| 1 [2:229] | Alttalaqu marratanifa-imsakun bimaAAroofin aw tasreehun bi-ihsaninwala yahillu lakum an ta/khuthoo mimmaataytumoohunna shay-an illa an yakhafaalla yuqeema hudooda Allahi fa-inkhiftum alla yuqeema hudooda Allahifala junaha AAalayhima feema iftadatbihi tilka hudoodu Allahi fala taAAtadoohawaman yataAAadda hudooda Allahi faola-ikahumu alththalimoona |  الطلاق مرتان فإمساك بمعروف أو تسريح بإحسان ولا يحل لكم أن تأخذوا مما آتيتموهن شيئا إلا أن يخافا ألا يقيما حدود الله فإن خفتم ألا يقيما حدود الله فلا جناح عليهما فيما افتدت به تلك حدود الله فلا تعتدوها ومن يتعد حدود الله فأولئك هم الظالمونالطَّلاَقُ مَرَّتَانِ فَإِمْسَاكٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ تَسْرِيحٌ بِإِحْسَانٍ وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَأْخُذُواْ مِمَّا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ شَيْئًا إِلاَّ أَن يَخَافَا أَلاَّ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا فِيمَا افْتَدَتْ بِهِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ فَلاَ تَعْتَدُوهَا وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |الطلاق - The divorce| مرتان - (is) twice.| فإمساك - Then to retain| بمعروف - in a reasonable manner| أو - or| تسريح - to release (her)| بإحسان - with kindness.| ولا - And (it is) not| يحل - lawful| لكم - for you| أن - that| تأخذوا - you take (back)| مما - whatever| آتيتموهن - you have given them| شيئا - anything,| إلا - except| أن - if| يخافا - both fear| ألا - that not| يقيما - they both (can) keep| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah.| فإن - But if| خفتم - you fear| ألا - that not| يقيما - they both (can) keep| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah| فلا - then (there is) no| جناح - sin| عليهما - on both of them| فيما - in what| افتدت - she ransoms| به - concerning it.| تلك - These| حدود - (are the) limits| الله - (of) Allah,| فلا - so (do) not| تعتدوها - transgress them.| ومن - And whoever| يتعد - transgresses| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah| فأولئك - then those -| هم - they| الظالمون - (are) the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:230] | Fa-in tallaqaha falatahillu lahu min baAAdu hatta tankihazawjan ghayrahu fa-in tallaqaha fala junahaAAalayhima an yatarajaAAa in thannaan yuqeema hudooda Allahi watilka hudooduAllahi yubayyinuha liqawmin yaAAlamoona | فإن طلقها فلا تحل له من بعد حتى تنكح زوجا غيره فإن طلقها فلا جناح عليهما أن يتراجعا إن ظنا أن يقيما حدود الله وتلك حدود الله يبينها لقوم يعلمون فَإِن طَلَّقَهَا فَلاَ تَحِلُّ لَهُ مِن بَعْدُ حَتَّى تَنكِحَ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ فَإِن طَلَّقَهَا فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَن يَتَرَاجَعَا إِن ظَنَّا أَن يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ يُبَيِّنُهَا لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فإن - Then if| طلقها - he divorces her,| فلا - then (she is) not| تحل - lawful| له - for him| من - from| بعد - after (that)| حتى - until| تنكح - she marries| زوجا - a spouse| غيره - other than him.| فإن - Then if| طلقها - he divorces her| فلا - then no| جناح - sin| عليهما - on them| أن - if| يتراجعا - they return to each other| إن - if| ظنا - they believe| أن - that| يقيما - they (will be able to) keep| حدود - (the) limits.| الله - (of) Allah.| وتلك - And these| حدود - (are the) limits.| الله - (of) Allah.| يبينها - He makes them clear| لقوم - to a people| يعلمون - who know.| | ||||||
