| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[40:6] | Wakathalika haqqat kalimaturabbika AAala allatheena kafaroo annahum as-habualnnari
|  وكذلك حقت كلمت ربك على الذين كفروا أنهم أصحاب النار
وَكَذَلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ |
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| حقت - has been justified| كلمت - (the) Word| ربك - (of) your Lord| على - against| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| أنهم - that they| أصحاب - (are) companions| النار - (of) the Fire.| |

| እንደዚሁም የጌታህ ቃል በእነዚያ በካዱት ላይ እነርሱ የእሳት ጓዶች ናቸው ማለት ተረጋገጠች፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | ( وكذلك حقت كلمة ربك ) أي "" لأملأن جهنم "" الآية ( على الذين كفروا أنهم أصحاب النار ) بدل من كلمة . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এভাবে কাফেরদের বেলায় আপনার পালনকর্তার এ বাক্য সত্য হল যে, তারা জাহান্নামী। |
| Literal | And like that, your Lord's word/expression became correct/true on those who disbelieved, that they are the fire's owners/company . |
| Yusuf Ali | Thus was the Decree of thy Lord proved true against the Unbelievers; that truly they are Companions of the Fire! |
| Pickthal | Thus was the word of thy Lord concerning those who disbelieve fulfilled: That they are owners of the Fire. |
| Arberry | Even so the Word of thy Lord was realised against the unbelievers, that they are the inhabitants of the Fire. |
