| 2 [2:210] | Hal yanthuroona illaan ya/tiyahumu Allahu fee thulalin minaalghamami waalmala-ikatu waqudiyaal-amru wa-ila Allahi turjaAAu al-omooru | هل ينظرون إلا أن يأتيهم الله في ظلل من الغمام والملائكة وقضي الأمر وإلى الله ترجع الأمور هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمُ اللّهُ فِي ظُلَلٍ مِّنَ الْغَمَامِ وَالْمَلآئِكَةُ وَقُضِيَ الأَمْرُ وَإِلَى اللّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأمُورُ | |||||

| 4 [6:8] | Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhimalakun walaw anzalna malakan laqudiya al-amruthumma la yuntharoona | وقالوا لولا أنزل عليه ملك ولو أنزلنا ملكا لقضي الأمر ثم لا ينظرون وَقَالُواْ لَوْلاَ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لاَ يُنظَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they said,| لولا - "Why has not been| أنزل - sent down| عليه - to him| ملك - an Angel?"| ولو - And if| أنزلنا - We (had) sent down| ملكا - an Angel,| لقضي - surely (would) have been decided| الأمر - the matter| ثم - then| لا - no| ينظرون - respite would have been granted to them.| | ||||||
| 5 [6:158] | Hal yanthuroona illaan ta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya rabbuka aw ya/tiyabaAAdu ayati rabbika yawma ya/tee baAAduayati rabbika la yanfaAAu nafsan eemanuhalam takun amanat min qablu aw kasabat fee eemanihakhayran quli intathiroo inna muntathiroona | هل ينظرون إلا أن تأتيهم الملائكة أو يأتي ربك أو يأتي بعض آيات ربك يوم يأتي بعض آيات ربك لا ينفع نفسا إيمانها لم تكن آمنت من قبل أو كسبت في إيمانها خيرا قل انتظروا إنا منتظرون هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَن تَأْتِيهُمُ الْمَلَآئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ لاَ يَنفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِن قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا قُلِ انتَظِرُواْ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ | |||||

| 6 [7:53] | Hal yanthuroona illata/weelahu yawma ya/tee ta/weeluhu yaqoolu allatheenanasoohu min qablu qad jaat rusulu rabbina bialhaqqifahal lana min shufaAAaa fayashfaAAoo lanaaw nuraddu fanaAAmala ghayra allathee kunnanaAAmalu qad khasiroo anfusahum wadalla AAanhum makanoo yaftaroona | هل ينظرون إلا تأويله يوم يأتي تأويله يقول الذين نسوه من قبل قد جاءت رسل ربنا بالحق فهل لنا من شفعاء فيشفعوا لنا أو نرد فنعمل غير الذي كنا نعمل قد خسروا أنفسهم وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترون هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ تَأْوِيلَهُ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي تَأْوِيلُهُ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ نَسُوهُ مِن قَبْلُ قَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ فَهَل لَّنَا مِن شُفَعَاءَ فَيَشْفَعُواْ لَنَا أَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَيْرَ الَّذِي كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ قَدْ خَسِرُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ | |||||

| 7 [7:198] | Wa-in tadAAoohum ila alhuda layasmaAAoo watarahum yanthuroona ilayka wahumla yubsiroona | وإن تدعوهم إلى الهدى لا يسمعوا وتراهم ينظرون إليك وهم لا يبصرون وَإِن تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْهُدَى لاَ يَسْمَعُواْ وَتَرَاهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ لاَ يُبْصِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And if| تدعوهم - you call them| إلى - to| الهدى - the guidance| لا - not| يسمعوا - do they not.| وتراهم - And you see them| ينظرون - looking| إليك - at you| وهم - but they -| لا - not| يبصرون - (do) they see.| | ||||||
| 8 [8:6] | Yujadiloonaka fee alhaqqibaAAda ma tabayyana kaannama yusaqoona ilaalmawti wahum yanthuroona | يجادلونك في الحق بعدما تبين كأنما يساقون إلى الموت وهم ينظرون يُجَادِلُونَكَ فِي الْحَقِّ بَعْدَ مَا تَبَيَّنَ كَأَنَّمَا يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يجادلونك - They dispute with you| في - concerning| الحق - the truth| بعدما - after what| تبين - was made clear,| كأنما - as if| يساقون - they were driven| إلى - to| الموت - [the] death| وهم - while they| ينظرون - (were) looking.| | ||||||
| 9 [16:33] | Hal yanthuroona illa anta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya amru rabbika kathalikafaAAala allatheena min qablihim wama thalamahumuAllahu walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona | هل ينظرون إلا أن تأتيهم الملائكة أو يأتي أمر ربك كذلك فعل الذين من قبلهم وما ظلمهم الله ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ كَذَلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللّهُ وَلـكِن كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |هل - Do| ينظرون - they wait| إلا - except| أن - that| تأتيهم - (should) come to them| الملائكة - the Angels| أو - or| يأتي - (should) come| أمر - (the) Command| ربك - (of) your Lord?| كذلك - Thus| فعل - did| الذين - those who| من - (were) before them.| قبلهم - (were) before them.| وما - And not| ظلمهم - wronged them| الله - Allah| ولكن - but| كانوا - they were| أنفسهم - themselves| يظلمون - wronging.| | ||||||
| 10 [16:85] | Wa-itha raa allatheena thalamooalAAathaba fala yukhaffafu AAanhum wala humyuntharoona | وإذا رأى الذين ظلموا العذاب فلا يخفف عنهم ولا هم ينظرون وَإِذَا رَأَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ الْعَذَابَ فَلاَ يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ | |||||

| 11 [21:40] | Bal ta/teehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falayastateeAAoona raddaha wala hum yuntharoona | بل تأتيهم بغتة فتبهتهم فلا يستطيعون ردها ولا هم ينظرون بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |بل - Nay,| تأتيهم - it will come to them| بغتة - unexpectedly| فتبهتهم - and bewilder them,| فلا - then not| يستطيعون - they will be able| ردها - to repel it,| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينظرون - will be given respite.| | ||||||
| 12 [32:29] | Qul yawma alfathi la yanfaAAuallatheena kafaroo eemanuhum wala hum yuntharoona | قل يوم الفتح لا ينفع الذين كفروا إيمانهم ولا هم ينظرون قُلْ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ لَا يَنفَعُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِيْمَانُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| يوم - "(On the) Day| الفتح - (of) the Decision,| لا - not| ينفع - will benefit| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve| إيمانهم - their belief| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينظرون - will be granted respite."| | ||||||
| 13 [33:19] | Ashihhatan AAalaykum fa-itha jaaalkhawfu raaytahum yanthuroona ilayka tadooruaAAyunuhum kaallathee yughsha AAalayhi minaalmawti fa-itha thahaba alkhawfu salaqookumbi-alsinatin hidadin ashihhatan AAalaalkhayri ola-ika lam yu/minoo faahbata AllahuaAAmalahum wakana thalika AAala Allahiyaseeran | أشحة عليكم فإذا جاء الخوف رأيتهم ينظرون إليك تدور أعينهم كالذي يغشى عليه من الموت فإذا ذهب الخوف سلقوكم بألسنة حداد أشحة على الخير أولئك لم يؤمنوا فأحبط الله أعمالهم وكان ذلك على الله يسيرا أَشِحَّةً عَلَيْكُمْ فَإِذَا جَاءَ الْخَوْفُ رَأَيْتَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ تَدُورُ أَعْيُنُهُمْ كَالَّذِي يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوكُم بِأَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ أَشِحَّةً عَلَى الْخَيْرِ أُوْلَئِكَ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا فَأَحْبَطَ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |أشحة - Miserly| عليكم - towards you.| فإذا - But when| جاء - comes| الخوف - the fear,| رأيتهم - you see them| ينظرون - looking| إليك - at you,| تدور - revolving| أعينهم - their eyes| كالذي - like one who| يغشى - faints| عليه - faints| من - from| الموت - [the] death.| فإذا - But when| ذهب - departs| الخوف - the fear,| سلقوكم - they smite you| بألسنة - with tongues| حداد - sharp| أشحة - miserly| على - towards| الخير - the good.| أولئك - Those -| لم - not| يؤمنوا - they have believed,| فأحبط - so Allah made worthless| الله - so Allah made worthless| أعمالهم - their deeds.| وكان - And is| ذلك - that| على - for| الله - Allah| يسيرا - easy.| | ||||||
| 14 [35:43] | Istikbaran fee al-ardi wamakraalssayyi-i wala yaheequ almakru alssayyi-oilla bi-ahlihi fahal yanthuroona illasunnata al-awwaleena falan tajida lisunnati Allahitabdeelan walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tahweelan | استكبارا في الأرض ومكر السيئ ولا يحيق المكر السيئ إلا بأهله فهل ينظرون إلا سنت الأولين فلن تجد لسنت الله تبديلا ولن تجد لسنت الله تحويلا اسْتِكْبَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ السَّيِّئِ وَلَا يَحِيقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ الْأَوَّلِينَ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَحْوِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |استكبارا - (Due to) arrogance| في - in| الأرض - the land| ومكر - and plotting| السيئ - (of) the evil;| ولا - but not| يحيق - encompasses| المكر - the plot| السيئ - (of) the evil| إلا - except| بأهله - its own people.| فهل - Then do| ينظرون - they wait| إلا - except| سنت - (the) way| الأولين - (of) the former (people)?| فلن - But never| تجد - you will find| لسنت - in (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| تبديلا - any change,| ولن - and never| تجد - you will find| لسنت - in (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| تحويلا - any alteration.| | ||||||
| 15 [36:49] | Ma yanthuroona illasayhatan wahidatan ta/khuthuhum wahumyakhissimoona | ما ينظرون إلا صيحة واحدة تأخذهم وهم يخصمون مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ | |||||

| 16 [37:19] | Fa-innama hiya zajratun wahidatunfa-itha hum yanthuroona | فإنما هي زجرة واحدة فإذا هم ينظرون فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ | |||||

| 17 [39:68] | Wanufikha fee alssoori fasaAAiqaman fee alssamawati waman fee al-ardiilla man shaa Allahu thumma nufikha feehiokhra fa-itha hum qiyamun yanthuroona | ونفخ في الصور فصعق من في السماوات ومن في الأرض إلا من شاء الله ثم نفخ فيه أخرى فإذا هم قيام ينظرون وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَن شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا هُم قِيَامٌ يَنظُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ونفخ - And (will) be blown| في - [in]| الصور - the trumpet,| فصعق - then (will) fall dead| من - whoever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| ومن - and whoever| في - (is) on| الأرض - the earth| إلا - except| من - whom| شاء - Allah wills.| الله - Allah wills.| ثم - Then| نفخ - (it will) be blown| فيه - [in it]| أخرى - a second time,| فإذا - and behold!| هم - They| قيام - (will be) standing| ينظرون - waiting.| | ||||||
| 18 [42:45] | Watarahum yuAAradoona AAalayhakhashiAAeena mina alththulli yanthuroonamin tarfin khafiyyin waqala allatheena amanooinna alkhasireena allatheena khasiroo anfusahumwaahleehim yawma alqiyamati ala inna alththalimeenafee AAathabin muqeemin | وتراهم يعرضون عليها خاشعين من الذل ينظرون من طرف خفي وقال الذين آمنوا إن الخاسرين الذين خسروا أنفسهم وأهليهم يوم القيامة ألا إن الظالمين في عذاب مقيم وَتَرَاهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا خَاشِعِينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنظُرُونَ مِن طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَلَا إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ فِي عَذَابٍ مُّقِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |وتراهم - And you will see them| يعرضون - being exposed| عليها - to it,| خاشعين - humbled| من - by| الذل - disgrace,| ينظرون - looking| من - with| طرف - a glance| خفي - stealthy.| وقال - And will say| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed,| إن - "Indeed,| الخاسرين - the losers| الذين - (are) those who| خسروا - lost| أنفسهم - themselves| وأهليهم - and their families| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection.| ألا - Unquestionably!| إن - Indeed,| الظالمين - the wrongdoers| في - (are) in| عذاب - a punishment| مقيم - lasting.| | ||||||
| 19 [43:66] | Hal yanthuroona illa alssaAAataan ta/tiyahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona | هل ينظرون إلا الساعة أن تأتيهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||

| 20 [47:18] | Fahal yanthuroona illaalssaAAata an ta/tiyahum baghtatan faqad jaaashratuha faanna lahum itha jaat-humthikrahum | فهل ينظرون إلا الساعة أن تأتيهم بغتة فقد جاء أشراطها فأنى لهم إذا جاءتهم ذكراهم فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً فَقَدْ جَاءَ أَشْرَاطُهَا فَأَنَّى لَهُمْ إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ ذِكْرَاهُمْ | |||||
