| 1 [6:109] | Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihimla-in jaat-hum ayatun layu/minunna biha qulinnama al-ayatu AAinda Allahi wamayushAAirukum annaha itha jaat layu/minoona |  وأقسموا بالله جهد أيمانهم لئن جاءتهم آية ليؤمنن بها قل إنما الآيات عند الله وما يشعركم أنها إذا جاءت لا يؤمنونوَأَقْسَمُواْ بِاللّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِن جَاءَتْهُمْ آيَةٌ لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْآيَاتُ عِندَ اللّهِ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَا إِذَا جَاءَتْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وأقسموا - And they swear| بالله - by Allah| جهد - strongest| أيمانهم - (of) their oaths| لئن - that if| جاءتهم - came to them| آية - a sign,| ليؤمنن - they would surely believe| بها - in it.| قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| الآيات - the signs| عند - (are) with| الله - Allah."| وما - And what| يشعركم - will make you perceive| أنها - that [it]| إذا - when| جاءت - it comes| لا - not| يؤمنون - they will believe.| | ||||||
| 2 [8:7] | Wa-ith yaAAidukumu Allahu ihdaaltta-ifatayni annaha lakum watawaddoonaanna ghayra thati alshshawkati takoonu lakumwayureedu Allahu an yuhiqqa alhaqqa bikalimatihiwayaqtaAAa dabira alkafireena | وإذ يعدكم الله إحدى الطائفتين أنها لكم وتودون أن غير ذات الشوكة تكون لكم ويريد الله أن يحق الحق بكلماته ويقطع دابر الكافرين وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ اللّهُ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ اللّهُ أَن يُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| يعدكم - promised you| الله - Allah| إحدى - one| الطائفتين - (of) the two groups -| أنها - that it (would be)| لكم - for you -| وتودون - and you wished| أن - that| غير - (one) other than| ذات - that| الشوكة - (of) the armed| تكون - would be| لكم - for you.| ويريد - But intended| الله - Allah| أن - to| يحق - justify| الحق - the truth| بكلماته - by His words,| ويقطع - and cut off| دابر - (the) roots| الكافرين - (of) the disbelievers| | ||||||
| 3 [20:66] | Qala bal alqoo fa-itha hibaluhumwaAAisiyyuhum yukhayyalu ilayhi min sihrihim annahatasAAa | قال بل ألقوا فإذا حبالهم وعصيهم يخيل إليه من سحرهم أنها تسعى قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُوا فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِن سِحْرِهِمْ أَنَّهَا تَسْعَى | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| بل - "Nay,| ألقوا - you throw."| فإذا - Then behold!| حبالهم - Their ropes| وعصيهم - and their staffs| يخيل - seemed| إليه - to him| من - by| سحرهم - their magic| أنها - that they| تسعى - (were) moving.| | ||||||
| 4 [42:18] | YastaAAjilu biha allatheena layu/minoona biha waallatheena amanoomushfiqoona minha wayaAAlamoona annaha alhaqquala inna allatheena yumaroona fee alssaAAatilafee dalalin baAAeedin | يستعجل بها الذين لا يؤمنون بها والذين آمنوا مشفقون منها ويعلمون أنها الحق ألا إن الذين يمارون في الساعة لفي ضلال بعيد يَسْتَعْجِلُ بِهَا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مُشْفِقُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهَا الْحَقُّ أَلَا إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُمَارُونَ فِي السَّاعَةِ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ | |||||
| Words | |يستعجل - Seek to hasten| بها - [of] it| الذين - those who| لا - (do) not| يؤمنون - believe| بها - in it,| والذين - and those who| آمنوا - believe| مشفقون - (are) fearful| منها - of it| ويعلمون - and know| أنها - that it| الحق - (is) the truth.| ألا - Unquestionably,| إن - indeed,| الذين - those who| يمارون - dispute| في - concerning| الساعة - the Hour| لفي - (are) certainly in| ضلال - error| بعيد - far.| | ||||||
