[72:25] | Qul in adree aqareebun ma tooAAadoonaam yajAAalu lahu rabbee amadan
|  قل إن أدري أقريب ما توعدون أم يجعل له ربي أمدا
قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُ رَبِّي أَمَدًا |
| Words | |قل - Say,| إن - "Not| أدري - I know| أقريب - whether is near| ما - what| توعدون - you are promised| أم - or (whether)| يجعل - will appoint| له - for it| ربي - my Lord| أمدا - a (distant) term.| |

| «የምትስፈራሩበት ነገር ቅርብ ወይም ጌታየ ለእርሱ የተወሰነ ጊዜን የሚያደርግለት (ሩቅ) መኾኑን አላውቅም» በላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قل إن } أي ما { أدري أقريب ما توعدون } ؟ من العذاب { أم يجعل له ربي أمدا } غاية وأجلا لا يعلمه إلا هو. |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | বলুনঃ আমি জানি না তোমাদের প্রতিশ্রুত বিষয় আসন্ন না আমার পালনকর্তা এর জন্যে কোন মেয়াদ স্থির করে রেখেছেন। |
| Literal | Say: "I do not know what you are being promised, (if it) is nearer/closer or my Lord makes/puts for it (extended) time." |
| Yusuf Ali | Say: "I know not whether the (Punishment) which ye are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term. |
| Pickthal | Say (O Muhammad, unto the disbelievers): I know not whether that which ye are promised is nigh, or if my Lord hath set a distant term for it. |
