[3:168] | Allatheena qaloo li-ikhwanihimwaqaAAadoo law ataAAoona ma qutiloo qul faidraooAAan anfusikumu almawta in kuntum sadiqeena
|  الذين قالوا لإخوانهم وقعدوا لو أطاعونا ما قتلوا قل فادرءوا عن أنفسكم الموت إن كنتم صادقين
الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ وَقَعَدُواْ لَوْ أَطَاعُونَا مَا قُتِلُوا قُلْ فَادْرَؤُوا عَنْ أَنفُسِكُمُ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Words | |الذين - Those who| قالوا - said| لإخوانهم - about their brothers| وقعدوا - while they sat,| لو - "If| أطاعونا - they (had) obeyed us| ما - not| قتلوا - they would have been killed."| قل - Say,| فادرءوا - "Then avert| عن - from| أنفسكم - yourselves| الموت - [the] death| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| |

| እነዚያ (ከትግል) የቀሩ ሲኾኑ ለወንድሞቻቸው፡- «በታዘዙን ኖሮ ባልተገደሉ ነበር» ያሉ ናቸው፡፡ «እውነተኞች እንደኾናችሁ ከነፍሶቻችሁ ላይ ሞትን ገፍትሩ» በላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { الذين } بدل من الذين قبله أو نعت { قالوا لإخوانهم } في الدين { و } قد { قعدوا } عن الجهاد { لو أطاعونا } أي شهداء أحد أو إخواننا في القعود { ماقتلوا قل } لهم { فادرَءُوا } ادفعوا { عن أنفسكم الموت إن كنتم صادقين } في أن القعود ينجي منه ونزل في الشهداء . |
| Wid innan i watmaten nnsen, u nitni qqimen: "lemmer i $ ssemêessen, ur pwan$en". Ini: "sdarit iman nnwen si tmeppant, ma tessawalem tidep ". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | ওরা হলো যে সব লোক, যারা বসে থেকে নিজেদের ভাইদের সম্বদ্ধে বলে, যদি তারা আমাদের কথা শুনত, তবে নিহত হত না। তাদেরকে বলে দিন, এবার তোমাদের নিজেদের উপর থেকে মৃত্যুকে সরিয়ে দাও, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাক। |
| Literal | Those who said to their brothers and they sat/remained behind : "If they obeyed us, they would not (have) been killed." Say: "So push/drive away (prevent) from yourselves the death if you were truthful." |
| Yusuf Ali | (They are) the ones that say, (of their brethren slain), while they themselves sit (at ease): "If only they had listened to us they would not have been slain." Say: "Avert death from your own selves, if ye speak the truth." |
