| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[8:33] | Wama kana AllahuliyuAAaththibahum waanta feehim wama kanaAllahu muAAaththibahum wahum yastaghfiroona
|  وما كان الله ليعذبهم وأنت فيهم وما كان الله معذبهم وهم يستغفرون
وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ |
| Words | |وما - But not| كان - is| الله - (for) Allah| ليعذبهم - that He punishes them| وأنت - while you| فيهم - (are) among them,| وما - and not| كان - is| الله - Allah| معذبهم - the One Who punishes them| وهم - while they| يستغفرون - seek forgiveness.| |

| አላህም አንተ በውስጣቸው እያለህ (ድንጋይ በማዝነብና ባሳማሚ ቅጣት) የሚቀጣቸው አይደለም፡፡ አላህም እነሱ ምህረትን የሚለምኑ ሲኾኑ የሚቀጣቸው አይደለም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | قال تعالى: { وما كان الله ليعذَّبهم } بما سألوه { وأنت فيهم } لأن العذاب إذا نزل عَمَّ ولم تعذَّب أمة إلا بعد خروج نبيها والمؤمنين منها { وما كان الله معذبَهم وهم يستغفرون } حيث يقولون في طوافهم: غفرانك ، غفرانك. وقيل أهم المؤمنون المستضعفون فيهم كما قال تعالى: (لو تزيَّلوا لعذبنا الذين كفروا منهم عذابا أليما) . |
| Ur illi Öebbi d win ara ten Iâaqben, skud telliv garasen. Ur Illi Öebbi d win ara Ipâaqben ma nitni la suturen ssmaê. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অথচ আল্লাহ কখনই তাদের উপর আযাব নাযিল করবেন না যতক্ষণ আপনি তাদের মাঝে অবস্থান করবেন। তাছাড়া তারা যতক্ষণ ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করতে থাকবে আল্লাহ কখনও তাদের উপর আযাব দেবেন না। |
| Literal | And God was not to torture them and (while) you are in (between) them, and God was not torturing them and (while) they are asking for forgiveness. |
| Yusuf Ali | But Allah was not going to send them a penalty whilst thou wast amongst them; nor was He going to send it whilst they could ask for pardon. |
