| 1 [2:55] | Wa-ith qultum ya moosalan nu/mina laka hatta nara Allahajahratan faakhathatkumu alssaAAiqatu waantumtanthuroona |  وإذ قلتم يا موسى لن نؤمن لك حتى نرى الله جهرة فأخذتكم الصاعقة وأنتم تنظرونوَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَى لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّى نَرَى اللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلتم - you said,| يا - O| موسى - "O Musa!| لن - Never| نؤمن - (will) we believe| لك - in you| حتى - until| نرى - we see| الله - Allah| جهرة - manifestly."| فأخذتكم - So seized you| الصاعقة - the thunderbolt| وأنتم - while you| تنظرون - (were) looking.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:102] | WaittabaAAoo ma tatloo alshshayateenuAAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanuwalakinna alshshayateena kafarooyuAAallimoona alnnasa alssihra wamaonzila AAala almalakayni bibabila harootawamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadinhatta yaqoola innama nahnufitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma mayufarriqoona bihi bayna almar-i wazawjihi wama hum bidarreenabihi min ahadin illa bi-ithni AllahiwayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum walayanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu malahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin walabi/sa masharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoona | واتبعوا ما تتلو الشياطين على ملك سليمان وما كفر سليمان ولكن الشياطين كفروا يعلمون الناس السحر وما أنزل على الملكين ببابل هاروت وماروت وما يعلمان من أحد حتى يقولا إنما نحن فتنة فلا تكفر فيتعلمون منهما ما يفرقون به بين المرء وزوجه وما هم بضارين به من أحد إلا بإذن الله ويتعلمون ما يضرهم ولا ينفعهم ولقد علموا لمن اشتراه ما له في الآخرة من خلاق ولبئس ما شروا به أنفسهم لو كانوا يعلمون وَاتَّبَعُواْ مَا تَتْلُواْ الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولاَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلاَ تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واتبعوا - And they followed| ما - what| تتلو - recite(d)| الشياطين - the devils| على - over| ملك - (the) kingdom| سليمان - (of) Sulaiman.| وما - And not| كفر - disbelieved| سليمان - Sulaiman| ولكن - [and] but| الشياطين - the devils| كفروا - disbelieved,| يعلمون - they teach| الناس - the people| السحر - [the] magic| وما - and what| أنزل - was sent down| على - to| الملكين - the two angels| ببابل - in Babylon,| هاروت - Harut| وماروت - and Marut.| وما - And not| يعلمان - they both teach| من - any| أحد - one| حتى - unless| يقولا - they [both] say,| إنما - "Only| نحن - we| فتنة - (are) a trial,| فلا - so (do) not| تكفر - disbelieve."| فيتعلمون - But they learn| منهما - from those two| ما - what| يفرقون - [they] causes separation| به - with it| بين - between| المرء - the man| وزوجه - and his spouse.| وما - And not| هم - they (could)| بضارين - at all [be those who] harm| به - with it| من - any| أحد - one| إلا - except| بإذن - by permission| الله - (of) Allah.| ويتعلمون - And they learn| ما - what| يضرهم - harms them| ولا - and not| ينفعهم - profits them.| ولقد - And indeed| علموا - they knew| لمن - that whoever| اشتراه - buys it,| ما - not| له - for him| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| من - any| خلاق - share.| ولبئس - And surely evil| ما - (is) what| شروا - they sold| به - with it| أنفسهم - themselves,| لو - if| كانوا - they were| يعلمون - (to) know.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:109] | Wadda katheerun min ahli alkitabilaw yaruddoonakum min baAAdi eemanikum kuffaran hasadanmin AAindi anfusihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhaqqufaoAAfoo waisfahoo hattaya/tiya Allahu bi-amrihi inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | ود كثير من أهل الكتاب لو يردونكم من بعد إيمانكم كفارا حسدا من عند أنفسهم من بعد ما تبين لهم الحق فاعفوا واصفحوا حتى يأتي الله بأمره إن الله على كل شيء قدير وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْ كُفَّاراً حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ فَاعْفُواْ وَاصْفَحُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||

| 4 [2:120] | Walan tarda AAanka alyahoodu walaalnnasara hatta tattabiAAamillatahum qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhudawala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda allathee jaakamina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi min waliyyin walanaseerin | ولن ترضى عنك اليهود ولا النصارى حتى تتبع ملتهم قل إن هدى الله هو الهدى ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعد الذي جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا نصير وَلَن تَرْضَى عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلاَ النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ | |||||
| Words | |ولن - And never| ترضى - will be pleased| عنك - with you| اليهود - the Jews| ولا - and [not]| النصارى - the Christians| حتى - until| تتبع - you follow| ملتهم - their religion.| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed,| هدى - (the) Guidance| الله - (of) Allah,| هو - it| الهدى - (is) the Guidance."| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you follow| أهواءهم - their desires| بعد - after| الذي - what| جاءك - has come to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| ما - not| لك - for you| من - from| الله - Allah| من - any| ولي - protector| ولا - and not| نصير - any helper.| | ||||||
| 5 [2:187] | Ohilla lakum laylata alssiyamialrrafathu ila nisa-ikum hunna libasunlakum waantum libasun lahunna AAalima Allahuannakum kuntum takhtanoona anfusakum fatabaAAalaykum waAAafa AAankum faal-ana bashiroohunnawaibtaghoo ma kataba Allahu lakum wakuloo waishraboohatta yatabayyana lakumu alkhaytu al-abyadumina alkhayti al-aswadi mina alfajri thumma atimmoo alssiyamaila allayli wala tubashiroohunna waantum AAakifoonafee almasajidi tilka hudoodu Allahi falataqrabooha kathalika yubayyinu Allahu ayatihililnnasi laAAallahum yattaqoona | أحل لكم ليلة الصيام الرفث إلى نسائكم هن لباس لكم وأنتم لباس لهن علم الله أنكم كنتم تختانون أنفسكم فتاب عليكم وعفا عنكم فالآن باشروهن وابتغوا ما كتب الله لكم وكلوا واشربوا حتى يتبين لكم الخيط الأبيض من الخيط الأسود من الفجر ثم أتموا الصيام إلى الليل ولا تباشروهن وأنتم عاكفون في المساجد تلك حدود الله فلا تقربوها كذلك يبين الله آياته للناس لعلهم يتقون أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلَى نِسَآئِكُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ عَلِمَ اللّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَخْتَانُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنكُمْ فَالْآنَ بَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُواْ مَا كَتَبَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ وَكُلُواْ وَاشْرَبُواْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّواْ الصِّيَامَ إِلَى الَّيْلِ وَلاَ تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ فَلاَ تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أحل - Permitted| لكم - for you| ليلة - (in the) nights| الصيام - (of) fasting| الرفث - (is) the approach| إلى - to| نسائكم - your wives.| هن - They| لباس - (are) garments| لكم - for you| وأنتم - and you| لباس - (are) garments| لهن - for them.| علم - Knows| الله - Allah| أنكم - that you| كنتم - used to| تختانون - deceive| أنفسكم - yourselves,| فتاب - so He turned| عليكم - towards you| وعفا - and He forgave| عنكم - [on] you.| فالآن - So now| باشروهن - have relations with them| وابتغوا - and seek| ما - what| كتب - has ordained| الله - Allah| لكم - for you.| وكلوا - And eat| واشربوا - and drink| حتى - until| يتبين - becomes distinct| لكم - to you| الخيط - the thread| الأبيض - [the] white| من - from| الخيط - the thread| الأسود - [the] black| من - of| الفجر - [the] dawn.| ثم - Then| أتموا - complete| الصيام - the fast| إلى - till| الليل - the night.| ولا - And (do) not| تباشروهن - have relations with them| وأنتم - while you| عاكفون - (are) secluded| في - in| المساجد - the masajid.| تلك - These| حدود - (are the) limits| الله - (set by) Allah,| فلا - so (do) not| تقربوها - approach them.| كذلك - Thus| يبين - makes clear| الله - Allah| آياته - His verses| للناس - for [the] people| لعلهم - so that they may| يتقون - (become) righteous.| | ||||||
| 6 [2:191] | Waoqtuloohum haythuthaqiftumoohum waakhrijoohum min haythu akhrajookum waalfitnatuashaddu mina alqatli wala tuqatiloohum AAindaalmasjidi alharami hatta yuqatilookumfeehi fa-in qatalookum faoqtuloohum kathalikajazao alkafireena | واقتلوهم حيث ثقفتموهم وأخرجوهم من حيث أخرجوكم والفتنة أشد من القتل ولا تقاتلوهم عند المسجد الحرام حتى يقاتلوكم فيه فإن قاتلوكم فاقتلوهم كذلك جزاء الكافرين وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَخْرِجُوهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ أَخْرَجُوكُمْ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ وَلاَ تُقَاتِلُوهُمْ عِندَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ حَتَّى يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ فَإِن قَاتَلُوكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ كَذَلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |واقتلوهم - And kill them| حيث - wherever| ثقفتموهم - you find them,| وأخرجوهم - and drive them out| من - from| حيث - wherever| أخرجوكم - they drove you out,| والفتنة - and [the] oppression| أشد - (is) worse| من - than| القتل - [the] killing.| ولا - And (do) not| تقاتلوهم - fight them| عند - near| المسجد - Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam| حتى - until| يقاتلوكم - they fight you| فيه - in it.| فإن - Then if| قاتلوكم - they fight you,| فاقتلوهم - then kill them.| كذلك - Such| جزاء - (is the) reward| الكافرين - (of) the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 7 [2:193] | Waqatiloohum hatta latakoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu lillahi fa-iniintahaw fala AAudwana illa AAala alththalimeena | وقاتلوهم حتى لا تكون فتنة ويكون الدين لله فإن انتهوا فلا عدوان إلا على الظالمين وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلّهِ فَإِنِ انتَهَواْ فَلاَ عُدْوَانَ إِلاَّ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||

| 8 [2:196] | Waatimmoo alhajja waalAAumratalillahi fa-in ohsirtum fama istaysara minaalhadyi wala tahliqoo ruoosakum hattayablugha alhadyu mahillahu faman kana minkum mareedanaw bihi athan min ra/sihi fafidyatun min siyaminaw sadaqatin aw nusukin fa-itha amintum famantamattaAAa bialAAumrati ila alhajji famaistaysara mina alhadyi faman lam yajid fasiyamuthalathati ayyamin fee alhajji wasabAAatin itharajaAAtum tilka AAasharatun kamilatun thalika limanlam yakun ahluhu hadiree almasjidi alharamiwaittaqoo Allaha waiAAlamoo anna Allahashadeedu alAAiqabi | وأتموا الحج والعمرة لله فإن أحصرتم فما استيسر من الهدي ولا تحلقوا رءوسكم حتى يبلغ الهدي محله فمن كان منكم مريضا أو به أذى من رأسه ففدية من صيام أو صدقة أو نسك فإذا أمنتم فمن تمتع بالعمرة إلى الحج فما استيسر من الهدي فمن لم يجد فصيام ثلاثة أيام في الحج وسبعة إذا رجعتم تلك عشرة كاملة ذلك لمن لم يكن أهله حاضري المسجد الحرام واتقوا الله واعلموا أن الله شديد العقاب وَأَتِمُّواْ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلّهِ فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ وَلاَ تَحْلِقُواْ رُؤُوسَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْهَدْيُ مَحِلَّهُ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضاً أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ فَإِذَا أَمِنتُمْ فَمَن تَمَتَّعَ بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِي الْحَجِّ وَسَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلَةٌ ذَلِكَ لِمَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُ حَاضِرِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |وأتموا - And complete| الحج - the Hajj| والعمرة - and the Umrah| لله - for Allah.| فإن - And if| أحصرتم - you are held back| فما - then (offer) whatever| استيسر - (can be) obtained with ease| من - of| الهدي - the sacrificial animal.| ولا - And (do) not| تحلقوا - shave| رءوسكم - your heads| حتى - until| يبلغ - reaches| الهدي - the sacrificial animal| محله - (to) its destination.| فمن - Then whoever| كان - is| منكم - among you| مريضا - ill| أو - or| به - he (has)| أذى - an ailment| من - of| رأسه - his head| ففدية - then a ransom| من - of| صيام - fasting| أو - or| صدقة - charity| أو - or| نسك - sacrifice.| فإذا - Then when| أمنتم - you are secure| فمن - then whoever| تمتع - took advantage| بالعمرة - of the Umrah| إلى - followed| الحج - (by) the Hajj,| فما - then (offer) whatever| استيسر - (can be) obtained with ease| من - of| الهدي - the sacrificial animal.| فمن - But whoever| لم - (can) not| يجد - find -| فصيام - then a fast| ثلاثة - (of) three| أيام - days| في - during| الحج - the Hajj| وسبعة - and seven (days)| إذا - when| رجعتم - you return.| تلك - This| عشرة - (is) ten (days)| كاملة - in all.| ذلك - That| لمن - (is) for (the one) whose,| لم - not| يكن - is| أهله - his family| حاضري - present| المسجد - (near) Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah| واعلموا - and know| أن - that| الله - Allah| شديد - (is) severe| العقاب - (in) retribution.| | ||||||
| 9 [2:214] | Am hasibtum an tadkhuloo aljannatawalamma ya/tikum mathalu allatheena khalaw minqablikum massat-humu alba/sao waalddarraowazulziloo hatta yaqoola alrrasoolu waallatheenaamanoo maAAahu mata nasru Allahi alainna nasra Allahi qareebun | أم حسبتم أن تدخلوا الجنة ولما يأتكم مثل الذين خلوا من قبلكم مستهم البأساء والضراء وزلزلوا حتى يقول الرسول والذين آمنوا معه متى نصر الله ألا إن نصر الله قريب أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُواْ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مَّسَّتْهُمُ الْبَأْسَاءُ وَالضَّرَّاءُ وَزُلْزِلُواْ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ مَتَى نَصْرُ اللّهِ أَلا إِنَّ نَصْرَ اللّهِ قَرِيبٌ | |||||
| Words | |أم - Or| حسبتم - (do) you think| أن - that| تدخلوا - you will enter| الجنة - Paradise| ولما - while not| يأتكم - (has) come to you| مثل - like (came to)| الذين - those who| خلوا - passed away| من - from| قبلكم - before you?| مستهم - Touched them| البأساء - [the] adversity| والضراء - and [the] hardship,| وزلزلوا - and they were shaken| حتى - until| يقول - said| الرسول - the Messenger| والذين - and those who| آمنوا - believed| معه - with him,| متى - "When| نصر - [will] (the) help| الله - (of) Allah (come)| ألا - Unquestionably,| إن - [Indeed]| نصر - help| الله - (of) Allah| قريب - (is) near.| | ||||||
| 10 [2:217] | Yas-aloonaka AAani alshshahri alharamiqitalin feehi qul qitalun feehi kabeerun wasaddunAAan sabeeli Allahi wakufrun bihi waalmasjidi alharamiwa-ikhraju ahlihi minhu akbaru AAinda Allahi waalfitnatuakbaru mina alqatli wala yazaloona yuqatiloonakumhatta yaruddookum AAan deenikum ini istataAAoowaman yartadid minkum AAan deenihi fayamut wahuwa kafirunfaola-ika habitat aAAmaluhum fee alddunyawaal-akhirati waola-ika as-habualnnari hum feeha khalidoona | يسألونك عن الشهر الحرام قتال فيه قل قتال فيه كبير وصد عن سبيل الله وكفر به والمسجد الحرام وإخراج أهله منه أكبر عند الله والفتنة أكبر من القتل ولا يزالون يقاتلونكم حتى يردوكم عن دينكم إن استطاعوا ومن يرتدد منكم عن دينه فيمت وهو كافر فأولئك حبطت أعمالهم في الدنيا والآخرة وأولئك أصحاب النار هم فيها خالدون يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ قِتَالٍ فِيهِ قُلْ قِتَالٌ فِيهِ كَبِيرٌ وَصَدٌّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَكُفْرٌ بِهِ وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِهِ مِنْهُ أَكْبَرُ عِندَ اللّهِ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ وَلاَ يَزَالُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ حَتَّىَ يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَن دِينِكُمْ إِنِ اسْتَطَاعُواْ وَمَن يَرْتَدِدْ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِ فَيَمُتْ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| عن - about| الشهر - the month| الحرام - [the] sacred -| قتال - (concerning) fighting| فيه - in it.| قل - Say,| قتال - "Fighting| فيه - therein| كبير - (is) a great (sin);| وصد - but hindering (people)| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| وكفر - and disbelief| به - in Him| والمسجد - and (preventing access to) Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam,| وإخراج - and driving out| أهله - its people| منه - from it,| أكبر - (is) greater (sin)| عند - near| الله - Allah.| والفتنة - And [the] oppression| أكبر - (is) greater| من - than| القتل - [the] killing."| ولا - And not| يزالون - they will cease| يقاتلونكم - (to) fight with you| حتى - until| يردوكم - they turn you away| عن - from| دينكم - your religion,| إن - if| استطاعوا - they are able.| ومن - And whoever| يرتدد - turns away| منكم - among you| عن - from| دينه - his religion,| فيمت - then dies| وهو - while he| كافر - (is) a disbeliever| فأولئك - for those| حبطت - became worthless| أعمالهم - their deeds| في - in| الدنيا - the world| والآخرة - and the Hereafter.| وأولئك - And those| أصحاب - (are) companions| النار - (of) the Fire,| هم - they| فيها - in it| خالدون - (will) abide forever.| | ||||||
| 11 [2:221] | Wala tankihoo almushrikatihatta yu/minna walaamatun mu/minatun khayrun minmushrikatin walaw aAAjabatkum wala tunkihooalmushrikeena hatta yu/minoo walaAAabdun mu/minunkhayrun min mushrikin walaw aAAjabakum ola-ika yadAAoonaila alnnari waAllahu yadAAooila aljannati waalmaghfirati bi-ithnihiwayubayyinu ayatihi lilnnasilaAAallahum yatathakkaroona | ولا تنكحوا المشركات حتى يؤمن ولأمة مؤمنة خير من مشركة ولو أعجبتكم ولا تنكحوا المشركين حتى يؤمنوا ولعبد مؤمن خير من مشرك ولو أعجبكم أولئك يدعون إلى النار والله يدعو إلى الجنة والمغفرة بإذنه ويبين آياته للناس لعلهم يتذكرون وَلاَ تَنكِحُواْ الْمُشْرِكَاتِ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَّ وَلَأَمَةٌ مُّؤْمِنَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكَةٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ وَلاَ تُنكِحُواْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنُواْ وَلَعَبْدٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ خَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكُمْ أُوْلَـئِكَ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ وَاللّهُ يَدْعُوَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَالْمَغْفِرَةِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَيُبَيِّنُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تنكحوا - [you] marry| المشركات - [the] polytheistic women| حتى - until| يؤمن - they believe.| ولأمة - And a bondwoman| مؤمنة - (who is) believing| خير - (is) better| من - than| مشركة - a polytheistic woman| ولو - [and] even if| أعجبتكم - she pleases you.| ولا - And (do) not| تنكحوا - give in marriage (your women)| المشركين - (to) [the] polytheistic men| حتى - until| يؤمنوا - they believe,| ولعبد - and a bondman| مؤمن - (who is) believing| خير - (is) better| من - than| مشرك - a polytheistic man| ولو - [and] even if| أعجبكم - he pleases you.| أولئك - [Those]| يدعون - they invite| إلى - to| النار - the Fire,| والله - and Allah| يدعو - invites| إلى - to| الجنة - Paradise| والمغفرة - and [the] forgiveness| بإذنه - by His permission.| ويبين - And He makes clear| آياته - His Verses| للناس - for the people| لعلهم - so that they may| يتذكرون - take heed.| | ||||||
| 12 [2:222] | Wayas-aloonaka AAani almaheediqul huwa athan faiAAtaziloo alnnisaafee almaheedi wala taqraboohunna hattayathurna fa-itha tatahharna fa/toohunna min haythuamarakumu Allahu inna Allaha yuhibbu alttawwabeenawayuhibbu almutatahhireena | ويسألونك عن المحيض قل هو أذى فاعتزلوا النساء في المحيض ولا تقربوهن حتى يطهرن فإذا تطهرن فأتوهن من حيث أمركم الله إن الله يحب التوابين ويحب المتطهرين وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُواْ النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ وَلاَ تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّى يَطْهُرْنَ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ اللّهُ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ويسألونك - And they ask you| عن - about| المحيض - [the] menstruation.| قل - Say,| هو - "It| أذى - (is) a hurt,| فاعتزلوا - so keep away (from)| النساء - [the] women| في - during| المحيض - (their) [the] menstruation.| ولا - And (do) not| تقربوهن - approach them| حتى - until| يطهرن - they are cleansed.| فإذا - Then when| تطهرن - they are purified,| فأتوهن - then come to them| من - from| حيث - where| أمركم - has ordered you| الله - Allah."| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| يحب - loves| التوابين - those who turn in repentance| ويحب - and loves| المتطهرين - those who purify themselves.| | ||||||
| 13 [2:230] | Fa-in tallaqaha falatahillu lahu min baAAdu hatta tankihazawjan ghayrahu fa-in tallaqaha fala junahaAAalayhima an yatarajaAAa in thannaan yuqeema hudooda Allahi watilka hudooduAllahi yubayyinuha liqawmin yaAAlamoona | فإن طلقها فلا تحل له من بعد حتى تنكح زوجا غيره فإن طلقها فلا جناح عليهما أن يتراجعا إن ظنا أن يقيما حدود الله وتلك حدود الله يبينها لقوم يعلمون فَإِن طَلَّقَهَا فَلاَ تَحِلُّ لَهُ مِن بَعْدُ حَتَّى تَنكِحَ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ فَإِن طَلَّقَهَا فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَن يَتَرَاجَعَا إِن ظَنَّا أَن يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ يُبَيِّنُهَا لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فإن - Then if| طلقها - he divorces her,| فلا - then (she is) not| تحل - lawful| له - for him| من - from| بعد - after (that)| حتى - until| تنكح - she marries| زوجا - a spouse| غيره - other than him.| فإن - Then if| طلقها - he divorces her| فلا - then no| جناح - sin| عليهما - on them| أن - if| يتراجعا - they return to each other| إن - if| ظنا - they believe| أن - that| يقيما - they (will be able to) keep| حدود - (the) limits.| الله - (of) Allah.| وتلك - And these| حدود - (are the) limits.| الله - (of) Allah.| يبينها - He makes them clear| لقوم - to a people| يعلمون - who know.| | ||||||
| 14 [2:235] | Wala junaha AAalaykum feemaAAarradtum bihi min khitbati alnnisa-iaw aknantum fee anfusikum AAalima Allahu annakum satathkuroonahunnawalakin la tuwaAAidoohunna sirran illaan taqooloo qawlan maAAroofan wala taAAzimoo AAuqdata alnnikahihatta yablugha alkitabu ajalahu waiAAlamooanna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee anfusikum faihtharoohuwaiAAlamoo anna Allaha ghafoorun haleemun | ولا جناح عليكم فيما عرضتم به من خطبة النساء أو أكننتم في أنفسكم علم الله أنكم ستذكرونهن ولكن لا تواعدوهن سرا إلا أن تقولوا قولا معروفا ولا تعزموا عقدة النكاح حتى يبلغ الكتاب أجله واعلموا أن الله يعلم ما في أنفسكم فاحذروه واعلموا أن الله غفور حليم وَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا عَرَّضْتُم بِهِ مِنْ خِطْبَةِ النِّسَاءِ أَوْ أَكْنَنتُمْ فِي أَنفُسِكُمْ عَلِمَ اللّهُ أَنَّكُمْ سَتَذْكُرُونَهُنَّ وَلَـكِن لاَّ تُوَاعِدُوهُنَّ سِرًّا إِلاَّ أَن تَقُولُواْ قَوْلاً مَّعْرُوفًا وَلاَ تَعْزِمُواْ عُقْدَةَ النِّكَاحِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكِتَابُ أَجَلَهُ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي أَنفُسِكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (there is) no| جناح - blame| عليكم - upon you| فيما - in what| عرضتم - you hint| به - [with it]| من - of| خطبة - marriage proposal| النساء - [to] the women| أو - or| أكننتم - you conceal it| في - in| أنفسكم - yourselves.| علم - Knows| الله - Allah| أنكم - that you| ستذكرونهن - will mention them,| ولكن - [and] but| لا - (do) not| تواعدوهن - promise them (widows)| سرا - secretly| إلا - except| أن - that| تقولوا - you say| قولا - a saying| معروفا - honorable.| ولا - And (do) not| تعزموا - resolve (on)| عقدة - the knot| النكاح - (of) marriage| حتى - until| يبلغ - reaches| الكتاب - the prescribed term| أجله - its end.| واعلموا - And know| أن - that| الله - Allah| يعلم - knows| ما - what| في - (is) within| أنفسكم - yourselves| فاحذروه - so beware of Him.| واعلموا - And know| أن - that| الله - Allah| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| حليم - Most Forbearing.| | ||||||
| 15 [3:92] | Lan tanaloo albirra hattatunfiqoo mimma tuhibboona wama tunfiqoo minshay-in fa-inna Allaha bihi AAaleemun | لن تنالوا البر حتى تنفقوا مما تحبون وما تنفقوا من شيء فإن الله به عليم لَن تَنَالُواْ الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنفِقُواْ مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِن شَيْءٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ | |||||

| 16 [3:152] | Walaqad sadaqakumu AllahuwaAAdahu ith tahussoonahum bi-ithnihi hattaitha fashiltum watanazaAAtum fee al-amri waAAasaytummin baAAdi ma arakum ma tuhibboonaminkum man yureedu alddunya waminkum man yureedual-akhirata thumma sarafakum AAanhum liyabtaliyakumwalaqad AAafa AAankum waAllahu thoofadlin AAala almu/mineena | ولقد صدقكم الله وعده إذ تحسونهم بإذنه حتى إذا فشلتم وتنازعتم في الأمر وعصيتم من بعد ما أراكم ما تحبون منكم من يريد الدنيا ومنكم من يريد الآخرة ثم صرفكم عنهم ليبتليكم ولقد عفا عنكم والله ذو فضل على المؤمنين وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللّهُ وَعْدَهُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذْنِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الْآخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنكُمْ وَاللّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| صدقكم - fulfilled to you| الله - Allah| وعده - His promise,| إذ - when| تحسونهم - you were killing them| بإذنه - by His permission,| حتى - until| إذا - when| فشلتم - you lost courage| وتنازعتم - and you fell into dispute| في - concerning| الأمر - the order| وعصيتم - and you disobeyed| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| أراكم - He (had) shown you| ما - what| تحبون - you love.| منكم - Among you| من - (are some) who| يريد - desire| الدنيا - the world| ومنكم - and among you| من - (are some) who| يريد - desire| الآخرة - the Hereafter.| ثم - Then| صرفكم - He diverted you| عنهم - from them| ليبتليكم - so that He may test you.| ولقد - And surely| عفا - He forgave| عنكم - you.| والله - And Allah| ذو - (is the) Possessor| فضل - (of) Bounty| على - for| المؤمنين - the believers.| | ||||||
| 17 [3:179] | Ma kana Allahu liyatharaalmu/mineena AAala ma antum AAalayhi hattayameeza alkhabeetha mina alttayyibi wama kanaAllahu liyutliAAakum AAala alghaybi walakinnaAllaha yajtabee min rusulihi man yashao faaminoobiAllahi warusulihi wa-in tu/minoo watattaqoofalakum ajrun AAatheemun | ما كان الله ليذر المؤمنين على ما أنتم عليه حتى يميز الخبيث من الطيب وما كان الله ليطلعكم على الغيب ولكن الله يجتبي من رسله من يشاء فآمنوا بالله ورسله وإن تؤمنوا وتتقوا فلكم أجر عظيم مَّا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيَذَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَمِيزَ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَكِنَّ اللّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِن رُّسُلِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ فَآمِنُواْ بِاللّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَإِن تُؤْمِنُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَلَكُمْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||

| 18 [3:183] | Allatheena qaloo inna AllahaAAahida ilayna alla nu/mina lirasoolin hattaya/tiyana biqurbanin ta/kuluhu alnnaruqul qad jaakum rusulun min qablee bialbayyinatiwabiallathee qultum falima qataltumoohum in kutum sadiqeena | الذين قالوا إن الله عهد إلينا ألا نؤمن لرسول حتى يأتينا بقربان تأكله النار قل قد جاءكم رسل من قبلي بالبينات وبالذي قلتم فلم قتلتموهم إن كنتم صادقين الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلاَّ نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ قُلْ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِي بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالَّذِي قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| قالوا - said,| إن - "Indeed| الله - Allah| عهد - (has) taken promise| إلينا - from us| ألا - that not| نؤمن - we (should) believe| لرسول - in a Messenger| حتى - until| يأتينا - he brings to us| بقربان - a sacrifice -| تأكله - consumes it| النار - the fire."| قل - Say,| قد - "Surely| جاءكم - came to you| رسل - Messengers| من - from| قبلي - before me| بالبينات - with the clear Signs| وبالذي - and with what| قلتم - you speak.| فلم - So why| قتلتموهم - you killed them,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
| 19 [4:6] | Waibtaloo alyatama hattaitha balaghoo alnnikaha fa-in anastumminhum rushdan faidfaAAoo ilayhim amwalahum walata/kulooha israfan wabidaran an yakbaroowaman kana ghaniyyan falyastaAAfif waman kanafaqeeran falya/kul bialmaAAroofi fa-itha dafaAAtumilayhim amwalahum faashhidoo AAalayhim wakafa biAllahihaseeban | وابتلوا اليتامى حتى إذا بلغوا النكاح فإن آنستم منهم رشدا فادفعوا إليهم أموالهم ولا تأكلوها إسرافا وبدارا أن يكبروا ومن كان غنيا فليستعفف ومن كان فقيرا فليأكل بالمعروف فإذا دفعتم إليهم أموالهم فأشهدوا عليهم وكفى بالله حسيبا وَابْتَلُواْ الْيَتَامَى حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغُواْ النِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ آنَسْتُم مِّنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَادْفَعُواْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَلاَ تَأْكُلُوهَا إِسْرَافًا وَبِدَارًا أَن يَكْبَرُواْ وَمَن كَانَ غَنِيًّا فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ وَمَن كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِذَا دَفَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فَأَشْهِدُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَفَى بِاللّهِ حَسِيبًا | |||||
| Words | |وابتلوا - And test| اليتامى - the orphans| حتى - until| إذا - [when]| بلغوا - they reach[ed]| النكاح - (the age of) marriage,| فإن - then if| آنستم - you perceive| منهم - in them| رشدا - sound judgement| فادفعوا - then deliver| إليهم - to them| أموالهم - their wealth.| ولا - And (do) not| تأكلوها - eat it| إسرافا - extravagantly| وبدارا - and hastily| أن - (fearing) that| يكبروا - they will grow up.| ومن - And whoever| كان - is| غنيا - rich| فليستعفف - then he should refrain,| ومن - and whoever| كان - is| فقيرا - poor| فليأكل - then let him eat (of it)| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| فإذا - Then when| دفعتم - you deliver| إليهم - to them| أموالهم - their wealth| فأشهدوا - then take witnesses| عليهم - on them.| وكفى - And is sufficient| بالله - Allah| حسيبا - (as) a Reckoner.| | ||||||
| 20 [4:15] | Waallatee ya/teena alfahishatamin nisa-ikum faistashhidoo AAalayhinna arbaAAatanminkum fa-in shahidoo faamsikoohunna fee albuyooti hattayatawaffahunna almawtu aw yajAAala Allahu lahunnasabeelan | واللاتي يأتين الفاحشة من نسائكم فاستشهدوا عليهن أربعة منكم فإن شهدوا فأمسكوهن في البيوت حتى يتوفاهن الموت أو يجعل الله لهن سبيلا وَاللاَّتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعةً مِّنكُمْ فَإِن شَهِدُواْ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ حَتَّى يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلاً | |||||
