| 1 [2:48] | Waittaqoo yawman la tajzeenafsun AAan nafsin shay-an wala yuqbalu minha shafaAAatunwala yu/khathu minha AAadlun wala humyunsaroona |  واتقوا يوما لا تجزي نفس عن نفس شيئا ولا يقبل منها شفاعة ولا يؤخذ منها عدل ولا هم ينصرونوَاتَّقُواْ يَوْماً لاَّ تَجْزِي نَفْسٌ عَنْ نَّفْسٍ شَيْئاً وَّلاَ يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا شَفَاعَةٌ وَّلاَ يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَّلاَ هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ | |||||

| 3 [2:170] | Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo maanzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma alfaynaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana abaohumla yaAAqiloona shay-an wala yahtadoona | وإذا قيل لهم اتبعوا ما أنزل الله قالوا بل نتبع ما ألفينا عليه آباءنا أولو كان آباؤهم لا يعقلون شيئا ولا يهتدون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئاً وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| اتبعوا - "Follow| ما - what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they said,| بل - "Nay| نتبع - we follow| ما - what| ألفينا - we found| عليه - [on it]| آباءنا - our forefathers (following)".| أولو - Even though| كان - [were]| آباؤهم - their forefathers| لا - (did) not| يعقلون - understand| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| يهتدون - were they guided?| | ||||||
| 4 [2:216] | Kutiba AAalaykumu alqitalu wahuwakurhun lakum waAAasa an takrahoo shay-an wahuwa khayrunlakum waAAasa an tuhibboo shay-an wahuwa sharrunlakum waAllahu yaAAlamu waantum lataAAlamoona | كتب عليكم القتال وهو كره لكم وعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا وهو خير لكم وعسى أن تحبوا شيئا وهو شر لكم والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تُحِبُّواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّكُمْ وَاللّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||

| 5 [2:229] | Alttalaqu marratanifa-imsakun bimaAAroofin aw tasreehun bi-ihsaninwala yahillu lakum an ta/khuthoo mimmaataytumoohunna shay-an illa an yakhafaalla yuqeema hudooda Allahi fa-inkhiftum alla yuqeema hudooda Allahifala junaha AAalayhima feema iftadatbihi tilka hudoodu Allahi fala taAAtadoohawaman yataAAadda hudooda Allahi faola-ikahumu alththalimoona | الطلاق مرتان فإمساك بمعروف أو تسريح بإحسان ولا يحل لكم أن تأخذوا مما آتيتموهن شيئا إلا أن يخافا ألا يقيما حدود الله فإن خفتم ألا يقيما حدود الله فلا جناح عليهما فيما افتدت به تلك حدود الله فلا تعتدوها ومن يتعد حدود الله فأولئك هم الظالمون الطَّلاَقُ مَرَّتَانِ فَإِمْسَاكٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ تَسْرِيحٌ بِإِحْسَانٍ وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَأْخُذُواْ مِمَّا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ شَيْئًا إِلاَّ أَن يَخَافَا أَلاَّ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا فِيمَا افْتَدَتْ بِهِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ فَلاَ تَعْتَدُوهَا وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |الطلاق - The divorce| مرتان - (is) twice.| فإمساك - Then to retain| بمعروف - in a reasonable manner| أو - or| تسريح - to release (her)| بإحسان - with kindness.| ولا - And (it is) not| يحل - lawful| لكم - for you| أن - that| تأخذوا - you take (back)| مما - whatever| آتيتموهن - you have given them| شيئا - anything,| إلا - except| أن - if| يخافا - both fear| ألا - that not| يقيما - they both (can) keep| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah.| فإن - But if| خفتم - you fear| ألا - that not| يقيما - they both (can) keep| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah| فلا - then (there is) no| جناح - sin| عليهما - on both of them| فيما - in what| افتدت - she ransoms| به - concerning it.| تلك - These| حدود - (are the) limits| الله - (of) Allah,| فلا - so (do) not| تعتدوها - transgress them.| ومن - And whoever| يتعد - transgresses| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah| فأولئك - then those -| هم - they| الظالمون - (are) the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 6 [2:282] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha tadayantum bidaynin ila ajalin musammanfaoktuboohu walyaktub baynakum katibun bialAAadliwala ya/ba katibun an yaktuba kamaAAallamahu Allahu falyaktub walyumlili allatheeAAalayhi alhaqqu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahu walayabkhas minhu shay-an fa-in kana allathee AAalayhialhaqqu safeehan aw daAAeefan aw la yastateeAAuan yumilla huwa falyumlil waliyyuhu bialAAadli waistashhidooshaheedayni min rijalikum fa-in lam yakoonarajulayni farajulun waimraatani mimman tardawnamina alshshuhada-i an tadilla ihdahumafatuthakkira ihdahuma al-okhrawala ya/ba alshshuhadao itha maduAAoo wala tas-amoo an taktuboohu sagheeran awkabeeran ila ajalihi thalikum aqsatu AAindaAllahi waaqwamu lilshshahadati waadnaalla tartaboo illa an takoona tijaratanhadiratan tudeeroonaha baynakum falaysa AAalaykumjunahun alla taktubooha waashhidoo ithatabayaAAtum wala yudarra katibun walashaheedun wa-in tafAAaloo fa-innahu fusooqun bikum waittaqooAllaha wayuAAallimukumu Allahu waAllahubikulli shay-in AAaleemun | يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا تداينتم بدين إلى أجل مسمى فاكتبوه وليكتب بينكم كاتب بالعدل ولا يأب كاتب أن يكتب كما علمه الله فليكتب وليملل الذي عليه الحق وليتق الله ربه ولا يبخس منه شيئا فإن كان الذي عليه الحق سفيها أو ضعيفا أو لا يستطيع أن يمل هو فليملل وليه بالعدل واستشهدوا شهيدين من رجالكم فإن لم يكونا رجلين فرجل وامرأتان ممن ترضون من الشهداء أن تضل إحداهما فتذكر إحداهما الأخرى ولا يأب الشهداء إذا ما دعوا ولا تسأموا أن تكتبوه صغيرا أو كبيرا إلى أجله ذلكم أقسط عند الله وأقوم للشهادة وأدنى ألا ترتابوا إلا أن تكون تجارة حاضرة تديرونها بينكم فليس عليكم جناح ألا تكتبوها وأشهدوا إذا تبايعتم ولا يضار كاتب ولا شهيد وإن تفعلوا فإنه فسوق بكم واتقوا الله ويعلمكم الله والله بكل شيء عليم يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِذَا تَدَايَنتُم بِدَيْنٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى فَاكْتُبُوهُ وَلْيَكْتُب بَّيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالْعَدْلِ وَلاَ يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ كَمَا عَلَّمَهُ اللّهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللّهَ رَبَّهُ وَلاَ يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَإِن كَانَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ سَفِيهًا أَوْ ضَعِيفًا أَوْ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَن يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَاسْتَشْهِدُواْ شَهِيدَيْنِ من رِّجَالِكُمْ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَأَتَانِ مِمَّن تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَاءِ أَن تَضِلَّ إحْدَاهُمَا فَتُذَكِّرَ إِحْدَاهُمَا الأُخْرَى وَلاَ يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَاءُ إِذَا مَا دُعُواْ وَلاَ تَسْأَمُوْاْ أَن تَكْتُبُوْهُ صَغِيرًا أَو كَبِيرًا إِلَى أَجَلِهِ ذَلِكُمْ أَقْسَطُ عِندَ اللّهِ وَأَقْومُ لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَأَدْنَى أَلاَّ تَرْتَابُواْ إِلاَّ أَن تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً حَاضِرَةً تُدِيرُونَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَلاَّ تَكْتُبُوهَا وَأَشْهِدُوْاْ إِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْ وَلاَ يُضَآرَّ كَاتِبٌ وَلاَ شَهِيدٌ وَإِن تَفْعَلُواْ فَإِنَّهُ فُسُوقٌ بِكُمْ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللّهُ وَاللّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| إذا - When| تداينتم - you contract with one another| بدين - any debt| إلى - for| أجل - a term| مسمى - fixed| فاكتبوه - then write it.| وليكتب - And let write| بينكم - between you| كاتب - a scribe| بالعدل - in justice.| ولا - And not| يأب - (should) refuse| كاتب - a scribe| أن - that| يكتب - he writes| كما - as| علمه - (has) taught him| الله - Allah.| فليكتب - So let him write| وليملل - and let dictate| الذي - the one| عليه - on whom| الحق - (is) the right| وليتق - and let him fear| الله - Allah,| ربه - his Lord,| ولا - and (let him) not| يبخس - diminish| منه - from it| شيئا - anything.| فإن - Then if| كان - is| الذي - the one| عليه - on him| الحق - (is) the right,| سفيها - (of) limited understanding,| أو - or| ضعيفا - weak,| أو - or| لا - not| يستطيع - capable| أن - that| يمل - (can) dictate| هو - he,| فليملل - then let dictate| وليه - his guardian| بالعدل - with justice.| واستشهدوا - And call for evidence| شهيدين - two witnesses| من - among| رجالكم - your men.| فإن - And if| لم - not| يكونا - there are| رجلين - two men| فرجل - then one man| وامرأتان - and two women| ممن - of whom| ترضون - you agree| من - of| الشهداء - [the] witnesses,| أن - (so) that (if)| تضل - [she] errs,| إحداهما - one of the two,| فتذكر - then will remind| إحداهما - one of the two| الأخرى - the other.| ولا - And not| يأب - (should) refuse| الشهداء - the witnesses| إذا - when| ما - that| دعوا - they are called.| ولا - And not| تسأموا - (be) weary| أن - that| تكتبوه - you write it -| صغيرا - small| أو - or| كبيرا - large| إلى - for| أجله - its term.| ذلكم - That| أقسط - (is) more just| عند - near| الله - Allah,| وأقوم - and more upright| للشهادة - for evidence| وأدنى - and nearer| ألا - that not| ترتابوا - you (have) doubt,| إلا - except| أن - that| تكون - be| تجارة - a transaction| حاضرة - present,| تديرونها - you carry out| بينكم - among you,| فليس - then not| عليكم - on you| جناح - any sin| ألا - that not| تكتبوها - you write it.| وأشهدوا - And take witness| إذا - when| تبايعتم - you make commercial transaction.| ولا - And not| يضار - (should) be harmed| كاتب - (the) scribe| ولا - and not| شهيد - (the) witness,| وإن - and if| تفعلوا - you do,| فإنه - then indeed it| فسوق - (is) sinful conduct| بكم - for you,| واتقوا - and fear| الله - Allah.| ويعلمكم - And teaches| الله - Allah.| والله - And Allah| بكل - of every| شيء - thing| عليم - (is) All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 7 [3:10] | Inna allatheena kafaroo lan tughniyaAAanhum amwaluhum wala awladuhum mina Allahishay-an waola-ika hum waqoodu alnnari | إن الذين كفروا لن تغني عنهم أموالهم ولا أولادهم من الله شيئا وأولئك هم وقود النار إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُم مِّنَ اللّهِ شَيْئًا وَأُولَـئِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ النَّارِ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve[d]| لن - never| تغني - will avail| عنهم - [for] them| أموالهم - their wealth| ولا - and not| أولادهم - their children| من - against| الله - Allah| شيئا - anything,| وأولئك - and those -| هم - they (are)| وقود - (the) fuel| النار - (for) the Fire.| | ||||||
| 8 [3:64] | Qul ya ahla alkitabi taAAalawila kalimatin sawa-in baynana wabaynakum allanaAAbuda illa Allaha wala nushrika bihishay-an wala yattakhitha baAAdunabaAAdan arbaban min dooni Allahi fa-intawallaw faqooloo ishhadoo bi-anna muslimoona | قل يا أهل الكتاب تعالوا إلى كلمة سواء بيننا وبينكم ألا نعبد إلا الله ولا نشرك به شيئا ولا يتخذ بعضنا بعضا أربابا من دون الله فإن تولوا فقولوا اشهدوا بأنا مسلمون قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْاْ إِلَى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلاَّ نَعْبُدَ إِلاَّ اللّهَ وَلاَ نُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضاً أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَقُولُواْ اشْهَدُواْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| يا - O| أهل - "O People| الكتاب - (of) the Book!| تعالوا - Come| إلى - to| كلمة - a word| سواء - equitable| بيننا - between us| وبينكم - and between you -| ألا - that not| نعبد - we worship| إلا - except| الله - Allah,| ولا - and not| نشرك - we associate partners| به - with Him -| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| يتخذ - take| بعضنا - some of us| بعضا - (to) others| أربابا - (as) lords| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah."| فإن - Then if| تولوا - they turn away,| فقولوا - then say,| اشهدوا - "Bear witness| بأنا - that we| مسلمون - (are) Muslims."| | ||||||
| 9 [3:116] | Inna allatheena kafaroo lan tughniyaAAanhum amwaluhum wala awladuhum mina Allahishay-an waola-ika as-habu alnnarihum feeha khalidoona | إن الذين كفروا لن تغني عنهم أموالهم ولا أولادهم من الله شيئا وأولئك أصحاب النار هم فيها خالدون إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُم مِّنَ اللّهِ شَيْئًا وَأُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved,| لن - never| تغني - will avail| عنهم - [for] them| أموالهم - their wealth| ولا - and not| أولادهم - their children| من - against| الله - Allah| شيئا - anything,| وأولئك - and those| أصحاب - (are the) companions| النار - (of) the Fire,| هم - they| فيها - in it| خالدون - (will) abide forever.| | ||||||
| 10 [3:120] | In tamsaskum hasanatun tasu/humwa-in tusibkum sayyi-atun yafrahoo bihawa-in tasbiroo watattaqoo la yadurrukumkayduhum shay-an inna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona muheetun | إن تمسسكم حسنة تسؤهم وإن تصبكم سيئة يفرحوا بها وإن تصبروا وتتقوا لا يضركم كيدهم شيئا إن الله بما يعملون محيط إِن تَمْسَسْكُمْ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ وَإِن تُصِبْكُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَفْرَحُواْ بِهَا وَإِن تَصْبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ لاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ | |||||
| Words | |إن - If| تمسسكم - touches you| حسنة - a good,| تسؤهم - it grieves them| وإن - and if| تصبكم - strikes you| سيئة - misfortune,| يفرحوا - they rejoice| بها - at it.| وإن - And if| تصبروا - you are patient| وتتقوا - and fear (Allah),| لا - not| يضركم - will harm you| كيدهم - their plot| شيئا - (in) anything.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah,| بما - of what| يعملون - they do| محيط - (is) All-Encompassing.| | ||||||
| 11 [3:144] | Wama muhammadun illarasoolun qad khalat min qablihi alrrusulu afa-in mataaw qutila inqalabtum AAala aAAqabikum wamanyanqalib AAala AAaqibayhi falan yadurra Allahashay-an wasayajzee Allahu alshshakireena | وما محمد إلا رسول قد خلت من قبله الرسل أفإن مات أو قتل انقلبتم على أعقابكم ومن ينقلب على عقبيه فلن يضر الله شيئا وسيجزي الله الشاكرين وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلاَّ رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ أَفَإِن مَّاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ انْقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ وَمَن يَنقَلِبْ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَن يَضُرَّ اللّهَ شَيْئًا وَسَيَجْزِي اللّهُ الشَّاكِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| محمد - (is) Muhammad -| إلا - except| رسول - a Messenger,| قد - certainly| خلت - passed away| من - from| قبله - before him| الرسل - [the] (other) Messengers.| أفإن - So if| مات - he died| أو - or| قتل - is slain| انقلبتم - will you turn back| على - on| أعقابكم - your heels?| ومن - And whoever| ينقلب - turns back| على - on| عقبيه - his heels| فلن - then never| يضر - will he harm| الله - Allah| شيئا - (in) anything.| وسيجزي - And will reward| الله - Allah| الشاكرين - the grateful ones.| | ||||||
| 12 [3:176] | Wala yahzunka allatheenayusariAAoona fee alkufri innahum lan yadurroo Allahashay-an yureedu Allahu alla yajAAala lahum haththanfee al-akhirati walahum AAathabun AAatheemun | ولا يحزنك الذين يسارعون في الكفر إنهم لن يضروا الله شيئا يريد الله ألا يجعل لهم حظا في الآخرة ولهم عذاب عظيم وَلاَ يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَن يَضُرُّواْ اللّهَ شَيْئاً يُرِيدُ اللّهُ أَلاَّ يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظًّا فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||

| 13 [3:177] | Inna allatheena ishtarawoo alkufrabial-eemani lan yadurroo Allahashay-an walahum AAathabun aleemun | إن الذين اشتروا الكفر بالإيمان لن يضروا الله شيئا ولهم عذاب أليم إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُاْ الْكُفْرَ بِالْإِيمَانِ لَن يَضُرُّواْ اللّهَ شَيْئًا وَلهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||

| 14 [4:19] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola yahillu lakum an tarithoo alnnisaakarhan wala taAAduloohunna litathhaboobibaAAdi ma ataytumoohunna illa anya/teena bifahishatin mubayyinatin waAAashiroohunnabialmaAAroofi fa-in karihtumoohunna faAAasa antakrahoo shay-an wayajAAala Allahu feehi khayran katheeran | يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا يحل لكم أن ترثوا النساء كرها ولا تعضلوهن لتذهبوا ببعض ما آتيتموهن إلا أن يأتين بفاحشة مبينة وعاشروهن بالمعروف فإن كرهتموهن فعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا ويجعل الله فيه خيرا كثيرا يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَرِثُواْ النِّسَاءَ كَرْهًا وَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُواْ بِبَعْضِ مَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلاَّ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| لا - Not| يحل - (is) lawful| لكم - for you| أن - that| ترثوا - you inherit| النساء - the women| كرها - (by) force.| ولا - And not| تعضلوهن - you constraint them| لتذهبوا - so that you may take| ببعض - a part| ما - (of) what| آتيتموهن - you have given them| إلا - except| أن - that| يأتين - they commit| بفاحشة - immorality| مبينة - open.| وعاشروهن - And live with them| بالمعروف - in kindness.| فإن - But if| كرهتموهن - you dislike them,| فعسى - then perhaps| أن - that| تكرهوا - you dislike| شيئا - a thing| ويجعل - and has placed| الله - Allah| فيه - in it| خيرا - good| كثيرا - much.| | ||||||
| 15 [4:20] | Wa-in aradtumu istibdala zawjin makanazawjin waataytum ihdahunna qintaranfala ta/khuthoo minhu shay-an ata/khuthoonahubuhtanan wa-ithman mubeenan | وإن أردتم استبدال زوج مكان زوج وآتيتم إحداهن قنطارا فلا تأخذوا منه شيئا أتأخذونه بهتانا وإثما مبينا وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمُ اسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَّكَانَ زَوْجٍ وَآتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ قِنطَارًا فَلاَ تَأْخُذُواْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا أَتَأْخُذُونَهُ بُهْتَاناً وَإِثْماً مُّبِيناً | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And if| أردتم - you intend| استبدال - replacing| زوج - a wife| مكان - (in) place| زوج - (of) a wife| وآتيتم - and you have given| إحداهن - one of them| قنطارا - heap (of gold)| فلا - then (do) not| تأخذوا - take away| منه - from it| شيئا - anything.| أتأخذونه - Would you take it| بهتانا - (by) slander| وإثما - and a sin| مبينا - open?| | ||||||
| 16 [4:36] | WaoAAbudoo Allaha walatushrikoo bihi shay-an wabialwalidayni ihsananwabithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeniwaaljari thee alqurba waaljarialjunubi waalssahibi bialjanbi waibnialssabeeli wama malakat aymanukum inna Allahala yuhibbu man kana mukhtalan fakhooran | واعبدوا الله ولا تشركوا به شيئا وبالوالدين إحسانا وبذي القربى واليتامى والمساكين والجار ذي القربى والجار الجنب والصاحب بالجنب وابن السبيل وما ملكت أيمانكم إن الله لا يحب من كان مختالا فخورا وَاعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ وَلاَ تُشْرِكُواْ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَبِذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْجَارِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنْبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالاً فَخُورًا | |||||
| Words | |واعبدوا - And worship| الله - Allah| ولا - And (do) not| تشركوا - associate| به - with Him| شيئا - anything,| وبالوالدين - and to the parents| إحسانا - (do) good,| وبذي - and with| القربى - the relatives,| واليتامى - and the orphans,| والمساكين - and the needy| والجار - and the neighbor| ذي - (who is)| القربى - near,| والجار - and the neighbor| الجنب - (who is) farther away,| والصاحب - and the companion| بالجنب - by your side| وابن - and the| السبيل - traveler| وما - and what| ملكت - possess[ed]| أيمانكم - your right hands.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يحب - love| من - (the one) who| كان - is| مختالا - [a] proud| فخورا - (and) [a] boastful.| | ||||||
| 17 [5:17] | Laqad kafara allatheena qalooinna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama qul famanyamliku mina Allahi shay-an in arada an yuhlikaalmaseeha ibna maryama waommahu waman fee al-ardijameeAAan walillahi mulku alssamawatiwaal-ardi wama baynahuma yakhluqu mayashao waAllahu AAala kulli shay-inqadeerun | لقد كفر الذين قالوا إن الله هو المسيح ابن مريم قل فمن يملك من الله شيئا إن أراد أن يهلك المسيح ابن مريم وأمه ومن في الأرض جميعا ولله ملك السماوات والأرض وما بينهما يخلق ما يشاء والله على كل شيء قدير لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَآلُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ اللّهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ الْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَلِلّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||

| 18 [5:41] | Ya ayyuha alrrasoolu layahzunka allatheena yusariAAoona fee alkufrimina allatheena qaloo amanna bi-afwahihimwalam tu/min quloobuhum wamina allatheena hadoosammaAAoona lilkathibi sammaAAoona liqawmin akhareenalam ya/tooka yuharrifoona alkalima min baAAdi mawadiAAihiyaqooloona in ooteetum hatha fakhuthoohu wa-in lamtu/tawhu faihtharoo waman yuridi Allahufitnatahu falan tamlika lahu mina Allahi shay-an ola-ikaallatheena lam yuridi Allahu an yutahhiraquloobahum lahum fee alddunya khizyun walahum feeal-akhirati AAathabun AAatheemun | يا أيها الرسول لا يحزنك الذين يسارعون في الكفر من الذين قالوا آمنا بأفواههم ولم تؤمن قلوبهم ومن الذين هادوا سماعون للكذب سماعون لقوم آخرين لم يأتوك يحرفون الكلم من بعد مواضعه يقولون إن أوتيتم هذا فخذوه وإن لم تؤتوه فاحذروا ومن يرد الله فتنته فلن تملك له من الله شيئا أولئك الذين لم يرد الله أن يطهر قلوبهم لهم في الدنيا خزي ولهم في الآخرة عذاب عظيم يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ لاَ يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ آمَنَّا بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُواْ سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّاعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ مِن بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَـذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُواْ وَمَن يُرِدِ اللّهُ فِتْنَتَهُ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُ مِنَ اللّهِ شَيْئًا أُوْلَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| الرسول - Messenger!| لا - Let not| يحزنك - grieve you| الذين - those who| يسارعون - hasten| في - in (to)| الكفر - [the] disbelief -| من - of| الذين - those who| قالوا - said,| آمنا - "We believe"| بأفواههم - with their mouths| ولم - and not| تؤمن - believe| قلوبهم - their hearts,| ومن - and from| الذين - those who| هادوا - (are) Jews.| سماعون - They (are) listeners| للكذب - to falsehood,| سماعون - (and) listeners| لقوم - for people,| آخرين - other,| لم - (who have) not| يأتوك - come to you.| يحرفون - They distort| الكلم - the words| من - from| بعد - after| مواضعه - their context,| يقولون - saying,| إن - "If| أوتيتم - you are given| هذا - this| فخذوه - [so] take it| وإن - but if| لم - not| تؤتوه - you are given it| فاحذروا - then beware."| ومن - And (for) whom| يرد - intends| الله - Allah| فتنته - his trial,| فلن - then never| تملك - will you have power| له - for him| من - against| الله - Allah| شيئا - anything.| أولئك - Those| الذين - (are) the ones| لم - never| يرد - will intend| الله - Allah| أن - that| يطهر - He purifies| قلوبهم - their hearts.| لهم - For them| في - in| الدنيا - the world| خزي - (is) disgrace| ولهم - and for them| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| عذاب - (is) a punishment| عظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 19 [5:42] | SammaAAoona lilkathibi akkaloonalilssuhti fa-in jaooka faohkumbaynahum aw aAArid AAanhum wa-in tuAArid AAanhumfalan yadurrooka shay-an wa-in hakamta faohkumbaynahum bialqisti inna Allaha yuhibbualmuqsiteena | سماعون للكذب أكالون للسحت فإن جاءوك فاحكم بينهم أو أعرض عنهم وإن تعرض عنهم فلن يضروك شيئا وإن حكمت فاحكم بينهم بالقسط إن الله يحب المقسطين سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّالُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ فَإِن جَآؤُوكَ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْئًا وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْقِسْطِ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ | |||||
| Words | |سماعون - Listeners| للكذب - to [the] falsehood,| أكالون - devourers| للسحت - of the forbidden.| فإن - So if| جاءوك - they come to you| فاحكم - then judge| بينهم - between them| أو - or| أعرض - turn away| عنهم - from them.| وإن - And if| تعرض - you turn away| عنهم - from them,| فلن - then never| يضروك - will they harm you| شيئا - (in) anything.| وإن - And if| حكمت - you judge,| فاحكم - then judge| بينهم - between them| بالقسط - with [the] justice.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| يحب - loves| المقسطين - the ones who are just.| | ||||||
| 20 [5:104] | Wa-itha qeela lahum taAAalawila ma anzala Allahu wa-ila alrrasooliqaloo hasbuna ma wajadnaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana abaohumla yaAAlamoona shay-an wala yahtadoona | وإذا قيل لهم تعالوا إلى ما أنزل الله وإلى الرسول قالوا حسبنا ما وجدنا عليه آباءنا أولو كان آباؤهم لا يعلمون شيئا ولا يهتدون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْاْ إِلَى مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ قَالُواْ حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
