| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[17:59] | Wama manaAAana an nursila bial-ayatiilla an kaththaba biha al-awwaloona waataynathamooda alnnaqata mubsiratan fathalamoobiha wama nursilu bial-ayatiilla takhweefan
|  وما منعنا أن نرسل بالآيات إلا أن كذب بها الأولون وآتينا ثمود الناقة مبصرة فظلموا بها وما نرسل بالآيات إلا تخويفا
وَمَا مَنَعَنَا أَن نُّرْسِلَ بِالْآيَاتِ إِلاَّ أَن كَذَّبَ بِهَا الْأَوَّلُونَ وَآتَيْنَا ثَمُودَ النَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَةً فَظَلَمُواْ بِهَا وَمَا نُرْسِلُ بِالْآيَاتِ إِلاَّ تَخْوِيفًا |

| ታምራቶችንም ከመላክ የቀድሞዎቹ ሰዎች በእርሷ ማስተባበልና (መጥፋት) እንጂ ሌላ አልከለከለንም፡፡ ለሰሙድም ግመልን ግልጽ ተዓምር ኾና ሰጠናቸው፡፡ በእርሷም በደሉ፡፡ ተዓምራቶችንም ለማስፈራራት እንጂ አንንልክም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما منعنا أن نرسل بالآيات } التي اقترحها أهل مكة { إلا أن كذب بها الأولون } لما أرسلناها فأهلكناهم ولو أرسلناها إلى هؤلاء لكذبوا بها واستحثوا الإهلاك وقد حكمنا بإمهالهم لإتمام أمر محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم { وآتينا ثمود الناقة } أي { مبصرة } بينة واضحة { فظلموا } كفروا { بها } فأهلكوا { وما نرسل بالآيات } المعجزات { إلا تخويفا } للعباد فيؤمنوا . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | পূর্ববর্তীগণ কতৃêক নিদর্শন অস্বীকার করার ফলেই আমাকে নিদর্শনাবলী প্রেরণ থেকে বিরত থাকতে হয়েছে। আমি তাদেরকে বোঝাবার জন্যে সামুদকে উষ্ট্রী দিয়েছিলাম। অতঃপর তারা তার প্রতি জুলুম করেছিল। আমি ভীতি প্রদর্শনের উদ্দেশেই নিদর্শন প্রেরণ করি। |
| Literal | And nothing prevented/prohibited us that (E) We send with the verses/evidences except that the first/beginners lied/denied/falsified with it, and We gave/brought Thamud the (F) camel manifest/clearly visible to the eye and understanding/clear evidence , so they caused injustice with it, and We do not sent with the verses/evidences/signs except frightening. |
| Yusuf Ali | And We refrain from sending the signs, only because the men of former generations treated them as false: We sent the she-camel to the Thamud to open their eyes, but they treated her wrongfully: We only send the Signs by way of terror (and warning from evil). |
