| 1 [2:178] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookutiba AAalaykumu alqisasu fee alqatla alhurrubialhurri waalAAabdu bialAAabdi waalonthabialontha faman AAufiya lahu min akheehi shay-on faittibaAAunbialmaAAroofi waadaon ilayhi bi-ihsaninthalika takhfeefun min rabbikum warahmatun famaniiAAtada baAAda thalika falahu AAathabunaleemun |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا كتب عليكم القصاص في القتلى الحر بالحر والعبد بالعبد والأنثى بالأنثى فمن عفي له من أخيه شيء فاتباع بالمعروف وأداء إليه بإحسان ذلك تخفيف من ربكم ورحمة فمن اعتدى بعد ذلك فله عذاب أليميَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِصَاصُ فِي الْقَتْلَى الْحُرُّ بِالْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدُ بِالْعَبْدِ وَالْأُنثَى بِالْأُنثَى فَمَنْ عُفِيَ لَهُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ شَيْءٌ فَاتِّبَاعٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَأَدَاءٌ إِلَيْهِ بِإِحْسَانٍ ذَلِكَ تَخْفِيفٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| كتب - Prescribed| عليكم - for you| القصاص - (is) the legal retribution| في - in| القتلى - (the matter of) the murdered,| الحر - the freeman| بالحر - for the freeman,| والعبد - and the slave| بالعبد - for the slave,| والأنثى - and the female| بالأنثى - for the female.| فمن - But whoever| عفي - is pardoned| له - [for it]| من - from| أخيه - his brother| شيء - anything,| فاتباع - then follows up| بالمعروف - with suitable| وأداء - [and] payment| إليه - to him| بإحسان - with kindness.| ذلك - That (is)| تخفيف - a concession| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| ورحمة - and mercy.| فمن - Then whoever| اعتدى - transgresses| بعد - after| ذلك - that,| فله - then for him| عذاب - (is) a punishment| أليم - painful.| | ||||||
| 2 [5:30] | FatawwaAAat lahu nafsuhu qatlaakheehi faqatalahu faasbaha mina alkhasireena | فطوعت له نفسه قتل أخيه فقتله فأصبح من الخاسرين فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فطوعت - Then prompted| له - to him| نفسه - his soul| قتل - (to) kill| أخيه - his brother,| فقتله - so he killed him| فأصبح - and became| من - of| الخاسرين - the losers.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:31] | FabaAAatha Allahu ghuraban yabhathufee al-ardi liyuriyahu kayfa yuwaree saw-ataakheehi qala ya waylata aAAajaztu an akoonamithla hatha alghurabi faowariya saw-ataakhee faasbaha mina alnnadimeena | فبعث الله غرابا يبحث في الأرض ليريه كيف يواري سوءة أخيه قال يا ويلتا أعجزت أن أكون مثل هذا الغراب فأواري سوءة أخي فأصبح من النادمين فَبَعَثَ اللّهُ غُرَابًا يَبْحَثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُ كَيْفَ يُوَارِي سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ قَالَ يَا وَيْلَتَا أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَـذَا الْغُرَابِ فَأُوَارِيَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِي فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ النَّادِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فبعث - Then (was) sent| الله - (by) Allah| غرابا - a crow,| يبحث - it (was) scratching| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ليريه - to show him| كيف - how| يواري - to hide| سوءة - (the) dead body| أخيه - (of) his brother.| قال - He said,| يا - O| ويلتا - "Woe to me!| أعجزت - Am I unable| أن - that| أكون - I can be| مثل - like| هذا - this| الغراب - [the] crow| فأواري - and hide| سوءة - (the) dead body| أخي - (of) my brother?"| فأصبح - Then he became| من - of| النادمين - the regretful.| | ||||||
| 4 [7:150] | Walamma rajaAAa moosa ilaqawmihi ghadbana asifan qala bi/samakhalaftumoonee min baAAdee aAAajiltum amra rabbikum waalqa al-alwahawaakhatha bira/si akheehi yajurruhu ilayhi qalaibna omma inna alqawma istadAAafoonee wakadooyaqtuloonanee fala tushmit biya al-aAAdaa walatajAAalnee maAAa alqawmi alththalimeena | ولما رجع موسى إلى قومه غضبان أسفا قال بئسما خلفتموني من بعدي أعجلتم أمر ربكم وألقى الألواح وأخذ برأس أخيه يجره إليه قال ابن أم إن القوم استضعفوني وكادوا يقتلونني فلا تشمت بي الأعداء ولا تجعلني مع القوم الظالمين وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَى إِلَى قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ أَسِفًا قَالَ بِئْسَمَا خَلَفْتُمُونِي مِن بَعْدِيَ أَعَجِلْتُمْ أَمْرَ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَلْقَى الْأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ ابْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ الْقَوْمَ اسْتَضْعَفُونِي وَكَادُواْ يَقْتُلُونَنِي فَلاَ تُشْمِتْ بِيَ الْأَعْدَاءَ وَلاَ تَجْعَلْنِي مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| رجع - returned| موسى - Musa| إلى - to| قومه - his people -| غضبان - angry,| أسفا - and grieved,| قال - he said,| بئسما - "Evil is what| خلفتموني - you have done in my place| من - from| بعدي - after me.| أعجلتم - Were you impatient| أمر - (over the) matter| ربكم - (of) your Lord?"| وألقى - And he cast down| الألواح - the tablets| وأخذ - and seized| برأس - by head,| أخيه - his brother| يجره - dragging him| إليه - to himself.| قال - He said,| ابن - "O son| أم - (of) my mother!| إن - Indeed,| القوم - the people| استضعفوني - considered me weak| وكادوا - and were about to| يقتلونني - kill me.| فلا - So (let) not| تشمت - rejoice| بي - over me| الأعداء - the enemies,| ولا - and (do) not| تجعلني - place me| مع - with| القوم - the people| الظالمين - (who are) wrongdoing.| | ||||||
| 5 [12:64] | Qala hal amanukum AAalayhi illakama amintukum AAala akheehi min qablu faAllahukhayrun hafithan wahuwa arhamu alrrahimeena | قال هل آمنكم عليه إلا كما أمنتكم على أخيه من قبل فالله خير حافظا وهو أرحم الراحمين قَالَ هَلْ آمَنُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ كَمَا أَمِنتُكُمْ عَلَى أَخِيهِ مِن قَبْلُ فَاللّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظًا وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| هل - "Should| آمنكم - I entrust you| عليه - with him| إلا - except| كما - as| أمنتكم - I entrusted you| على - with| أخيه - his brother| من - before?| قبل - before?| فالله - But Allah| خير - (is) the best| حافظا - Guardian| وهو - and He| أرحم - (is the) Most Merciful| الراحمين - (of) the merciful."| | ||||||
| 6 [12:70] | Falamma jahhazahum bijahazihimjaAAala alssiqayata fee rahli akheehi thummaaththana mu-aththinun ayyatuha alAAeeruinnakum lasariqoona | فلما جهزهم بجهازهم جعل السقاية في رحل أخيه ثم أذن مؤذن أيتها العير إنكم لسارقون فَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُم بِجَهَازِهِمْ جَعَلَ السِّقَايَةَ فِي رَحْلِ أَخِيهِ ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ أَيَّتُهَا الْعِيرُ إِنَّكُمْ لَسَارِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| جهزهم - he had furnished them| بجهازهم - with their supplies,| جعل - he put| السقاية - the drinking cup| في - in| رحل - the bag| أخيه - (of) his brother.| ثم - Then| أذن - called out| مؤذن - an announcer| أيتها - "O you| العير - (in) the caravan!| إنكم - Indeed, you| لسارقون - surely (are) thieves."| | ||||||
| 7 [12:76] | Fabadaa bi-awAAiyatihim qabla wiAAa-iakheehi thumma istakhrajaha min wiAAa-i akheehi kathalikakidna liyoosufa ma kana liya/khuthaakhahu fee deeni almaliki illa an yashaa AllahunarfaAAu darajatin man nashao wafawqa kulli theeAAilmin AAaleemun | فبدأ بأوعيتهم قبل وعاء أخيه ثم استخرجها من وعاء أخيه كذلك كدنا ليوسف ما كان ليأخذ أخاه في دين الملك إلا أن يشاء الله نرفع درجات من نشاء وفوق كل ذي علم عليم فَبَدَأَ بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ قَبْلَ وِعَاءِ أَخِيهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَخْرَجَهَا مِن وِعَاءِ أَخِيهِ كَذَلِكَ كِدْنَا لِيُوسُفَ مَا كَانَ لِيَأْخُذَ أَخَاهُ فِي دِينِ الْمَلِكِ إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاءَ اللّهُ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مِّن نَّشَاءُ وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |فبدأ - So he began| بأوعيتهم - with their bags| قبل - before| وعاء - (the) bag| أخيه - (of) his brother;| ثم - then| استخرجها - he brought it out| من - from| وعاء - (the) bag| أخيه - (of) his brother.| كذلك - Thus| كدنا - (did) We plan| ليوسف - for Yusuf.| ما - He could not| كان - He could not| ليأخذ - take| أخاه - his brother| في - by| دين - the law| الملك - (of) the king,| إلا - except| أن - that| يشاء - Allah willed.| الله - Allah willed.| نرفع - We raise| درجات - (in) degrees| من - whom| نشاء - We will,| وفوق - but over| كل - every| ذي - possessor| علم - (of) knowledge| عليم - (is) the All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 8 [49:12] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooijtaniboo katheeran mina alththanni innabaAAda alththanni ithmun walatajassasoo wala yaghtab baAAdukum baAAdanayuhibbu ahadukum an ya/kula lahma akheehimaytan fakarihtumoohu waittaqoo Allaha inna Allahatawwabun raheemun | يا أيها الذين آمنوا اجتنبوا كثيرا من الظن إن بعض الظن إثم ولا تجسسوا ولا يغتب بعضكم بعضا أيحب أحدكم أن يأكل لحم أخيه ميتا فكرهتموه واتقوا الله إن الله تواب رحيم يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اجْتَنِبُوا كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتًا فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you who believe!| الذين - O you who believe!| آمنوا - O you who believe!| اجتنبوا - Avoid| كثيرا - much| من - of| الظن - the assumption.| إن - Indeed,| بعض - some| الظن - assumption| إثم - (is) sin.| ولا - And (do) not| تجسسوا - spy| ولا - and (do) not| يغتب - backbite| بعضكم - some of you| بعضا - (to) others.| أيحب - Would like| أحدكم - one of you| أن - to| يأكل - eat| لحم - (the) flesh| أخيه - (of) his brother,| ميتا - dead?| فكرهتموه - Nay, you would hate it.| واتقوا - And fear Allah;| الله - And fear Allah;| إن - indeed,| الله - Allah| تواب - (is) Oft-Returning,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 9 [80:34] | Yawma yafirru almaro min akheehi | يوم يفر المرء من أخيه يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ | |||||
