| 1 [11:65] | FaAAaqarooha faqalatamattaAAoo fee darikum thalathata ayyamin thalikawaAAdun ghayru makthoobin |  فعقروها فقال تمتعوا في داركم ثلاثة أيام ذلك وعد غير مكذوبفَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُواْ فِي دَارِكُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ذَلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍ | |||||
| Words | |فعقروها - But they hamstrung her.| فقال - So he said,| تمتعوا - "Enjoy (yourselves)| في - in| داركم - your home(s)| ثلاثة - (for) three| أيام - days.| ذلك - That| وعد - (is) a promise| غير - not| مكذوب - (to) be belied."| | ||||||
| 2 [26:157] | FaAAaqarooha faasbahoonadimeena | فعقروها فأصبحوا نادمين فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فعقروها - But they hamstrung her,| فأصبحوا - then they became| نادمين - regretful.| | ||||||
| 3 [91:14] | Fakaththaboohu faAAaqaroohafadamdama AAalayhim rabbuhum bithanbihim fasawwaha | فكذبوه فعقروها فدمدم عليهم ربهم بذنبهم فسواها فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا | |||||
| Words | |فكذبوه - But they denied him,| فعقروها - and they hamstrung her.| فدمدم - So destroyed| عليهم - them| ربهم - their Lord| بذنبهم - for their sin| فسواها - and leveled them.| | ||||||
