||||||
| 9 [30:9] | Awa lam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthurookayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihimkanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharoo al-ardawaAAamarooha akthara mimma AAamarooha wajaat-humrusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kana Allahuliyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahumyathlimoona | أولم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم كانوا أشد منهم قوة وأثاروا الأرض وعمروها أكثر مما عمروها وجاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات فما كان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا الْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولم - Have not| يسيروا - they traveled| في - in| الأرض - the earth| فينظروا - and observed| كيف - how| كان - was| عاقبة - (the) end| الذين - (of) those| من - before them?| قبلهم - before them?| كانوا - They were| أشد - mightier| منهم - than them| قوة - (in) strength,| وأثاروا - and they dug| الأرض - the earth| وعمروها - and built (on) it| أكثر - more| مما - than what| عمروها - they have built (on) it.| وجاءتهم - And came (to) them| رسلهم - their Messengers| بالبينات - with clear proofs.| فما - So not| كان - was| الله - Allah| ليظلمهم - to wrong them| ولكن - but| كانوا - they were| أنفسهم - themselves| يظلمون - (doing) wrong.| | ||||||
| 10 [30:54] | Allahu allathee khalaqakum mindaAAfin thumma jaAAala min baAAdi daAAfin quwwatanthumma jaAAala min baAAdi quwwatin daAAfan washaybatanyakhluqu ma yashao wahuwa alAAaleemu alqadeeru | الله الذي خلقكم من ضعف ثم جعل من بعد ضعف قوة ثم جعل من بعد قوة ضعفا وشيبة يخلق ما يشاء وهو العليم القدير اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعْفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍ قُوَّةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ ضَعْفًا وَشَيْبَةً يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْقَدِيرُ | |||||

| 11 [35:44] | Awa lam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthurookayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihimwakanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan wama kanaAllahu liyuAAjizahu min shay-in fee alssamawatiwala fee al-ardi innahu kana AAaleemanqadeeran | أولم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم وكانوا أشد منهم قوة وما كان الله ليعجزه من شيء في السماوات ولا في الأرض إنه كان عليما قديرا أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُ مِن شَيْءٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلِيمًا قَدِيرًا | |||||

| 13 [40:82] | Afalam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthurookayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihimkanoo akthara minhum waashadda quwwatan waatharanfee al-ardi fama aghna AAanhum ma kanooyaksiboona | أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم كانوا أكثر منهم وأشد قوة وآثارا في الأرض فما أغنى عنهم ما كانوا يكسبون أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ | |||||

| 14 [41:15] | Faamma AAadun faistakbaroofee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi waqaloo manashaddu minna quwwatan awa lam yaraw anna Allahaallathee khalaqahum huwa ashaddu minhum quwwatan wakanoobi-ayatina yajhadoona | فأما عاد فاستكبروا في الأرض بغير الحق وقالوا من أشد منا قوة أولم يروا أن الله الذي خلقهم هو أشد منهم قوة وكانوا بآياتنا يجحدون فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - Then as for| عاد - Aad,| فاستكبروا - they were arrogant| في - in| الأرض - the land| بغير - without| الحق - [the] right| وقالوا - and they said,| من - "Who| أشد - (is) mightier| منا - than us| قوة - (in) strength?"| أولم - Do not| يروا - they see| أن - that| الله - Allah,| الذي - the One Who| خلقهم - created them,| هو - He| أشد - (is) Mightier| منهم - than them| قوة - (in) strength?| وكانوا - But they used to,| بآياتنا - in Our Signs,| يجحدون - deny.| | ||||||
| 15 [47:13] | Wakaayyin min qaryatin hiya ashaddu quwwatanmin qaryatika allatee akhrajatka ahlaknahum fala nasiralahum | وكأين من قرية هي أشد قوة من قريتك التي أخرجتك أهلكناهم فلا ناصر لهم وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ هِيَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةً مِّن قَرْيَتِكَ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَتْكَ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمْ | |||||
