| 1 [2:186] | Wa-itha saalaka AAibadeeAAannee fa-innee qareebun ojeebu daAAwata alddaAAiitha daAAani falyastajeeboo lee walyu/minoo beelaAAallahum yarshudoona |  وإذا سألك عبادي عني فإني قريب أجيب دعوة الداع إذا دعان فليستجيبوا لي وليؤمنوا بي لعلهم يرشدونوَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُواْ لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُواْ بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| سألك - ask you| عبادي - My servants| عني - about Me,| فإني - then indeed I am| قريب - near.| أجيب - I respond| دعوة - (to the) invocation| الداع - (of) the supplicant| إذا - when| دعان - he calls Me.| فليستجيبوا - So let them respond| لي - to Me| وليؤمنوا - and let them believe| بي - in Me,| لعلهم - so that they may| يرشدون - (be) led aright.| | ||||||
| 2 [11:10] | Wala-in athaqnahu naAAmaabaAAda darraa massat-hu layaqoolanna thahabaalssayyi-atu AAannee innahu lafarihunfakhoorun | ولئن أذقناه نعماء بعد ضراء مسته ليقولن ذهب السيئات عني إنه لفرح فخور وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاهُ نَعْمَاءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ السَّيِّئَاتُ عَنِّي إِنَّهُ لَفَرِحٌ فَخُورٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - But if| أذقناه - We give him a taste| نعماء - (of) favor| بعد - after| ضراء - hardship| مسته - (has) touched him,| ليقولن - surely, he will say,| ذهب - "Have gone| السيئات - the evils| عني - from me."| إنه - Indeed, he| لفرح - (is) exultant| فخور - (and) boastful.| | ||||||
| 3 [12:33] | Qala rabbi alssijnu ahabbuilayya mimma yadAAoonanee ilayhi wa-illa tasrifAAannee kaydahunna asbu ilayhinna waakun mina aljahileena | قال رب السجن أحب إلي مما يدعونني إليه وإلا تصرف عني كيدهن أصب إليهن وأكن من الجاهلين قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ وَإِلاَّ تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord,| السجن - the prison| أحب - (is) dearer| إلي - to me| مما - than what| يدعونني - they invite me| إليه - to it.| وإلا - And unless| تصرف - You turn away| عني - from me| كيدهن - their plot| أصب - I might incline| إليهن - towards them| وأكن - and [I] be| من - of| الجاهلين - the ignorant."| | ||||||
| 4 [36:23] | Aattakhithu min doonihi alihatanin yuridni alrrahmanu bidurrin la tughniAAannee shafaAAatuhum shay-an wala yunqithooni | أأتخذ من دونه آلهة إن يردن الرحمن بضر لا تغن عني شفاعتهم شيئا ولا ينقذون أَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَن بِضُرٍّ لاَّ تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يُنقِذُونِ | |||||
| Words | |أأتخذ - Should I take| من - besides Him| دونه - besides Him| آلهة - gods?| إن - If| يردن - intends for me| الرحمن - the Most Gracious| بضر - any harm| لا - not| تغن - will avail| عني - [from] me| شفاعتهم - their intercession| شيئا - (in) anything,| ولا - and not| ينقذون - they (can) save me.| | ||||||
| 5 [69:28] | Ma aghna AAannee maliyah | ما أغنى عني ماليه مَا أَغْنَى عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ | |||||
