| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[83:14] | Kalla bal rana AAalaquloobihim ma kanoo yaksiboona
|  كلا بل ران على قلوبهم ما كانوا يكسبون
كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| Words | |كلا - Nay!| بل - But,| ران - (the) stain has covered| على - [over]| قلوبهم - their hearts| ما - (for) what| كانوا - they used to| يكسبون - earn.| |

| ይከልከል፤ ይልቁንም በልቦቻቸው ላይ ይሠሩት የነበሩት (ኀጢአት) ደገደገባቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { كلا } ردع وزجر لقولهم ذلك { بل ران } غلب { على قلوبهم } فغشيها { ما كانوا يكسبون } من المعاصي فهو كالصدأ. |
| Xaîi! Maca dubben wulawen nnsen seg wayen kesben. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | কখনও না, বরং তারা যা করে, তাই তাদের হৃদয় মরিচা ধরিয়ে দিয়েছে। |
| Literal | No but, rather (it) dominated/overwhelmed on their hearts/minds , what they were gaining/acquiring . |
| Yusuf Ali | By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do! |
| Pickthal | Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts. |
| Arberry | No indeed; but that they were earning has rusted upon their hearts. |
| Shakir | Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust . upon their hearts. |
| Sarwar | They will never have faith. In fact, their hearts are stained from their deeds. |
