| 1 [2:88] | Waqaloo quloobuna ghulfun ballaAAanahumu Allahu bikufrihim faqaleelan mayu/minoona |  وقالوا قلوبنا غلف بل لعنهم الله بكفرهم فقليلا ما يؤمنونوَقَالُواْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌ بَلْ لَّعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَقَلِيْلاً مَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they said,| قلوبنا - "Our hearts| غلف - (are) wrapped."| بل - Nay,| لعنهم - has cursed them| الله - Allah| بكفرهم - for their disbelief;| فقليلا - so little| ما - (is) what| يؤمنون - they believe.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:8] | Rabbana la tuzigh quloobanabaAAda ith hadaytana wahab lana min ladunkarahmatan innaka anta alwahhabu | ربنا لا تزغ قلوبنا بعد إذ هديتنا وهب لنا من لدنك رحمة إنك أنت الوهاب رَبَّنَا لاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ | |||||
| Words | |ربنا - "Our Lord!| لا - (Do) not| تزغ - deviate| قلوبنا - our hearts| بعد - after| إذ - [when]| هديتنا - You (have) guided us,| وهب - and grant| لنا - (for) us| من - from| لدنك - Yourself| رحمة - mercy.| إنك - Indeed You,| أنت - You| الوهاب - (are) the Bestower.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:155] | Fabima naqdihim meethaqahumwakufrihim bi-ayati Allahi waqatlihimual-anbiyaa bighayri haqqin waqawlihim quloobunaghulfun bal tabaAAa Allahu AAalayhabikufrihim fala yu/minoona illa qaleelan | فبما نقضهم ميثاقهم وكفرهم بآيات الله وقتلهم الأنبياء بغير حق وقولهم قلوبنا غلف بل طبع الله عليها بكفرهم فلا يؤمنون إلا قليلا فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِم بَآيَاتِ اللّهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌ بَلْ طَبَعَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |فبما - Then because of| نقضهم - their breaking| ميثاقهم - (of) their covenant| وكفرهم - and their disbelief| بآيات - in (the) Signs| الله - (of) Allah| وقتلهم - and their killing| الأنبياء - (of) the Prophets| بغير - without| حق - any right| وقولهم - and their saying,| قلوبنا - "Our hearts| غلف - (are) wrapped."| بل - Nay,| طبع - (has) set a seal| الله - Allah| عليها - on their (hearts)| بكفرهم - for their disbelief| فلا - so not| يؤمنون - they believe| إلا - except| قليلا - a few.| | ||||||
| 4 [5:113] | Qaloo nureedu an na/kula minhawatatma-inna quloobuna wanaAAlama an qad sadaqtanawanakoona AAalayha mina alshshahideena | قالوا نريد أن نأكل منها وتطمئن قلوبنا ونعلم أن قد صدقتنا ونكون عليها من الشاهدين قَالُواْ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| نريد - "We wish| أن - that| نأكل - we eat| منها - from it| وتطمئن - and satisfy| قلوبنا - our hearts| ونعلم - and we know| أن - that| قد - certainly| صدقتنا - you have spoken the truth to us| ونكون - and we be| عليها - over it| من - among| الشاهدين - the witnesses.| | ||||||
| 5 [41:5] | Waqaloo quloobuna fee akinnatinmimma tadAAoona ilayhi wafee athaninawaqrun wamin baynina wabaynika hijabun faiAAmalinnana AAamiloona | وقالوا قلوبنا في أكنة مما تدعونا إليه وفي آذاننا وقر ومن بيننا وبينك حجاب فاعمل إننا عاملون وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِن بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| قلوبنا - "Our hearts| في - (are) in| أكنة - coverings| مما - from what| تدعونا - you call us| إليه - to it,| وفي - and in| آذاننا - our ears| وقر - (is) deafness,| ومن - and between us| بيننا - and between us| وبينك - and between you| حجاب - (is) a screen.| فاعمل - So work,| إننا - indeed, we| عاملون - (are) working."| | ||||||
| 6 [59:10] | Waallatheena jaoo minbaAAdihim yaqooloona rabbana ighfir lana wali-ikhwaninaallatheena sabaqoona bial-eemani walatajAAal fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanoorabbana innaka raoofun raheemun | والذين جاءوا من بعدهم يقولون ربنا اغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان ولا تجعل في قلوبنا غلا للذين آمنوا ربنا إنك رءوف رحيم وَالَّذِينَ جَاؤُوا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيْمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| جاءوا - came| من - from| بعدهم - after them| يقولون - they say,| ربنا - "Our Lord,| اغفر - forgive| لنا - us| ولإخواننا - and our brothers| الذين - who| سبقونا - preceded us| بالإيمان - in faith,| ولا - and (do) not| تجعل - put| في - in| قلوبنا - our hearts| غلا - any rancor| للذين - towards those who| آمنوا - believed.| ربنا - Our Lord,| إنك - indeed You| رءوف - (are) Full of Kindness,| رحيم - Most Merciful."| | ||||||
