بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [17:33] | Wala taqtuloo alnnafsa allateeharrama Allahu illa bialhaqqiwaman qutila mathlooman faqad jaAAalnaliwaliyyihi sultanan fala yusrif fee alqatli innahukana mansooran
| ولا تقتلوا النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ومن قتل مظلوما فقد جعلنا لوليه سلطانا فلا يسرف في القتل إنه كان منصورا وَلاَ تَقْتُلُواْ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللّهُ إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَمَن قُتِلَ مَظْلُومًا فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّهِ سُلْطَانًا فَلاَ يُسْرِف فِّي الْقَتْلِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مَنْصُورًا |
Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تقتلوا - kill| النفس - the soul| التي - which| حرم - Allah has forbidden,| الله - Allah has forbidden,| إلا - except| بالحق - by right.| ومن - And whoever| قتل - (is) killed| مظلوما - wrongfully,| فقد - verily| جعلنا - We have made| لوليه - for his heir| سلطانا - an authority,| فلا - but not| يسرف - he should exceed| في - in| القتل - the killing.| إنه - Indeed, he| كان - is| منصورا - helped.| |

| ያቺንም አላህ ያወገዛትን ነፍስ ያለ ሕግ አትግደሉ፡፡ የተበደለም ኾኖ የተገደለ ሰው ለዘመዱ (በገዳዩ ላይ) በእርግጥ ስልጣንን አድርገናል፡፡ በመግደልም ወሰንን አይለፍ፤ እርሱ የተረዳ ነውና፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { ولا تقتلوا النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ومن قُتل مظلوما فقد جعلنا لوليه } لوارثه { سلطانا } تسلطا على القاتل { فلا يسرف } يتجاوز الحد { في القتل } بأن يقتل غير قاتله أو بغير ما قتل به { إنه كان منصورا } . |
| Ur neqqet amdan i wen Igdel Öebbi, siwa ma di tidep. Win ipwan$an s le$deô, ihi, a Nefk adabu i walag is. Ur ipjuôôu di tmen$iwt, ihi, neppa, ad ippusellek. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সে প্রাণকে হত্যা করো না, যাকে আল্লাহ হারাম করেছেন; কিন্তু ন্যায়ভাবে। যে ব্যক্তি অন্যায়ভাবে নিহত হয়, আমি তার উত্তরাধিকারীকে ক্ষমতা দান করি। অতএব, সে যেন হত্যার ব্যাপারে সীমা লঙ্ঘন না করে। নিশ্চয় সে সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত। |
Literal | And do not kill the self that God forbade/prohibited except with the truth/right (justice) , and who was killed unjustly/oppressively, so We had made for his guardian a power/authority , so he does not waste/exceed the limit in the killing/murder , that he truly was/is victorious. |
Yusuf Ali | Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law). |
Pickthal | And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped. |

Abul Ala Maududi | قتل نفس کا ارتکاب نہ کرو جسے اللہ نے حرام کیا ہے مگر حق کے ساتھ اور جو شخص مظلومانہ قتل کیا گیا ہو اس کے ولی کو ہم نے قصاص کے مطالبے کا حق عطا کیا ہے، پس چاہیے کہ وہ قتل میں حد سے نہ گزرے، اُس کی مدد کی جائے گی |
