| 1 [2:253] | Tilka alrrusulu faddalnabaAAdahum AAala baAAdin minhum man kallamaAllahu warafaAAa baAAdahum darajatin waataynaAAeesa ibna maryama albayyinati waayyadnahubiroohi alqudusi walaw shaa Allahu maiqtatala allatheena min baAAdihim min baAAdi ma jaat-humualbayyinatu walakini ikhtalafoo faminhum man amanawaminhum man kafara walaw shaa Allahu maiqtataloo walakinna Allaha yafAAalu mayureedu |  تلك الرسل فضلنا بعضهم على بعض منهم من كلم الله ورفع بعضهم درجات وآتينا عيسى ابن مريم البينات وأيدناه بروح القدس ولو شاء الله ما اقتتل الذين من بعدهم من بعد ما جاءتهم البينات ولكن اختلفوا فمنهم من آمن ومنهم من كفر ولو شاء الله ما اقتتلوا ولكن الله يفعل ما يريدتِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ مِّنْهُم مَّن كَلَّمَ اللّهُ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَهُمْ دَرَجَاتٍ وَآتَيْنَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا اقْتَتَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن بَعْدِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ وَلَـكِنِ اخْتَلَفُواْ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ آمَنَ وَمِنْهُم مَّن كَفَرَ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا اقْتَتَلُواْ وَلَـكِنَّ اللّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ | |||||
| Words | |تلك - These| الرسل - (are) the Messengers| فضلنا - We (have) preferred| بعضهم - some of them| على - over| بعض - others.| منهم - Among them| من - (were those with) whom| كلم - spoke| الله - Allah,| ورفع - and He raised| بعضهم - some of them| درجات - (in) degrees.| وآتينا - And We gave| عيسى - Isa,| ابن - son| مريم - (of) Maryam,| البينات - the clear proofs| وأيدناه - and We supported him| بروح - with Spirit| القدس - [the] Holy.| ولو - And if| شاء - (had) willed| الله - Allah| ما - not| اقتتل - (would have) fought each other| الذين - those who| من - (came) from| بعدهم - after them,| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءتهم - came to them| البينات - the clear proofs.| ولكن - [And] but| اختلفوا - they differed,| فمنهم - [so] of them| من - (are some) who| آمن - believed| ومنهم - and of them| من - (are some) who| كفر - denied.| ولو - And if| شاء - (had) willed| الله - Allah| ما - not| اقتتلوا - they (would have) fought each other,| ولكن - [and] but| الله - Allah| يفعل - does| ما - what| يريد - He intends.| | ||||||
| 2 [6:6] | Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihimmin qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lamnumakkin lakum waarsalna alssamaa AAalayhimmidraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na minbaAAdihim qarnan akhareena | ألم يروا كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من قرن مكناهم في الأرض ما لم نمكن لكم وأرسلنا السماء عليهم مدرارا وجعلنا الأنهار تجري من تحتهم فأهلكناهم بذنوبهم وأنشأنا من بعدهم قرنا آخرين أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Did not| يروا - they see| كم - how many| أهلكنا - We destroyed| من - from| قبلهم - before them| من - of| قرن - generations| مكناهم - We had established them| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ما - what| لم - not| نمكن - We (have) established| لكم - for you?| وأرسلنا - And We sent| السماء - (rain from) the sky| عليهم - upon them| مدرارا - showering abundantly| وجعلنا - and We made| الأنهار - the rivers| تجري - flow| من - from| تحتهم - underneath them.| فأهلكناهم - Then We destroyed them| بذنوبهم - for their sins| وأنشأنا - and We raised| من - from| بعدهم - after them| قرنا - generations,| آخرين - other.| | ||||||
| 3 [7:103] | Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosabi-ayatina ila firAAawna wamala-ihifathalamoo biha faonuthurkayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena | ثم بعثنا من بعدهم موسى بآياتنا إلى فرعون وملئه فظلموا بها فانظر كيف كان عاقبة المفسدين ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَى بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَظَلَمُواْ بِهَا فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| بعثنا - We sent| من - from| بعدهم - after them| موسى - Musa| بآياتنا - with Our Signs| إلى - to| فرعون - Firaun| وملئه - and his chiefs,| فظلموا - But they were unjust| بها - to them.| فانظر - So see| كيف - how| كان - was| عاقبة - (the) end| المفسدين - (of) the corrupters.| | ||||||
| 4 [7:169] | Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun warithooalkitaba ya/khuthoona AAarada hathaal-adna wayaqooloona sayughfaru lana wa-in ya/tihimAAaradun mithluhu ya/khuthoohu alam yu/khathAAalayhim meethaqu alkitabi an la yaqoolooAAala Allahi illa alhaqqa wadarasoo mafeehi waalddaru al-akhiratu khayrun lillatheenayattaqoona afala taAAqiloona | فخلف من بعدهم خلف ورثوا الكتاب يأخذون عرض هذا الأدنى ويقولون سيغفر لنا وإن يأتهم عرض مثله يأخذوه ألم يؤخذ عليهم ميثاق الكتاب أن لا يقولوا على الله إلا الحق ودرسوا ما فيه والدار الآخرة خير للذين يتقون أفلا تعقلون فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ وَرِثُواْ الْكِتَابَ يَأْخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هَـذَا الْأَدْنَى وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغْفَرُ لَنَا وَإِن يَأْتِهِمْ عَرَضٌ مِّثْلُهُ يَأْخُذُوهُ أَلَمْ يُؤْخَذْ عَلَيْهِم مِّيثَاقُ الْكِتَابِ أَن لاَّ يِقُولُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِلاَّ الْحَقَّ وَدَرَسُواْ مَا فِيهِ وَالدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فخلف - Then succeeded| من - from| بعدهم - after them| خلف - successors| ورثوا - (who) inherited| الكتاب - the Book| يأخذون - taking| عرض - goods| هذا - (of) this| الأدنى - the lower (life)| ويقولون - and they say,| سيغفر - "It will be forgiven| لنا - for us."| وإن - And if| يأتهم - comes to them| عرض - goods| مثله - similar to it| يأخذوه - they will take it.| ألم - Was not| يؤخذ - taken| عليهم - on them| ميثاق - Covenant| الكتاب - (of) the Book| أن - that| لا - not| يقولوا - they will say| على - about| الله - Allah| إلا - except| الحق - the truth| ودرسوا - while they studied| ما - what| فيه - (is) in it?| والدار - And the home| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter| خير - (is) better| للذين - for those who| يتقون - fear Allah.| أفلا - So will not| تعقلون - you use intellect?| | ||||||
| 5 [7:173] | Aw taqooloo innama ashraka abaonamin qablu wakunna thurriyyatan min baAAdihimafatuhlikuna bima faAAala almubtiloona | أو تقولوا إنما أشرك آباؤنا من قبل وكنا ذرية من بعدهم أفتهلكنا بما فعل المبطلون أَوْ تَقُولُواْ إِنَّمَا أَشْرَكَ آبَاؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| تقولوا - you say,| إنما - "Only| أشرك - partners (were) associated (with Allah)| آباؤنا - (by) our forefathers| من - from| قبل - before (us)| وكنا - and we are| ذرية - descendants| من - from| بعدهم - after them.| أفتهلكنا - So will You destroy us| بما - for what| فعل - did| المبطلون - the falsifiers?"| | ||||||
| 6 [10:14] | Thumma jaAAalnakum khala-ifafee al-ardi min baAAdihim linanthura kayfataAAmaloona | ثم جعلناكم خلائف في الأرض من بعدهم لننظر كيف تعملون ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ خَلاَئِفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِن بَعْدِهِم لِنَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| جعلناكم - We made you| خلائف - successors| في - in| الأرض - the earth| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| لننظر - so that We may see| كيف - how| تعملون - you do.| | ||||||
| 7 [10:75] | Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosawaharoona ila firAAawna wamala-ihi bi-ayatinafaistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeena | ثم بعثنا من بعدهم موسى وهارون إلى فرعون وملئه بآياتنا فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما مجرمين ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَى وَهَارُونَ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ بِآيَاتِنَا فَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| بعثنا - We sent| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| موسى - Musa| وهارون - and Harun| إلى - to| فرعون - Firaun| وملئه - and his chiefs| بآياتنا - with Our Signs,| فاستكبروا - but they were arrogant| وكانوا - and were| قوما - a people| مجرمين - criminal.| | ||||||
| 8 [14:9] | Alam ya/tikum nabao allatheena minqablikum qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waallatheenamin baAAdihim la yaAAlamuhum illa Allahu jaat-humrusuluhum bialbayyinati faraddoo aydiyahum fee afwahihimwaqaloo inna kafarna bima orsiltumbihi wa-inna lafee shakkin mimma tadAAoonanailayhi mureebun | ألم يأتكم نبأ الذين من قبلكم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود والذين من بعدهم لا يعلمهم إلا الله جاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات فردوا أيديهم في أفواههم وقالوا إنا كفرنا بما أرسلتم به وإنا لفي شك مما تدعوننا إليه مريب أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلاَّ اللّهُ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرَدُّواْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَقَالُواْ إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ وَإِنَّا لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَنَا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Has not| يأتكم - come to you| نبأ - (the) news| الذين - (of) those who| من - (were) before you,| قبلكم - (were) before you,| قوم - the people| نوح - of Nuh,| وعاد - and Aad| وثمود - and Thamud| والذين - and those who| من - (were) after them?| بعدهم - (were) after them?| لا - None| يعلمهم - knows them| إلا - except| الله - Allah.| جاءتهم - Came to them| رسلهم - their Messengers| بالبينات - with clear proofs| فردوا - but they returned| أيديهم - their hands| في - in| أفواههم - their mouths| وقالوا - and they said,| إنا - "Indeed we| كفرنا - [we] disbelieve| بما - in what| أرسلتم - you have been sent| به - with [it],| وإنا - and indeed, we| لفي - (are) surely in| شك - doubt| مما - about what| تدعوننا - you invite us| إليه - to it| مريب - suspicious."| | ||||||
| 9 [14:14] | Walanuskinannakumu al-arda minbaAAdihim thalika liman khafa maqamee wakhafawaAAeedi | ولنسكننكم الأرض من بعدهم ذلك لمن خاف مقامي وخاف وعيد وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّـكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامِي وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ | |||||
| Words | |ولنسكننكم - And surely We will make you dwell| الأرض - (in) the land| من - after them.| بعدهم - after them.| ذلك - That| لمن - (is) for whoever| خاف - fears| مقامي - standing before Me| وخاف - and fears| وعيد - My Threat."| | ||||||
| 10 [19:59] | Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun adaAAooalssalata waittabaAAoo alshshahawatifasawfa yalqawna ghayyan | فخلف من بعدهم خلف أضاعوا الصلاة واتبعوا الشهوات فسوف يلقون غيا فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَاتَّبَعُواْ الشَّهَوَاتِ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا | |||||
| Words | |فخلف - Then succeeded| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| خلف - successors,| أضاعوا - who neglected| الصلاة - the prayer| واتبعوا - and they followed| الشهوات - the lusts| فسوف - so soon,| يلقون - they will meet| غيا - evil| | ||||||
| 11 [23:31] | Thumma ansha/na min baAAdihim qarnan akhareena | ثم أنشأنا من بعدهم قرنا آخرين ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ | |||||

| 13 [28:58] | Wakam ahlakna min qaryatin batiratmaAAeeshataha fatilka masakinuhum lam tuskan minbaAAdihim illa qaleelan wakunna nahnu alwaritheena | وكم أهلكنا من قرية بطرت معيشتها فتلك مساكنهم لم تسكن من بعدهم إلا قليلا وكنا نحن الوارثين وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أهلكنا - We have destroyed| من - of| قرية - a town| بطرت - which exulted,| معيشتها - (in) its means of livelihood.| فتلك - And these| مساكنهم - (are) their dwellings| لم - not| تسكن - have been inhabited| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| إلا - except| قليلا - a little.| وكنا - And indeed, [We]| نحن - We| الوارثين - (are) the inheritors.| | ||||||
| 14 [40:5] | Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinwaal-ahzabu min baAAdihim wahammat kulluommatin birasoolihim liya/khuthoohu wajadaloo bialbatililiyudhidoo bihi alhaqqa faakhathtuhumfakayfa kana AAiqabi | كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح والأحزاب من بعدهم وهمت كل أمة برسولهم ليأخذوه وجادلوا بالباطل ليدحضوا به الحق فأخذتهم فكيف كان عقاب كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَالْأَحْزَابُ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ وَجَادَلُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |كذبت - Denied| قبلهم - before them| قوم - (the) people| نوح - (of) Nuh| والأحزاب - and the factions| من - after them,| بعدهم - after them,| وهمت - and plotted| كل - every| أمة - nation| برسولهم - against their Messenger,| ليأخذوه - to seize him,| وجادلوا - and they disputed| بالباطل - by falsehood| ليدحضوا - to refute| به - thereby| الحق - the truth.| فأخذتهم - So I seized them.| فكيف - Then how| كان - was| عقاب - My penalty?| | ||||||
| 15 [40:31] | Mithla da/bi qawmi noohin waAAadinwathamooda waallatheena min baAAdihim wamaAllahu yureedu thulman lilAAibadi | مثل دأب قوم نوح وعاد وثمود والذين من بعدهم وما الله يريد ظلما للعباد مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعِبَادِ | |||||
| Words | |مثل - Like| دأب - (the) plight| قوم - (of the) people| نوح - (of) Nuh| وعاد - and Aad| وثمود - and Thamud| والذين - and those| من - after them.| بعدهم - after them.| وما - And Allah (does) not| الله - And Allah (does) not| يريد - want| ظلما - injustice| للعباد - for (His) slaves.| | ||||||
| 16 [42:14] | Wama tafarraqoo illa minbaAAdi ma jaahumu alAAilmu baghyan baynahum walawlakalimatun sabaqat min rabbika ila ajalin musamman laqudiyabaynahum wa-inna allatheena oorithoo alkitaba minbaAAdihim lafee shakkin minhu mureebin | وما تفرقوا إلا من بعد ما جاءهم العلم بغيا بينهم ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك إلى أجل مسمى لقضي بينهم وإن الذين أورثوا الكتاب من بعدهم لفي شك منه مريب وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى لَّقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُورِثُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| تفرقوا - they became divided| إلا - until| من - after| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءهم - came to them| العلم - the knowledge| بغيا - (out of) rivalry,| بينهم - among them.| ولولا - And if not| كلمة - (for) a word| سبقت - (that) preceded| من - from| ربك - your Lord| إلى - for| أجل - a term| مسمى - specified,| لقضي - surely, it (would have) been settled| بينهم - between them.| وإن - And indeed,| الذين - those who| أورثوا - were made to inherit| الكتاب - the Book| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| لفي - (are) surely in| شك - doubt| منه - concerning it -| مريب - disquieting.| | ||||||
| 17 [59:10] | Waallatheena jaoo minbaAAdihim yaqooloona rabbana ighfir lana wali-ikhwaninaallatheena sabaqoona bial-eemani walatajAAal fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanoorabbana innaka raoofun raheemun | والذين جاءوا من بعدهم يقولون ربنا اغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان ولا تجعل في قلوبنا غلا للذين آمنوا ربنا إنك رءوف رحيم وَالَّذِينَ جَاؤُوا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيْمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
