| 1 [2:15] | Allahu yastahzi-o bihim wayamudduhumfee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona |  الله يستهزئ بهم ويمدهم في طغيانهم يعمهوناللّهُ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ | |||||
| Words | |الله - Allah| يستهزئ - mocks| بهم - at them,| ويمدهم - and prolongs them| في - in| طغيانهم - their transgression,| يعمهون - they wander blindly.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:166] | Ith tabarraa allatheenaittubiAAoo mina allatheena ittabaAAoo waraawoo alAAathabawataqattaAAat bihimu al-asbabu | إذ تبرأ الذين اتبعوا من الذين اتبعوا ورأوا العذاب وتقطعت بهم الأسباب إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُواْ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُواْ وَرَأَوُاْ الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الأَسْبَابُ | |||||

| 3 [3:170] | Fariheena bima atahumuAllahu min fadlihi wayastabshiroona biallatheenalam yalhaqoo bihim min khalfihim alla khawfunAAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona | فرحين بما آتاهم الله من فضله ويستبشرون بالذين لم يلحقوا بهم من خلفهم ألا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُواْ بِهِم مِّنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلاَّ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فرحين - Rejoicing| بما - in what| آتاهم - bestowed them| الله - Allah| من - of| فضله - His Bounty,| ويستبشرون - and they receive good tidings| بالذين - about those who| لم - (have) not| يلحقوا - yet joined| بهم - [with] them| من - [from]| خلفهم - (but are) left behind -| ألا - that (there will be) no| خوف - fear| عليهم - on them| ولا - and not| هم - they| يحزنون - will grieve.| | ||||||
| 4 [4:39] | Wamatha AAalayhim law amanoobiAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiriwaanfaqoo mimma razaqahumu Allahu wakana Allahubihim AAaleeman | وماذا عليهم لو آمنوا بالله واليوم الآخر وأنفقوا مما رزقهم الله وكان الله بهم عليما وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوْ آمَنُواْ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَنفَقُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ اللّهُ وَكَانَ اللّهُ بِهِم عَلِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وماذا - And what| عليهم - (is) against them| لو - if| آمنوا - they believed| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - the Last| وأنفقوا - and spent| مما - from what| رزقهم - (has) provided them| الله - Allah?| وكان - And is| الله - Allah| بهم - about them| عليما - All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 5 [4:42] | Yawma-ithin yawaddu allatheenakafaroo waAAasawoo alrrasoola law tusawwabihimu al-ardu wala yaktumoona Allaha hadeethan | يومئذ يود الذين كفروا وعصوا الرسول لو تسوى بهم الأرض ولا يكتمون الله حديثا يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَعَصَوُاْ الرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّى بِهِمُ الْأَرْضُ وَلاَ يَكْتُمُونَ اللّهَ حَدِيثًا | |||||
| Words | |يومئذ - (On) that Day| يود - will wish| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| وعصوا - and disobeyed| الرسول - the Messenger| لو - if| تسوى - was leveled| بهم - with them| الأرض - the earth| ولا - and not| يكتمون - they will (be able to) hide| الله - (from) Allah| حديثا - (any) statement.| | ||||||
| 6 [7:171] | Wa-ith nataqna aljabalafawqahum kaannahu thullatun wathannooannahu waqiAAun bihim khuthoo ma ataynakumbiquwwatin waothkuroo ma feehi laAAallakumtattaqoona | وإذ نتقنا الجبل فوقهم كأنه ظلة وظنوا أنه واقع بهم خذوا ما آتيناكم بقوة واذكروا ما فيه لعلكم تتقون وَإِذ نَتَقْنَا الْجَبَلَ فَوْقَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُ ظُلَّةٌ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُواْ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| نتقنا - We raised| الجبل - the mountain| فوقهم - above them| كأنه - as if it was| ظلة - a canopy| وظنوا - and they thought| أنه - that it| واقع - (would) fall| بهم - upon them,| خذوا - (We said), "Take| ما - what| آتيناكم - We have given you| بقوة - with strength| واذكروا - and remember| ما - what| فيه - (is) in it| لعلكم - so that you may| تتقون - fear Allah."| | ||||||
| 7 [8:57] | Fa-imma tathqafannahum fee alharbifasharrid bihim man khalfahum laAAallahum yaththakkaroona | فإما تثقفنهم في الحرب فشرد بهم من خلفهم لعلهم يذكرون فَإِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِم مَّنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فإما - So if| تثقفنهم - you gain dominance over them| في - in| الحرب - the war,| فشرد - disperse| بهم - by them| من - (those) who| خلفهم - (are) behind them,| لعلهم - so that they may| يذكرون - take heed.| | ||||||
| 8 [9:117] | Laqad taba Allahu AAalaalnnabiyyi waalmuhajireena waal-ansariallatheena ittabaAAoohu fee saAAati alAAusrati minbaAAdi ma kada yazeeghu quloobu fareeqin minhumthumma taba AAalayhim innahu bihim raoofun raheemun | لقد تاب الله على النبي والمهاجرين والأنصار الذين اتبعوه في ساعة العسرة من بعد ما كاد يزيغ قلوب فريق منهم ثم تاب عليهم إنه بهم رءوف رحيم لَقَد تَّابَ الله عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالأَنصَارِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ فِي سَاعَةِ الْعُسْرَةِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍ مِّنْهُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّهُ بِهِمْ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |لقد - Verily,| تاب - Allah turned (in mercy)| الله - Allah turned (in mercy)| على - to| النبي - the Prophet,| والمهاجرين - and the emigrants,| والأنصار - and the helpers| الذين - [those] who| اتبعوه - followed him,| في - in| ساعة - (the) hour| العسرة - (of) difficulty| من - after| بعد - after| ما - [what]| كاد - had nearly| يزيغ - deviated| قلوب - (the) hearts| فريق - (of) a party| منهم - of them,| ثم - then| تاب - He turned (in mercy)| عليهم - to them.| إنه - Indeed, He| بهم - to them| رءوف - (is) Most Kind,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 9 [10:22] | Huwa allathee yusayyirukum feealbarri waalbahri hatta ithakuntum fee alfulki wajarayna bihim bireehin tayyibatinwafarihoo biha jaat-ha reehunAAasifun wajaahumu almawju min kulli makaninwathannoo annahum oheeta bihimdaAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeenala-in anjaytana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena | هو الذي يسيركم في البر والبحر حتى إذا كنتم في الفلك وجرين بهم بريح طيبة وفرحوا بها جاءتها ريح عاصف وجاءهم الموج من كل مكان وظنوا أنهم أحيط بهم دعوا الله مخلصين له الدين لئن أنجيتنا من هذه لنكونن من الشاكرين هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُواْ بِهَا جَاءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوُاْ اللّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَـذِهِ لَنَكُونَنِّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |هو - He| الذي - (is) the One Who| يسيركم - enables you to travel| في - in| البر - the land| والبحر - and the sea,| حتى - until,| إذا - when| كنتم - you are| في - in| الفلك - the ships| وجرين - and they sail| بهم - with them| بريح - with a wind| طيبة - good,| وفرحوا - and they rejoice| بها - therein| جاءتها - comes to it| ريح - a wind| عاصف - stormy,| وجاءهم - and comes to them| الموج - the waves| من - from| كل - every| مكان - place,| وظنوا - and they assume| أنهم - that they| أحيط - are surrounded| بهم - with them.| دعوا - They call| الله - Allah| مخلصين - sincerely| له - to Him| الدين - (in) the religion,| لئن - (saying), "If| أنجيتنا - You save us| من - from| هذه - this,| لنكونن - surely we will be| من - among| الشاكرين - the thankful."| | ||||||
| 10 [11:8] | Wala-in akhkharna AAanhumu alAAathabaila ommatin maAAdoodatin layaqoolunna ma yahbisuhuala yawma ya/teehim laysa masroofan AAanhum wahaqabihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona | ولئن أخرنا عنهم العذاب إلى أمة معدودة ليقولن ما يحبسه ألا يوم يأتيهم ليس مصروفا عنهم وحاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِلَى أُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُودَةٍ لَّيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُ أَلاَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| أخرنا - We delay| عنهم - from them| العذاب - the punishment| إلى - for| أمة - a time| معدودة - determined,| ليقولن - they will surely say,| ما - "What| يحبسه - detains it?"| ألا - No doubt!| يوم - (On) the Day| يأتيهم - it comes to them| ليس - not| مصروفا - (will be) averted| عنهم - from them| وحاق - and will surround| بهم - them| ما - what| كانوا - they used (to)| به - mock at [it].| يستهزئون - mock at [it].| | ||||||
| 11 [11:42] | Wahiya tajree bihim fee mawjin kaaljibaliwanada noohunu ibnahu wakana feemaAAzilin ya bunayya irkab maAAana walatakun maAAa alkafireena | وهي تجري بهم في موج كالجبال ونادى نوح ابنه وكان في معزل يا بني اركب معنا ولا تكن مع الكافرين وَهِيَ تَجْرِي بِهِمْ فِي مَوْجٍ كَالْجِبَالِ وَنَادَى نُوحٌ ابْنَهُ وَكَانَ فِي مَعْزِلٍ يَا بُنَيَّ ارْكَب مَّعَنَا وَلاَ تَكُن مَّعَ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وهي - And it| تجري - sailed| بهم - with them| في - on| موج - the waves| كالجبال - like mountains,| ونادى - and Nuh called out| نوح - and Nuh called out| ابنه - (to) his son,| وكان - and he was| في - [in]| معزل - apart,| يا - O| بني - "O my son!| اركب - Embark| معنا - with us| ولا - and (do) not| تكن - be| مع - with| الكافرين - the disbelievers."| | ||||||
| 12 [11:77] | Walamma jaat rusulunalootan see-a bihim wadaqa bihim tharAAan waqalahatha yawmun AAaseebun | ولما جاءت رسلنا لوطا سيء بهم وضاق بهم ذرعا وقال هذا يوم عصيب وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَـذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| جاءت - came| رسلنا - Our messengers| لوطا - (to) Lut,| سيء - he was distressed| بهم - for them| وضاق - and felt straitened| بهم - for them| ذرعا - (and) uneasy,| وقال - and said,| هذا - "This| يوم - (is) a day| عصيب - distressful."| | ||||||
| 13 [12:83] | Qala bal sawwalat lakum anfusukumamran fasabrun jameelun AAasa Allahu anya/tiyanee bihim jameeAAan innahu huwa alAAaleemu alhakeemu | قال بل سولت لكم أنفسكم أمرا فصبر جميل عسى الله أن يأتيني بهم جميعا إنه هو العليم الحكيم قَالَ بَلْ سَوَّلَتْ لَكُمْ أَنفُسُكُمْ أَمْرًا فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ عَسَى اللّهُ أَن يَأْتِيَنِي بِهِمْ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| بل - "Nay,| سولت - have enticed| لكم - you| أنفسكم - your souls| أمرا - something,| فصبر - so patience| جميل - (is) beautiful.| عسى - Perhaps| الله - Allah,| أن - will bring them to me| يأتيني - will bring them to me| بهم - will bring them to me| جميعا - all.| إنه - Indeed, He| هو - He| العليم - (is) the All-Knower,| الحكيم - All-Wise."| | ||||||
| 14 [14:45] | Wasakantum fee masakini allatheenathalamoo anfusahum watabayyana lakum kayfa faAAalnabihim wadarabna lakumu al-amthala | وسكنتم في مساكن الذين ظلموا أنفسهم وتبين لكم كيف فعلنا بهم وضربنا لكم الأمثال وَسَكَنتُمْ فِي مَسَـاكِنِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ فَعَلْنَا بِهِمْ وَضَرَبْنَا لَكُمُ الْأَمْثَالَ | |||||
| Words | |وسكنتم - And you dwelt| في - in| مساكن - the dwellings| الذين - (of) those who| ظلموا - wronged| أنفسهم - themselves,| وتبين - and it had become clear| لكم - to you| كيف - how| فعلنا - We dealt| بهم - with them,| وضربنا - and We put forth| لكم - for you| الأمثال - the examples."| | ||||||
| 15 [16:34] | Faasabahum sayyi-atu maAAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihiyastahzi-oona | فأصابهم سيئات ما عملوا وحاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ | |||||

| 16 [16:45] | Afaamina allatheena makaroo alssayyi-atian yakhsifa Allahu bihimu al-arda aw ya/tiyahumualAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona | أفأمن الذين مكروا السيئات أن يخسف الله بهم الأرض أو يأتيهم العذاب من حيث لا يشعرون أَفَأَمِنَ الَّذِينَ مَكَرُواْ السَّيِّئَاتِ أَن يَخْسِفَ اللّهُ بِهِمُ الْأَرْضَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أفأمن - Do then feel secure| الذين - those who| مكروا - plotted| السيئات - the evil deeds| أن - that| يخسف - Allah will cave| الله - Allah will cave| بهم - with them| الأرض - the earth| أو - or| يأتيهم - will come to them| العذاب - the punishment| من - from| حيث - where| لا - not| يشعرون - they perceive?| | ||||||
| 17 [18:21] | Wakathalika aAAtharnaAAalayhim liyaAAlamoo anna waAAda Allahi haqqunwaanna alsaAAata la rayba feeha ithyatanazaAAoona baynahum amrahum faqaloo ibnooAAalayhim bunyanan rabbuhum aAAlamu bihim qala allatheenaghalaboo AAala amrihim lanattakhithanna AAalayhimmasjidan | وكذلك أعثرنا عليهم ليعلموا أن وعد الله حق وأن الساعة لا ريب فيها إذ يتنازعون بينهم أمرهم فقالوا ابنوا عليهم بنيانا ربهم أعلم بهم قال الذين غلبوا على أمرهم لنتخذن عليهم مسجدا وَكَذَلِكَ أَعْثَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهَا إِذْ يَتَنَازَعُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَمْرَهُمْ فَقَالُوا ابْنُوا عَلَيْهِم بُنْيَانًا رَّبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ قَالَ الَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا عَلَى أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًا | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And similarly,| أعثرنا - We made known| عليهم - about them| ليعلموا - that they might know| أن - that| وعد - (the) Promise| الله - (of) Allah| حق - (is) true,| وأن - and that| الساعة - (about) the Hour| لا - (there is) no| ريب - doubt| فيها - in it.| إذ - When| يتنازعون - they disputed| بينهم - among themselves| أمرهم - about their affair| فقالوا - and they said,| ابنوا - "Construct| عليهم - over them| بنيانا - a structure.| ربهم - Their Lord| أعلم - knows best| بهم - about them."| قال - Said| الذين - those who| غلبوا - prevailed| على - in| أمرهم - their matter,| لنتخذن - "Surely we will take| عليهم - over them| مسجدا - a place of worship."| | ||||||
| 18 [18:29] | Waquli alhaqqu min rabbikum faman shaafalyu/min waman shaa falyakfur inna aAAtadnalilththalimeena naran ahatabihim suradiquha wa-in yastagheethoo yughathoobima-in kaalmuhli yashwee alwujooha bi/sa alshsharabuwasaat murtafaqan | وقل الحق من ربكم فمن شاء فليؤمن ومن شاء فليكفر إنا أعتدنا للظالمين نارا أحاط بهم سرادقها وإن يستغيثوا يغاثوا بماء كالمهل يشوي الوجوه بئس الشراب وساءت مرتفقا وَقُلِ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَن شَاءَ فَلْيُؤْمِن وَمَن شَاءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِهِمْ سُرَادِقُهَا وَإِن يَسْتَغِيثُوا يُغَاثُوا بِمَاءٍ كَالْمُهْلِ يَشْوِي الْوُجُوهَ بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ وَسَاءَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا | |||||
| Words | |وقل - And say,| الحق - "The truth| من - (is) from| ربكم - your Lord,| فمن - so whoever| شاء - wills -| فليؤمن - let him believe| ومن - and whoever| شاء - wills -| فليكفر - let him disbelieve."| إنا - Indeed, We| أعتدنا - have prepared| للظالمين - for the wrongdoers| نارا - a Fire,| أحاط - will surround| بهم - them| سرادقها - its walls.| وإن - And if| يستغيثوا - they call for relief,| يغاثوا - they will be relieved| بماء - with water| كالمهل - like molten brass,| يشوي - (which) scalds| الوجوه - the faces.| بئس - Wretched| الشراب - (is) the drink,| وساءت - and evil| مرتفقا - (is) the resting place.| | ||||||
| 19 [19:38] | AsmiAA bihim waabsir yawma ya/toonanalakini alththalimoona alyawmafee dalalin mubeenin | أسمع بهم وأبصر يوم يأتوننا لكن الظالمون اليوم في ضلال مبين أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا لَكِنِ الظَّالِمُونَ الْيَوْمَ فِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |أسمع - How they will hear!| بهم - How they will hear!| وأبصر - and how (they will) see!| يوم - (the) Day| يأتوننا - they will come to Us,| لكن - but| الظالمون - the wrongdoers| اليوم - today| في - (are) in| ضلال - error| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 20 [21:31] | WajaAAalna fee al-ardi rawasiyaan tameeda bihim wajaAAalna feeha fijajansubulan laAAallahum yahtadoona | وجعلنا في الأرض رواسي أن تميد بهم وجعلنا فيها فجاجا سبلا لعلهم يهتدون وَجَعَلْنَا فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
