بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [71:7] | Wa-innee kullama daAAawtuhumlitaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihimwaistaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo waistakbarooistikbaran
| وإني كلما دعوتهم لتغفر لهم جعلوا أصابعهم في آذانهم واستغشوا ثيابهم وأصروا واستكبروا استكبارا وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًا |
Words | |وإني - And indeed, I| كلما - every time,| دعوتهم - I invited them| لتغفر - that You may forgive| لهم - them,| جعلوا - they put| أصابعهم - their fingers| في - in| آذانهم - their ears| واستغشوا - and covered themselves| ثيابهم - (with) their garments| وأصروا - and persisted| واستكبروا - and were arrogant| استكبارا - (with) pride.| |

| «እኔም ለእነርሱ ትምር ዘንድ (ወደ እምነት) በጠራኋቸው ቁጥር ጣቶቻቸውን በጆሮዎቻቸው ውስጥ አደረጉ፡፡ ልብሶቻቸውንም ተከናነቡ፡፡ (በመጥፎ ሥራቸው ላይ) ዘወተሩም፡፡ (ያለ ልክ) መኩራትንም ኮሩ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وإني كلما دعوتهم لتغفر لهم جعلوا أصابعهم في آذانهم } لئلا يسمعوا كلامي { واستغشوا ثيابهم } غطوا رؤوسهم بها لئلا ينظروني { وأصروا } على كفرهم { واستكبروا } تكبروا عن الإيمان { استكبارا } . |
| Nek, yal tikelt ara ten neccde$ iwakken a sen Tsemmêev, ad rren ivudan nnsen deg imeééu$en nnsen, ad pplen deg iceîîiven nnsen. Ggernennen, zuxxen s tem$weô. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমি যতবারই তাদেরকে দাওয়াত দিয়েছি, যাতে আপনি তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করেন, ততবারই তারা কানে অঙ্গুলি দিয়েছে, মুখমন্ডল বস্ত্রাবৃত করেছে, জেদ করেছে এবং খুব ঔদ্ধত্য প্রদর্শন করেছে। |
Literal | And that I, whenever I called them (for You) to forgive for them, they made/put their fingers in their ears, and they covered/darkened themselves (with) their clothes/garments , and they persisted/insisted, and they became arrogant, arrogantly. |
Yusuf Ali | "And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance. |
Pickthal | And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride. |
