| 1 [3:191] | Allatheena yathkuroona Allahaqiyaman waquAAoodan waAAala junoobihimwayatafakkaroona fee khalqi alssamawati waal-ardirabbana ma khalaqta hatha batilan subhanakafaqina AAathaba alnnari |  الذين يذكرون الله قياما وقعودا وعلى جنوبهم ويتفكرون في خلق السماوات والأرض ربنا ما خلقت هذا باطلا سبحانك فقنا عذاب النارالَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَى جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذَا بَاطِلاً سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| يذكرون - remember| الله - Allah| قياما - standing,| وقعودا - and sitting| وعلى - and on| جنوبهم - their sides| ويتفكرون - and they reflect| في - on| خلق - (the) creation| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| ربنا - "Our Lord,| ما - not| خلقت - You have created| هذا - this| باطلا - (in) vain.| سبحانك - Glory be to You,| فقنا - so save us| عذاب - (from the) punishment| النار - (of) the Fire.| | ||||||
| 2 [17:61] | Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa qalaaasjudu liman khalaqta teenan | وإذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس قال أأسجد لمن خلقت طينا وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَآئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ أَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| للملائكة - to the Angels,| اسجدوا - "Prostrate| لآدم - to Adam."| فسجدوا - So they prostrated| إلا - except| إبليس - Iblis.| قال - He said,| أأسجد - "Shall I prostrate| لمن - to (one) whom| خلقت - You created| طينا - (from) clay?"| | ||||||
| 3 [38:75] | Qala ya ibleesu mamanaAAaka an tasjuda lima khalaqtu biyadayya astakbarta amkunta mina alAAaleena | قال يا إبليس ما منعك أن تسجد لما خلقت بيدي أستكبرت أم كنت من العالين قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ الْعَالِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| يا - O| إبليس - "O Iblis!| ما - What| منعك - prevented you| أن - that| تسجد - you (should) prostrate| لما - to (one) whom| خلقت - I created| بيدي - with My Hands?| أستكبرت - Are you arrogant| أم - or| كنت - are you| من - of| العالين - the exalted ones."| | ||||||
| 4 [51:56] | Wama khalaqtu aljinna waal-insailla liyaAAbudooni | وما خلقت الجن والإنس إلا ليعبدون وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| خلقت - I have created| الجن - the jinn| والإنس - and the mankind| إلا - except| ليعبدون - that they worship Me.| | ||||||
