بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [6:31] | Qad khasira allatheena kaththaboobiliqa-i Allahi hatta itha jaat-humualssaAAatu baghtatan qaloo ya hasratanaAAala ma farratna feeha wahumyahmiloona awzarahum AAala thuhoorihimala saa ma yaziroona
| قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقاء الله حتى إذا جاءتهم الساعة بغتة قالوا يا حسرتنا على ما فرطنا فيها وهم يحملون أوزارهم على ظهورهم ألا ساء ما يزرون قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَاءِ اللّهِ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُواْ يَا حَسْرَتَنَا عَلَى مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَى ظُهُورِهِمْ أَلاَ سَاءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ |
Words | |قد - Indeed,| خسر - incurred loss| الذين - those who| كذبوا - denied| بلقاء - in (the) meeting| الله - (with) Allah,| حتى - until| إذا - when| جاءتهم - came to them| الساعة - the Hour| بغتة - suddenly| قالوا - they said,| يا - O| حسرتنا - "Oh! Our regret| على - over| ما - what| فرطنا - we neglected| فيها - concerning it,"| وهم - while they| يحملون - will bear| أوزارهم - their burdens| على - on| ظهورهم - their backs.| ألا - Unquestionably!| ساء - Evil| ما - (is) what| يزرون - they bear.| |

| እነዚያ በአላህ መገናኘት ያስተባበሉ በእርግጥ ከሰሩ፡፡ ሰዓቲቱም በድንገት በመጣቻቸው ጊዜ እነሱ ኃጢኣቶቻቸውን በጀርባዎቻቸው ላይ የሚሸከሙ ሲኾኑ «በርሷ (በምድረ ዓለም) ባጓደልነው ነገር ላይ ዋ ቁጪታችን» ይላሉ፡፡ ንቁ! የሚሸከሙት ነገር ከፋ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { قد خسر الذين كذَّبوا بلقاء الله } بالبعث { حتى } غاية للتكذيب { إذا جاءتهم الساعة } القيامة { بغتة } فجأة { قالوا يا حسرتنا } هي شدة التألم ونداؤها مجاز أي هذا أوانك فاحضري { على ما فرَّطنا } قصَّرنا { فيها } أي الدنيا { وهم يحملون أوزارهم على ظهورهم } بأن تأتيهم عند البعث في أقبح شيء صورة وأنتنه ريحا فتركبهم { ألا ساء } بئس { ما يزرون } يحملونه حملهم ذلك . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | নিশ্চয় তারা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত, যারা আল্লাহর সাক্ষাৎকে মিথ্যা মনে করেছে। এমনকি, যখন কিয়ামত তাদের কাছে অকস্মাৎ এসে যাবে, তারা বলবেঃ হায় আফসোস, এর ব্যাপারে আমরা কতই না ক্রটি করেছি। তার স্বীয় বোঝা স্বীয় পৃষ্ঠে বহন করবে। শুনে রাখ, তারা যে বোঝা বহন করবে, তা নিকৃষ্টতর বোঝা। |
Literal | Those who denied had lost with God's meeting until when the Hour/Resurrection came to them82suddenly, they said: "Oh, our grief/sorrow on what we neglected/wasted in it." And they are carrying their sins on their backs, is it not evil/harmful what they carry/bear? |
Yusuf Ali | Lost indeed are they who treat it as a falsehood that they must meet Allah,- until on a sudden the hour is on them, and they say: "Ah! woe unto us that we took no thought of it"; for they bear their burdens on their backs, and evil indeed are the burdens that they bear? |
Pickthal | They indeed are losers who deny their meeting with Allah until, when the Hour cometh on them suddenly, they cry: Alas for us, that we neglected it! They bear upon their backs their burdens. Ah, evil is that which they bear! |

Sarwar | Those who do not believe in the Day of Judgment have incurred upon themselves a great loss. When the Day of Judgment suddenly comes upon them, they will sink under the burden of their sins in grief for their neglecting that day. Terrible indeed will be their burden! |

Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | جن لوگوں نے خدا کے روبرو حاضر ہونے کو جھوٹ سمجھا وہ گھاٹے میں آگئے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب ان پر قیامت ناگہاں آموجود ہوگی تو بول اٹھیں گے کہ (ہائے) اس تقصیر پر افسوس ہے جو ہم نے قیامت کے بارے میں کی۔ اور وہ اپنے (اعمال کے) بوجھ اپنی پیٹھوں پر اٹھائے ہوئے ہوں گے۔ دیکھو جو بوجھ یہ اٹھا رہے ہیں بہت برا ہے |

Abul Ala Maududi | نقصان میں پڑ گئے وہ لوگ جنہوں نے اللہ سے اپنی ملاقات کی اطلاع کو جھوٹ قرار دیا جب اچانک وہ گھڑی آ جائے گی تو یہی لوگ کہیں گے "افسوس! ہم سے اس معاملہ میں کیسی تقصیر ہوئی" اور اِن کا حال یہ ہوگا کہ اپنی پیٹھوں پر اپنے گناہوں کا بوجھ لادے ہوئے ہوں گے دیکھو! کیسا برا بوجھ ہے جو یہ اٹھا رہے ہیں |
