| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[34:21] | Wama kana lahu AAalayhim minsultanin illa linaAAlama man yu/minu bial-akhiratimimman huwa minha fee shakkin warabbuka AAala kullishay-in hafeethun
|  وما كان له عليهم من سلطان إلا لنعلم من يؤمن بالآخرة ممن هو منها في شك وربك على كل شيء حفيظ
وَمَا كَانَ لَهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِالْآخِرَةِ مِمَّنْ هُوَ مِنْهَا فِي شَكٍّ وَرَبُّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظٌ |
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - was| له - for him| عليهم - over them| من - any| سلطان - authority| إلا - except| لنعلم - that We (might) make evident| من - who| يؤمن - believes| بالآخرة - in the Hereafter| ممن - from (one) who| هو - [he]| منها - about it| في - (is) in| شك - doubt.| وربك - And your Lord| على - over| كل - all| شيء - things| حفيظ - (is) a Guardian.| |

| በመጨረሻይቱም ዓለም የሚያምነውን ከዚያ እርሱ ከእርሷ በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ከሆነው ሰው ለይተን እንድናውቅ እንጅ በእነርሱ ላይ ለእርሱ ምንም ስልጣን አልነበረውም፡፡ ጌታህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما كان له عليهم من سلطان } تسليط { إلا لنعلم } علم ظهور { من يؤمن بالآخرة ممن هو منها في شك } فنجازي كلا منهما { وربك على شيء حفيظ } رقيب . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের উপর শয়তানের কোন ক্ষমতা ছিল না, তবে কে পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে এবং কে তাতে সন্দেহ করে, তা প্রকাশ করাই ছিল আমার উদ্দেশ্য। আপনার পালনকর্তা সব বিষয়ে তত্ত্বাবধায়ক। |
| Literal | And nothing from a power/authority/control was for him on them, except to know who believes with (in) the end (other life) than who he is from it in doubt/suspicion, and your Lord (is) on every thing (an) honest protector/observor . |
| Yusuf Ali | But he had no authority over them,- except that We might test the man who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it: and thy Lord doth watch over all things. |
