بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [9:92] | Wala AAala allatheena ithama atawka litahmilahum qulta la ajidu maahmilukum AAalayhi tawallaw waaAAyunuhum tafeedumina alddamAAi hazanan alla yajidoo mayunfiqoona
| ولا على الذين إذا ما أتوك لتحملهم قلت لا أجد ما أحملكم عليه تولوا وأعينهم تفيض من الدمع حزنا ألا يجدوا ما ينفقون وَلاَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ إِذَا مَا أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لاَ أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّواْ وَّأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلاَّ يَجِدُواْ مَا يُنفِقُونَ |
Words | |ولا - And not| على - on| الذين - those who,| إذا - when| ما - when| أتوك - they came to you| لتحملهم - that you provide them with mounts,| قلت - you said,| لا - "Not| أجد - I find| ما - what| أحملكم - to mount you| عليه - on [it].| تولوا - They turned back| وأعينهم - with their eyes| تفيض - flowing| من - [of]| الدمع - (with) the tears,| حزنا - (of) sorrow| ألا - that not| يجدوا - they find| ما - what| ينفقون - they (could) spend.| |

| በእነዚያም ልትጭናቸው በመጡህ ጊዜ «በርሱ ላይ የምጭናችሁ (አጋሰስ) አላገኝም፤» ያልካቸው ስትኾን የሚያወጡት ገንዘብ ባለማግኘታቸው ለማዘናቸው ዓይኖቻቸው እንባን እያፈሰሱ በዞሩት ላይ (የወቀሳ መንገድ የለባቸውም)፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { ولا على الذين إذا ما أتوك لتحملهم } معك إلى الغزو وهم سبعة من الأنصار وقيل بنو مقرن { قلتَ لا أجد ما أحملكم عليه } حال { تولَّوا } جواب إذا أي انصرفوا { وأعينهم تفيض } تسيل { من } للبيان { الدمع حزنا } لأجل { ألا يجدوا ما ينفقون } في الجهاد . |
| Am akken, i wid ik id iusan a ten tneqqlev, tenniv: "ur awen ufi$ ara kwen ineqqlen". U$alen, allen feggvent seg imeîîawen, $weblen imi ur ufin ara sedqen. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর না আছে তাদের উপর যারা এসেছে তোমার নিকট যেন তুমি তাদের বাহন দান কর এবং তুমি বলেছ, আমার কাছে এমন কোন বস্তু নেই যে, তার উপর তোমাদের সওয়ার করাব তখন তারা ফিরে গেছে অথচ তখন তাদের চোখ দিয়ে অশ্রু বইতেছিল এ দুঃখে যে, তারা এমন কোন বস্তু পাচ্ছে না যা ব্যয় করবে। |
Literal | And nor on those when/if they came to you to carry/bear them, you said: "I do not find what I carry you on it." They turned away and their eyes flow/over flow from the tears, sadness/grief that they not find what they (can) spend. |
Yusuf Ali | Nor (is there blame) on those who came to thee to be provided with mounts, and when thou saidst, "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, their eyes streaming with tears of grief that they had no resources wherewith to provide the expenses. |
Pickthal | Nor unto those whom, when they came to thee (asking) that thou shouldst mount them, thou didst tell: I cannot find whereon to mount you. They turned back with eyes flowing with tears, for sorrow that they could not find the means to spend. |
Arberry | neither against those who, when they came to thee, for thee to mount them, thou saidst to them, 'I find not whereon to mount you'; they turned away, their eyes overflowing with tears of sorrow, because they found nothing to expend. |
Shakir | Nor in those who when they came to you that you might carry them, you said: I cannot find that on which to carry you; they went back while their eyes overflowed with tears on account of grief for not finding that which they should spend. |
Sarwar | Those who come to you, (Muhammad), asking to be taken to the battle, but you cannot find the necessary means for them, are exempt from the duty of fighting for the cause of God, even though they leave you with their eyes flooded with tears because of not being able to help the cause of God. |
H/K/Saheeh | Nor [is there blame] upon those who, when they came to you that you might give them mounts, you said, "I can find nothing for you to ride upon." They turned back while their eyes overflowed with tears out of grief that they could not find something to spend [for the cause of Allah]. |
Malik | Likewise, there is no blame on those who came to you and requested the conveyance to the battlefront and you said: "I am unable to provide you the conveyance," and they returned with their eyes streaming with tears; they were filled with sorrow that they had no resources of going forth to the battlefield at their own expense.[92] |

Khalifa** | Also excused are those who come to you wishing to be included with you, but you tell them, "I do not have anything to carry you on." They then turn back with tears in their eyes, genuinely saddened that they could not afford to contribute. |
Hilali/Khan** | Nor (is there blame) on those who came to you to be provided with mounts, and when you said: "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, while their eyes overflowing with tears of grief that they could not find anything to spend (for Jihad). |

You told them, "I cannot find a ride to mount you on." They returned with eyes flowing with tears out of sorrow that they had no means to spend for equipment. |

Abul Ala Maududi | اسی طرح اُن لوگوں پر بھی کوئی اعتراض کا موقع نہیں ہے جنہوں نے خود آ کر تم سے درخواست کی تھی کہ ہمارے لیے سواریاں بہم پہنچائی جائیں، اور جب تم نے کہا کہ میں تمہارے لیے سواریوں کا انتظام نہیں کرسکتا تو وہ مجبوراً واپس گئے اور حال یہ تھا کہ ان کی آنکھوں سے آنسو جاری تھے اور انہیں اس بات کا بڑا رنج تھا کہ وہ اپنے خرچ پر شریک جہاد ہونے کی مقدرت نہیں رکھتے |
