| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:116] | Wa-in tutiAA akthara man fee al-ardiyudillooka AAan sabeeli Allahi in yattabiAAoona illaalththanna wa-in hum illa yakhrusoona
|  وإن تطع أكثر من في الأرض يضلوك عن سبيل الله إن يتبعون إلا الظن وإن هم إلا يخرصون
وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَخْرُصُونَ |
| Words | |وإن - And if| تطع - you obey| أكثر - most| من - of| في - (those) in| الأرض - the earth| يضلوك - they will mislead you| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah.| إن - Not| يتبعون - they follow| إلا - except| الظن - [the] assumption,| وإن - and not| هم - they (do)| إلا - except| يخرصون - guess.| |

| በምድርም ካሉት ሰዎች አብዛኞቹን ብትከተል ከአላህ መንገድ ያሳስቱሃል፡፡ ጥርጣሬን እንጅ ሌላን አይከተሉም፡፡ እነርሱም የሚዋሹ እንጂ ሌላ አይደሉም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإن تطع أكثر من في الأرض } أي الكفار { يضلوك عن سبيل الله } دينه { إن } ما { يتبعون إلا الظنَّ } في مجادلتهم لك في أمر الميتة إذ قالوا ما قتل الله أحق أن تأكلوه مما قتلتم { وإن } ما { هو إلا يخرصون } يكذبون في ذلك . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যদি আপনি পৃথিবীর অধিকাংশ লোকের কথা মেনে নেন, তবে তারা আপনাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিপথগামী করে দেবে। তারা শুধু অলীক কল্পনার অনুসরণ করে এবং সম্পূর্ণ অনুমান ভিত্তিক কথাবার্তা বলে থাকে। |
| Literal | And if you obey (follow) most of who (is) in the earth, they misguide you from God's way/path , that they follow except the assumption/suspicion , and that they (are) except lying/speculating. |
| Yusuf Ali | Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie. |
| Pickthal | If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from Allah's way. They follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess. |
| Arberry | If thou obeyest the most part of those on earth they will lead thee astray from the path of God; they follow only surmise, merely conjecturing. |
