| 1 [2:101] | Walamma jaahum rasoolun minAAindi Allahi musaddiqun lima maAAahum nabathafareequn mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba kitabaAllahi waraa thuhoorihim kaannahum layaAAlamoona |  ولما جاءهم رسول من عند الله مصدق لما معهم نبذ فريق من الذين أوتوا الكتاب كتاب الله وراء ظهورهم كأنهم لا يعلمونوَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللّهِ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| جاءهم - came to them| رسول - a Messenger| من - (of)| عند - from| الله - Allah| مصدق - confirming| لما - what| معهم - (was) with them,| نبذ - threw away| فريق - a party| من - of| الذين - those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| كتاب - (the) Book| الله - (of) Allah| وراء - behind| ظهورهم - their backs| كأنهم - as if they| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:187] | Wa-ith akhatha Allahumeethaqa allatheena ootoo alkitabalatubayyinunnahu lilnnasi wala taktumoonahufanabathoohu waraa thuhoorihim waishtarawbihi thamanan qaleelan fabi/sa ma yashtaroona | وإذ أخذ الله ميثاق الذين أوتوا الكتاب لتبيننه للناس ولا تكتمونه فنبذوه وراء ظهورهم واشتروا به ثمنا قليلا فبئس ما يشترون وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُونَهُ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذ - took| الله - Allah| ميثاق - a Covenant| الذين - (from) those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book,| لتبيننه - "You certainly make it clear| للناس - to the mankind| ولا - and (do) not| تكتمونه - conceal it.| فنبذوه - Then they threw it| وراء - behind| ظهورهم - their backs| واشتروا - and they exchanged| به - [with] it| ثمنا - (for) a price| قليلا - little.| فبئس - And wretched| ما - (is) what| يشترون - they purchase.| | ||||||
| 3 [6:31] | Qad khasira allatheena kaththaboobiliqa-i Allahi hatta itha jaat-humualssaAAatu baghtatan qaloo ya hasratanaAAala ma farratna feeha wahumyahmiloona awzarahum AAala thuhoorihimala saa ma yaziroona | قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقاء الله حتى إذا جاءتهم الساعة بغتة قالوا يا حسرتنا على ما فرطنا فيها وهم يحملون أوزارهم على ظهورهم ألا ساء ما يزرون قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَاءِ اللّهِ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُواْ يَا حَسْرَتَنَا عَلَى مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَى ظُهُورِهِمْ أَلاَ سَاءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قد - Indeed,| خسر - incurred loss| الذين - those who| كذبوا - denied| بلقاء - in (the) meeting| الله - (with) Allah,| حتى - until| إذا - when| جاءتهم - came to them| الساعة - the Hour| بغتة - suddenly| قالوا - they said,| يا - O| حسرتنا - "Oh! Our regret| على - over| ما - what| فرطنا - we neglected| فيها - concerning it,"| وهم - while they| يحملون - will bear| أوزارهم - their burdens| على - on| ظهورهم - their backs.| ألا - Unquestionably!| ساء - Evil| ما - (is) what| يزرون - they bear.| | ||||||
| 4 [7:172] | Wa-ith akhatha rabbuka minbanee adama min thuhoorihim thurriyyatahumwaashhadahum AAala anfusihim alastu birabbikum qaloobala shahidna an taqooloo yawma alqiyamatiinna kunna AAan hatha ghafileena | وإذ أخذ ربك من بني آدم من ظهورهم ذريتهم وأشهدهم على أنفسهم ألست بربكم قالوا بلى شهدنا أن تقولوا يوم القيامة إنا كنا عن هذا غافلين وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِن بَنِي آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُواْ بَلَى شَهِدْنَا أَن تَقُولُواْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَذَا غَافِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذ - (was) taken| ربك - (by) your Lord| من - from| بني - (the) Children| آدم - (of) Adam -| من - from| ظهورهم - their loins -| ذريتهم - their descendants| وأشهدهم - and made them testify| على - over| أنفسهم - themselves,| ألست - "Am I not| بربكم - your Lord?"| قالوا - They said,| بلى - "Yes| شهدنا - we have testified."| أن - Lest| تقولوا - you say| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| إنا - "Indeed,| كنا - we were| عن - about| هذا - this| غافلين - unaware."| | ||||||
| 5 [21:39] | Law yaAAlamu allatheena kafaroo heenala yakuffoona AAan wujoohihimu alnnara walaAAan thuhoorihim wala hum yunsaroona | لو يعلم الذين كفروا حين لا يكفون عن وجوههم النار ولا عن ظهورهم ولا هم ينصرون لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ | |||||
