| 1 [4:135] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookoonoo qawwameena bialqisti shuhadaalillahi walaw AAala anfusikum awi alwalidayniwaal-aqrabeena in yakun ghaniyyan aw faqeeran faAllahuawla bihima fala tattabiAAoo alhawaan taAAdiloo wa-in talwoo aw tuAAridoo fa-inna Allahakana bima taAAmaloona khabeeran |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا كونوا قوامين بالقسط شهداء لله ولو على أنفسكم أو الوالدين والأقربين إن يكن غنيا أو فقيرا فالله أولى بهما فلا تتبعوا الهوى أن تعدلوا وإن تلووا أو تعرضوا فإن الله كان بما تعملون خبيرايَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَى أَنفُسِكُمْ أَوِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ إِن يَكُنْ غَنِيًّا أَوْ فَقِيرًا فَاللّهُ أَوْلَى بِهِمَا فَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ الْهَوَى أَن تَعْدِلُواْ وَإِن تَلْوُواْ أَوْ تُعْرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| كونوا - Be| قوامين - custodians| بالقسط - of justice| شهداء - (as) witnesses| لله - to Allah,| ولو - even if| على - (it is) against| أنفسكم - yourselves| أو - or| الوالدين - the parents| والأقربين - and the relatives.| إن - if| يكن - he be| غنيا - rich| أو - or| فقيرا - poor,| فالله - for Allah| أولى - (is) nearer| بهما - to both of them.| فلا - So (do) not| تتبعوا - follow| الهوى - the desire| أن - lest| تعدلوا - you deviate.| وإن - And if| تلووا - you distort| أو - or| تعرضوا - refrain,| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| بما - of what| تعملون - you do| خبيرا - All-Aware.| | ||||||
| 2 [38:26] | Ya dawoodu inna jaAAalnakakhaleefatan fee al-ardi faohkum bayna alnnasibialhaqqi wala tattabiAAi alhawa fayudillakaAAan sabeeli Allahi inna allatheena yadilloonaAAan sabeeli Allahi lahum AAathabun shadeedun bimanasoo yawma alhisabi | يا داوود إنا جعلناك خليفة في الأرض فاحكم بين الناس بالحق ولا تتبع الهوى فيضلك عن سبيل الله إن الذين يضلون عن سبيل الله لهم عذاب شديد بما نسوا يوم الحساب يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَى فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| داوود - "O Dawood!| إنا - Indeed, We| جعلناك - [We] have made you| خليفة - a vicegerent| في - in| الأرض - the earth,| فاحكم - so judge| بين - between| الناس - [the] men| بالحق - in truth| ولا - and (do) not| تتبع - follow| الهوى - the desire,| فيضلك - for it will lead you astray| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| يضلون - go astray| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| لهم - for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| شديد - severe| بما - because| نسوا - they forgot| يوم - (the) Day| الحساب - (of) Account."| | ||||||
| 3 [53:3] | Wama yantiqu AAani alhawa | وما ينطق عن الهوى وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| ينطق - he speaks| عن - from| الهوى - the desire.| | ||||||
| 4 [79:40] | Waama man khafa maqamarabbihi wanaha alnnafsa AAani alhawa | وأما من خاف مقام ربه ونهى النفس عن الهوى وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَى | |||||
