| 1 [3:154] | Thumma anzala AAalaykum min baAAdi alghammiamanatan nuAAasan yaghsha ta-ifatan minkumwata-ifatun qad ahammat-hum anfusuhum yathunnoonabiAllahi ghayra alhaqqi thannaaljahiliyyati yaqooloona hal lana mina al-amri minshay-in qul inna al-amra kullahu lillahi yukhfoona feeanfusihim ma la yubdoona laka yaqooloona law kanalana mina al-amri shay-on ma qutilna hahunaqul law kuntum fee buyootikum labaraza allatheena kutibaAAalayhimu alqatlu ila madajiAAihim waliyabtaliyaAllahu ma fee sudoorikum waliyumahhisama fee quloobikum waAllahu AAaleemun bithatialssudoori |  ثم أنزل عليكم من بعد الغم أمنة نعاسا يغشى طائفة منكم وطائفة قد أهمتهم أنفسهم يظنون بالله غير الحق ظن الجاهلية يقولون هل لنا من الأمر من شيء قل إن الأمر كله لله يخفون في أنفسهم ما لا يبدون لك يقولون لو كان لنا من الأمر شيء ما قتلنا هاهنا قل لو كنتم في بيوتكم لبرز الذين كتب عليهم القتل إلى مضاجعهم وليبتلي الله ما في صدوركم وليمحص ما في قلوبكم والله عليم بذات الصدورثُمَّ أَنزَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن بَعْدِ الْغَمِّ أَمَنَةً نُّعَاسًا يَغْشَى طَآئِفَةً مِّنكُمْ وَطَآئِفَةٌ قَدْ أَهَمَّتْهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ يَظُنُّونَ بِاللّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ ظَنَّ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَقُولُونَ هَل لَّنَا مِنَ الْأَمْرِ مِن شَيْءٍ قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَمْرَ كُلَّهُ لِلَّهِ يُخْفُونَ فِي أَنفُسِهِم مَّا لاَ يُبْدُونَ لَكَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ كَانَ لَنَا مِنَ الْأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ مَّا قُتِلْنَا هَاهُنَا قُل لَّوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ الَّذِينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَتْلُ إِلَى مَضَاجِعِهِمْ وَلِيَبْتَلِيَ اللّهُ مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَلِيُمَحِّصَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| أنزل - He sent down| عليكم - upon you| من - from| بعد - after| الغم - the distress| أمنة - security -| نعاسا - slumber| يغشى - overcoming| طائفة - a group| منكم - of you,| وطائفة - while a group| قد - certainly| أهمتهم - worried [them]| أنفسهم - (about) themselves| يظنون - thinking| بالله - about Allah| غير - other than| الحق - the truth -| ظن - (the) thought| الجاهلية - (of) [the] ignorance.| يقولون - saying,| هل - "Is (there)| لنا - for us| من - from| الأمر - the matter| من - any| شيء - thing?"| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed| الأمر - the matter| كله - all (of) it| لله - (is) for Allah."| يخفون - They hide| في - in| أنفسهم - themselves| ما - what| لا - not| يبدون - they reveal| لك - to you,| يقولون - They say,| لو - "If| كان - was| لنا - for us| من - from| الأمر - the matter| شيء - anything| ما - not| قتلنا - we would have been killed| هاهنا - here."| قل - Say,| لو - "If| كنتم - you were| في - in| بيوتكم - your houses,| لبرز - surely (would have) come out| الذين - those who -| كتب - was decreed| عليهم - upon them| القتل - [the] death| إلى - towards| مضاجعهم - their places of death.| وليبتلي - And that might test| الله - Allah| ما - what| في - (is) in| صدوركم - your breasts| وليمحص - and that He may purge| ما - what| في - (is) in| قلوبكم - your hearts.| والله - And Allah| عليم - (is) All-Aware| بذات - of what| الصدور - (is in) the breasts.| | ||||||
| 2 [10:60] | Wama thannu allatheenayaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba yawmaalqiyamati inna Allaha lathoo fadlinAAala alnnasi walakinna aktharahum layashkuroona | وما ظن الذين يفترون على الله الكذب يوم القيامة إن الله لذو فضل على الناس ولكن أكثرهم لا يشكرون وَمَا ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ الْكَذِبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّ اللّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And what| ظن - (will be the) assumption| الذين - (of) those who| يفترون - invent| على - against| الله - Allah| الكذب - the lie| يوم - (on) the Day| القيامة - (of) the Judgment?| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لذو - (is) surely Full (of) Bounty| فضل - (is) surely Full (of) Bounty| على - to| الناس - the mankind,| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (are) not| يشكرون - grateful.| | ||||||
| 3 [12:42] | Waqala lillathee thannaannahu najin minhuma othkurnee AAindarabbika faansahu alshshaytanu thikrarabbihi falabitha fee alssijni bidAAa sineena | وقال للذي ظن أنه ناج منهما اذكرني عند ربك فأنساه الشيطان ذكر ربه فلبث في السجن بضع سنين وَقَالَ لِلَّذِي ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ نَاجٍ مِّنْهُمَا اذْكُرْنِي عِندَ رَبِّكَ فَأَنسَاهُ الشَّيْطَانُ ذِكْرَ رَبِّهِ فَلَبِثَ فِي السِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And he said| للذي - to the one whom| ظن - he thought| أنه - that he| ناج - (would be) saved| منهما - of both of them,| اذكرني - "Mention me| عند - to| ربك - your master."| فأنساه - But made him forget| الشيطان - the Shaitaan| ذكر - (the) mention| ربه - (to) his master,| فلبث - so he remained| في - in| السجن - the prison| بضع - several| سنين - years.| | ||||||
| 4 [24:12] | Lawla ith samiAAtumoohu thannaalmu/minoona waalmu/minatu bi-anfusihim khayran waqaloohatha ifkun mubeenun | لولا إذ سمعتموه ظن المؤمنون والمؤمنات بأنفسهم خيرا وقالوا هذا إفك مبين لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا هَذَا إِفْكٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Words | |لولا - Why not,| إذ - when| سمعتموه - you heard it,| ظن - think| المؤمنون - the believing men| والمؤمنات - and the believing women| بأنفسهم - good of themselves| خيرا - good of themselves| وقالوا - and say,| هذا - "This| إفك - (is) a lie| مبين - clear?"| | ||||||
| 5 [38:27] | Wama khalaqna alssamaawaal-arda wama baynahuma batilanthalika thannu allatheena kafaroofawaylun lillatheena kafaroo mina alnnari | وما خلقنا السماء والأرض وما بينهما باطلا ذلك ظن الذين كفروا فويل للذين كفروا من النار وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَاطِلًا ذَلِكَ ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنَ النَّارِ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| خلقنا - We created| السماء - the heaven| والأرض - and the earth| وما - and whatever| بينهما - (is) between them| باطلا - without purpose.| ذلك - That| ظن - (is the) assumption| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieve.| فويل - So woe| للذين - to those| كفروا - who disbelieve,| من - from| النار - the Fire.| | ||||||
| 6 [48:6] | WayuAAaththiba almunafiqeena waalmunafiqatiwaalmushrikeena waalmushrikati alththanneenabiAllahi thanna alssaw-iAAalayhim da-iratu alssaw-i waghadiba AllahuAAalayhim walaAAanahum waaAAadda lahum jahannama wasaat maseeran | ويعذب المنافقين والمنافقات والمشركين والمشركات الظانين بالله ظن السوء عليهم دائرة السوء وغضب الله عليهم ولعنهم وأعد لهم جهنم وساءت مصيرا وَيُعَذِّبَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ وَالْمُشْرِكَاتِ الظَّانِّينَ بِاللَّهِ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ عَلَيْهِمْ دَائِرَةُ السَّوْءِ وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيْرًا | |||||
| Words | |ويعذب - And He (may) punish| المنافقين - the hypocrite men| والمنافقات - and the hypocrite women| والمشركين - and the polytheist men| والمشركات - and the polytheist women,| الظانين - who assume| بالله - about Allah| ظن - an assumption| السوء - evil.| عليهم - Upon them| دائرة - (is) a turn| السوء - (of) evil,| وغضب - and Allah's wrath (is)| الله - and Allah's wrath (is)| عليهم - upon them| ولعنهم - and He has cursed them| وأعد - and prepared| لهم - for them| جهنم - Hell,| وساءت - and evil| مصيرا - (is the) destination.| | ||||||
| 7 [48:12] | Bal thanantum an lan yanqalibaalrrasoolu waalmu/minoona ila ahleehimabadan wazuyyina thalika fee quloobikum wathanantumthanna alssaw-i wakuntum qawman booran | بل ظننتم أن لن ينقلب الرسول والمؤمنون إلى أهليهم أبدا وزين ذلك في قلوبكم وظننتم ظن السوء وكنتم قوما بورا بَلْ ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ الرَّسُولُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَى أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًا وَزُيِّنَ ذَلِكَ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًا بُورًا | |||||
| Words | |بل - Nay,| ظننتم - you thought| أن - that| لن - (would) never| ينقلب - return| الرسول - the Messenger| والمؤمنون - and the believers| إلى - to| أهليهم - their families| أبدا - ever,| وزين - that was made fair-seeming| ذلك - that was made fair-seeming| في - in| قلوبكم - your hearts.| وظننتم - And you assumed| ظن - an assumption| السوء - evil,| وكنتم - and you became| قوما - a people| بورا - ruined."| | ||||||
| 8 [84:14] | Innahu thanna an lan yahoora | إنه ظن أن لن يحور إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ | |||||
