| 1 [22:47] | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwalan yukhlifa Allahu waAAdahu wa-inna yawman AAindarabbika kaalfi sanatin mimma taAAuddoona |  ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولن يخلف الله وعده وإن يوما عند ربك كألف سنة مما تعدونوَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخْلِفَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ | |||||
| Words | |ويستعجلونك - And they ask you to hasten| بالعذاب - the punishment.| ولن - But never will| يخلف - Allah fail| الله - Allah fail| وعده - (in) His Promise.| وإن - And indeed,| يوما - a day| عند - with| ربك - your Lord| كألف - (is) like a thousand| سنة - year(s)| مما - of what| تعدون - you count.| | ||||||
| 2 [23:64] | Hatta itha akhathnamutrafeehim bialAAathabi itha hum yaj-aroona | حتى إذا أخذنا مترفيهم بالعذاب إذا هم يجأرون حَتَّى إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم بِالْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْأَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until| إذا - when| أخذنا - We seize| مترفيهم - their affluent ones| بالعذاب - with the punishment,| إذا - behold!| هم - They| يجأرون - cry for help.| | ||||||
| 3 [23:76] | Walaqad akhathnahum bialAAathabifama istakanoo lirabbihim wama yatadarraAAoona | ولقد أخذناهم بالعذاب فما استكانوا لربهم وما يتضرعون وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily| أخذناهم - We seized them| بالعذاب - with the punishment| فما - but not| استكانوا - they submit| لربهم - to their Lord| وما - and not| يتضرعون - they supplicate humbly| | ||||||
| 4 [29:53] | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwalawla ajalun musamman lajaahumu alAAathabuwalaya/tiyannahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona | ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولولا أجل مسمى لجاءهم العذاب وليأتينهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَوْلَا أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى لَّجَاءَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ويستعجلونك - And they ask you to hasten| بالعذاب - [with] the punishment.| ولولا - And if not| أجل - (for) a term| مسمى - appointed,| لجاءهم - surely (would) have come to them| العذاب - the punishment.| وليأتينهم - But it will surely come to them| بغتة - suddenly| وهم - while they| لا - (do) not| يشعرون - perceive.| | ||||||
| 5 [29:54] | YastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwa-inna jahannama lamuheetatun bialkafireena | يستعجلونك بالعذاب وإن جهنم لمحيطة بالكافرين يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |يستعجلونك - They ask you to hasten| بالعذاب - the punishment.| وإن - And indeed,| جهنم - Hell,| لمحيطة - will surely, encompass| بالكافرين - the disbelievers| | ||||||
| 6 [43:48] | Wama nureehim min ayatin illahiya akbaru min okhtiha waakhathnahum bialAAathabilaAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وما نريهم من آية إلا هي أكبر من أختها وأخذناهم بالعذاب لعلهم يرجعون وَمَا نُرِيهِم مِّنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا وَأَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| نريهم - We showed them| من - of| آية - a Sign| إلا - but| هي - it| أكبر - (was) greater| من - than| أختها - its sister,| وأخذناهم - and We seized them| بالعذاب - with the punishment| لعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
