| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[38:55] | Hatha wa-inna lilttagheenalasharra maabin
|  هذا وإن للطاغين لشر مآب
هَذَا وَإِنَّ لِلطَّاغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَآبٍ |
| Words | |هذا - This (is so)!| وإن - And indeed,| للطاغين - for the transgressors| لشر - surely (is) an evil| مآب - place of return.| |

| ይህ (ለአማኞች ነው)፡፡ ለጠማሞችም በጣም የከፋ መመለሻ አላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { هذا } المذكور للمؤمنين { وإن للطاغين } مستأنف { لشر مآب } . |
| Akka. Wanag, i iqehhaôen, tisin icemten mavi: |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এটাতো শুনলে, এখন দুষ্টদের জন্যে রয়েছে নিকৃষ্ট ঠিকানা |
| Literal | This, and that truly to the tyrannizing/arrogant (is a) bad/evil (E) return. |
| Yusuf Ali | Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- |
| Pickthal | This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, |
| Arberry | All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, |
| Shakir | This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; |
