| 1 [19:39] | Waanthirhum yawma alhasrati ithqudiya al-amru wahum fee ghaflatin wahum layu/minoona |  وأنذرهم يوم الحسرة إذ قضي الأمر وهم في غفلة وهم لا يؤمنونوَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وأنذرهم - And warn them| يوم - (of the) Day| الحسرة - (of) the Regret,| إذ - when| قضي - has been decided| الأمر - the matter.| وهم - And they| في - (are) in| غفلة - heedlessness,| وهم - and they| لا - (do) not| يؤمنون - believe.| | ||||||
| 2 [21:1] | Iqtaraba lilnnasi hisabuhumwahum fee ghaflatin muAAridoona | اقترب للناس حسابهم وهم في غفلة معرضون اقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ | |||||
| Words | |اقترب - (Has) approached| للناس - for [the] mankind| حسابهم - their account,| وهم - while they| في - (are) in| غفلة - heedlessness| معرضون - turning away.| | ||||||
| 3 [21:97] | Waiqtaraba alwaAAdu alhaqqufa-itha hiya shakhisatun absaru allatheenakafaroo ya waylana qad kunna fee ghaflatinmin hatha bal kunna thalimeena | واقترب الوعد الحق فإذا هي شاخصة أبصار الذين كفروا يا ويلنا قد كنا في غفلة من هذا بل كنا ظالمين وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ أَبْصَارُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |واقترب - And has approached| الوعد - the promise| الحق - [the] true| فإذا - then behold,| هي - [it]| شاخصة - (are) staring| أبصار - (the) eyes| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieved,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| قد - Verily,| كنا - we had been| في - in| غفلة - heedlessness| من - of| هذا - this;| بل - nay,| كنا - we were| ظالمين - wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 4 [28:15] | Wadakhala almadeenata AAala heenighaflatin min ahliha fawajada feeha rajulayniyaqtatilani hatha min sheeAAatihi wahathamin AAaduwwihi faistaghathahu allathee minsheeAAatihi AAala allathee min AAaduwwihifawakazahu moosa faqada AAalayhi qala hathamin AAamali alshshaytani innahu AAaduwwun mudillunmubeenun | ودخل المدينة على حين غفلة من أهلها فوجد فيها رجلين يقتتلان هذا من شيعته وهذا من عدوه فاستغاثه الذي من شيعته على الذي من عدوه فوكزه موسى فقضى عليه قال هذا من عمل الشيطان إنه عدو مضل مبين وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَى حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِ وَهَذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِن شِيعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَوَكَزَهُ مُوسَى فَقَضَى عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هَذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلٌّ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Words | |ودخل - And he entered| المدينة - the city| على - at| حين - a time| غفلة - (of) inattention| من - of| أهلها - its people| فوجد - and found| فيها - therein| رجلين - two men| يقتتلان - fighting each other;| هذا - this| من - of| شيعته - his party| وهذا - and this| من - of| عدوه - his enemy.| فاستغاثه - And called him for help| الذي - the one who| من - (was) from| شيعته - his party| على - against| الذي - the one who| من - (was) from| عدوه - his enemy,| فوكزه - so Musa struck him with his fist| موسى - so Musa struck him with his fist| فقضى - and killed him.| عليه - and killed him.| قال - He said,| هذا - "This (is)| من - of| عمل - (the) deed| الشيطان - (of) Shaitaan.| إنه - Indeed, he| عدو - (is) an enemy -| مضل - one who misleads| مبين - clearly."| | ||||||
| 5 [50:22] | Laqad kunta fee ghaflatin min hathafakashafna AAanka ghitaaka fabasarukaalyawma hadeedun | لقد كنت في غفلة من هذا فكشفنا عنك غطاءك فبصرك اليوم حديد لَقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ | |||||
| Words | |لقد - "Certainly| كنت - you were| في - in| غفلة - heedlessness| من - of| هذا - this.| فكشفنا - So We have removed| عنك - from you| غطاءك - your cover,| فبصرك - so your sight| اليوم - today| حديد - (is) sharp."| | ||||||
