| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:37] | Waqaloo lawla nuzzila AAalayhiayatun min rabbihi qul inna Allaha qadirunAAala an yunazzila ayatan walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoona
|  وقالوا لولا نزل عليه آية من ربه قل إن الله قادر على أن ينزل آية ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون
وَقَالُواْ لَوْلاَ نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ قُلْ إِنَّ اللّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَن يُنَزِّلٍ آيَةً وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they said,| لولا - "Why (is) not| نزل - sent down| عليه - to him| آية - a Sign| من - from| ربه - his Lord?"| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed| الله - Allah| قادر - (is) Able| على - [on]| أن - to| ينزل - send down| آية - a Sign,| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know."| |

| «ከጌታውም በእርሱ ላይ ለምን ተዓምር አልተወረደም» አሉ፡፡ «አላህ ተአምርን በማውረድ ላይ ቻይ ነው» በላቸው፡፡ ግን አብዛኞቻቸው አያውቁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا } أي كفار مكة { لولا } هلا { نزَّل عليه آية من ربه } كالناقة والعصا والمائدة { قل } لهم { إن الله قادر على أن ينزِّل } بالتشديد والتخفيف { آية } مما اقترحوا { ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون } أن نزولها بلاء عليهم لوجوب هلاكهم إن جحدوها . |
| Qqaôen: "acimi ur as d irs ara ussekni s$uô Mass is"? Ini: "Öebbi, s tidep, Izmer a d Issers assekni", maca tegwti degsen ur éôin. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলেঃ তার প্রতি তার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে কোন নিদর্শন অবতীর্ণ হয়নি কেন? বলে দিনঃ আল্লাহ নিদর্শন অবতরণ করতে পূর্ন সক্ষম; কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না। |
| Literal | And they said: "If only a sign/verse/evidence was descended on him from his Lord." Say: "That God (is) capable that on to descend a sign/verse/evidence." And but most of them do not know. |
| Yusuf Ali | They say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "Allah hath certainly power to send down a sign: but most of them understand not. |
