| 1 [8:42] | Ith antum bialAAudwati alddunyawahum bialAAudwati alquswa waalrrakbuasfala minkum walaw tawaAAadtum laikhtalaftum feealmeeAAadi walakin liyaqdiya Allahuamran kana mafAAoolan liyahlika man halaka AAan bayyinatinwayahya man hayya AAan bayyinatin wa-innaAllaha lasameeAAun AAaleemun |  إذ أنتم بالعدوة الدنيا وهم بالعدوة القصوى والركب أسفل منكم ولو تواعدتم لاختلفتم في الميعاد ولكن ليقضي الله أمرا كان مفعولا ليهلك من هلك عن بينة ويحيى من حي عن بينة وإن الله لسميع عليمإِذْ أَنتُم بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُم بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَى وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدتَّمْ لاَخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْمِيعَادِ وَلَـكِن لِّيَقْضِيَ اللّهُ أَمْراً كَانَ مَفْعُولاً لِّيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَن بَيِّنَةٍ وَيَحْيَى مَنْ حَيَّ عَن بَيِّنَةٍ وَإِنَّ اللّهَ لَسَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| أنتم - you (were)| بالعدوة - on side of the valley,| الدنيا - the nearer| وهم - and they| بالعدوة - (were) on the side,| القصوى - the farther| والركب - and the caravan| أسفل - (was) lower| منكم - than you.| ولو - And if| تواعدتم - you (had) made an appointment| لاختلفتم - certainly you would have failed| في - in| الميعاد - the appointment.| ولكن - But| ليقضي - that might accomplish| الله - Allah| أمرا - a matter| كان - (that) was| مفعولا - destined,| ليهلك - that (might be) destroyed| من - (those) who| هلك - (were to be) destroyed| عن - on| بينة - a clear evidence| ويحيى - and (might) live| من - (those) who| حي - (were to) live| عن - on| بينة - a clear evidence.| وإن - And indeed,| الله - Allah| لسميع - (is) All-Hearing,| عليم - All-Knowing.| | ||||||
| 2 [33:10] | Ith jaookum min fawqikum waminasfala minkum wa-ith zaghati al-absaruwabalaghati alquloobu alhanajira watathunnoonabiAllahi alththunoona | إذ جاءوكم من فوقكم ومن أسفل منكم وإذ زاغت الأبصار وبلغت القلوب الحناجر وتظنون بالله الظنونا إِذْ جَاؤُوكُم مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ وَإِذْ زَاغَتِ الْأَبْصَارُ وَبَلَغَتِ الْقُلُوبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّونَ بِاللَّهِ الظُّنُونَا | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| جاءوكم - they came upon you| من - from| فوقكم - above you| ومن - and from| أسفل - below| منكم - you,| وإذ - and when| زاغت - grew wild| الأبصار - the eyes| وبلغت - and reached| القلوب - the hearts| الحناجر - the throats,| وتظنون - and you assumed| بالله - about Allah| الظنونا - the assumptions.| | ||||||
