| 1 [6:76] | Falamma janna AAalayhi allaylu raakawkaban qala hatha rabbee falamma afala qalala ohibbu al-afileena |  فلما جن عليه الليل رأى كوكبا قال هذا ربي فلما أفل قال لا أحب الآفلينفَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ رَأَى كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَـذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لاَ أُحِبُّ الْآفِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| جن - covered| عليه - over him| الليل - the night,| رأى - he saw| كوكبا - a star.| قال - He said,| هذا - "This| ربي - (is) my Lord."| فلما - But when| أفل - it set,| قال - he said| لا - "Not| أحب - (do) I like| الآفلين - the ones that set."| | ||||||
| 2 [9:24] | Qul in kana abaokumwaabnaokum wa-ikhwanukum waazwajukumwaAAasheeratukum waamwalun iqtaraftumooha watijaratuntakhshawna kasadaha wamasakinu tardawnahaahabba ilaykum mina Allahi warasoolihi wajihadinfee sabeelihi fatarabbasoo hatta ya/tiya Allahubi-amrihi waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena | قل إن كان آباؤكم وأبناؤكم وإخوانكم وأزواجكم وعشيرتكم وأموال اقترفتموها وتجارة تخشون كسادها ومساكن ترضونها أحب إليكم من الله ورسوله وجهاد في سبيله فتربصوا حتى يأتي الله بأمره والله لا يهدي القوم الفاسقين قُلْ إِن كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَالٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَارَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَاكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُم مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَجِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| إن - "If| كان - are| آباؤكم - your fathers,| وأبناؤكم - and your sons,| وإخوانكم - and your brothers,| وأزواجكم - and your spouses,| وعشيرتكم - and your relatives,| وأموال - and wealth| اقترفتموها - that you have acquired| وتجارة - and the commerce,| تخشون - you fear| كسادها - a decline (in) it| ومساكن - and the dwellings| ترضونها - you delight (in) it| أحب - (are) more beloved| إليكم - to you| من - than| الله - Allah,| ورسوله - and His Messenger| وجهاد - and striving| في - in| سبيله - His way,| فتربصوا - then wait| حتى - until| يأتي - Allah brings| الله - Allah brings| بأمره - His Command.| والله - And Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the people -| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient."| | ||||||
| 3 [12:8] | Ith qaloo layoosufu waakhoohu ahabbuila abeena minna wanahnu AAusbatuninna abana lafee dalalin mubeenin | إذ قالوا ليوسف وأخوه أحب إلى أبينا منا ونحن عصبة إن أبانا لفي ضلال مبين إِذْ قَالُواْ لَيُوسُفُ وَأَخُوهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَى أَبِينَا مِنَّا وَنَحْنُ عُصْبَةٌ إِنَّ أَبَانَا لَفِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| قالوا - they said,| ليوسف - "Surely Yusuf| وأخوه - and his brother| أحب - (are) more beloved| إلى - to| أبينا - our father| منا - than we,| ونحن - while we| عصبة - (are) a group.| إن - Indeed,| أبانا - our father| لفي - (is) surely in| ضلال - an error| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 4 [12:33] | Qala rabbi alssijnu ahabbuilayya mimma yadAAoonanee ilayhi wa-illa tasrifAAannee kaydahunna asbu ilayhinna waakun mina aljahileena | قال رب السجن أحب إلي مما يدعونني إليه وإلا تصرف عني كيدهن أصب إليهن وأكن من الجاهلين قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ وَإِلاَّ تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord,| السجن - the prison| أحب - (is) dearer| إلي - to me| مما - than what| يدعونني - they invite me| إليه - to it.| وإلا - And unless| تصرف - You turn away| عني - from me| كيدهن - their plot| أصب - I might incline| إليهن - towards them| وأكن - and [I] be| من - of| الجاهلين - the ignorant."| | ||||||
