| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [25:5] | Waqaloo asateeru al-awwaleenaiktatabaha fahiya tumla AAalayhi bukratan waaseelan
| وقالوا أساطير الأولين اكتتبها فهي تملى عليه بكرة وأصيلا وَقَالُوا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ اكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِيَ تُمْلَى عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| أساطير - "Tales| الأولين - (of) the former people| اكتتبها - which he has had written| فهي - and they| تملى - are dictated| عليه - to him| بكرة - morning| وأصيلا - and evening."| |

| አሉም «የመጀመሪያዎቹ ሰዎች ተረቶች ናት፡፡ አስጻፋት፡፡ እርሷም በእርሱ ላይ ጧትና ማታ ትነበብለታለች፡፡» |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا } أيضا هو { أساطير والأولين } أكاذيبهم: جمع أسطورة بالضم { اكتتبها } انتسخها من ذلك القوم بغيره { فهي تملى } تقرأ { عليه } ليحفظها { بكرة وأصيلاً } غدوة وعشيا قال تعالى ردا عليهم . |
| Nnan: "d timucuha imezwura, i iura; qqaôen as tent ûûbeê, tameddit". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলে, এগুলো তো পুরাকালের রূপকথা, যা তিনি লিখে রেখেছেন। এগুলো সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তাঁর কাছে শেখানো হয়। |
| Literal | And they said: "The first's/beginner's myths/baseless stories , he wrote it, so it is being dictated on (to) him early mornings and evening to sunset ." |
| Yusuf Ali | And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written: and they are dictated before him morning and evening." |
| Pickthal | And they say: Fables of the men of old which he hath had written down so that they are dictated to him morn and evening. |
