| 1 [2:264] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tubtiloo sadaqatikum bialmanniwaal-atha kaallathee yunfiqu malahuri-aa alnnasi wala yu/minu biAllahiwaalyawmi al-akhiri famathaluhu kamathali safwaninAAalayhi turabun faasabahu wabilunfatarakahu saldan la yaqdiroona AAalashay-in mimma kasaboo waAllahu layahdee alqawma alkafireena |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تبطلوا صدقاتكم بالمن والأذى كالذي ينفق ماله رئاء الناس ولا يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فمثله كمثل صفوان عليه تراب فأصابه وابل فتركه صلدا لا يقدرون على شيء مما كسبوا والله لا يهدي القوم الكافرينيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تُبْطِلُواْ صَدَقَاتِكُم بِالْمَنِّ وَالْأَذَى كَالَّذِي يُنفِقُ مَالَهُ رِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَلاَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَمَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ صَفْوَانٍ عَلَيْهِ تُرَابٌ فَأَصَابَهُ وَابِلٌ فَتَرَكَهُ صَلْدًا لاَّ يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِّمَّا كَسَبُواْ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| لا - (Do) not| تبطلوا - render in vain| صدقاتكم - your charities| بالمن - with reminders (of it)| والأذى - or [the] hurt,| كالذي - like the one who| ينفق - spends| ماله - his wealth| رئاء - (to) be seen| الناس - (by) the people,| ولا - and (does) not| يؤمن - believe| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - [the] Last.| فمثله - Then his example| كمثل - (is) like| صفوان - (that of a) smooth rock| عليه - upon it| تراب - (is) dust,| فأصابه - then fell on it| وابل - heavy rain,| فتركه - then left it| صلدا - bare.| لا - Not| يقدرون - they have control| على - on| شيء - anything| مما - of what| كسبوا - they (have) earned.| والله - And Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the people| الكافرين - [the] disbelieving.| | ||||||
| 2 [14:18] | Mathalu allatheena kafaroo birabbihimaAAmaluhum karamadin ishtaddat bihi alrreehufee yawmin AAasifin la yaqdiroona mimmakasaboo AAala shay-in thalika huwa alddalalualbaAAeedu | مثل الذين كفروا بربهم أعمالهم كرماد اشتدت به الريح في يوم عاصف لا يقدرون مما كسبوا على شيء ذلك هو الضلال البعيد مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ اشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ الرِّيحُ فِي يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍ لاَّ يَقْدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُواْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الضَّلاَلُ الْبَعِيدُ | |||||
| Words | |مثل - (The) example| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieve| بربهم - in their Lord,| أعمالهم - their deeds| كرماد - (are) like ashes| اشتدت - blows furiously| به - on it| الريح - the wind| في - in| يوم - a day| عاصف - stormy.| لا - No| يقدرون - control (they have)| مما - of what| كسبوا - they have earned| على - on| شيء - anything.| ذلك - That,| هو - [it]| الضلال - (is) the straying| البعيد - far.| | ||||||
| 3 [57:29] | Li-alla yaAAlama ahlu alkitabialla yaqdiroona AAala shay-in min fadli Allahiwaanna alfadla biyadi Allahi yu/teehi man yashaowaAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi | لئلا يعلم أهل الكتاب ألا يقدرون على شيء من فضل الله وأن الفضل بيد الله يؤتيه من يشاء والله ذو الفضل العظيم لِئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِّن فَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ | |||||
| Words | |لئلا - So that| يعلم - may know| أهل - (the) People| الكتاب - (of) the Book| ألا - that not| يقدرون - they have power| على - over| شيء - anything| من - from| فضل - (the) Bounty| الله - (of) Allah,| وأن - and that| الفضل - the Bounty| بيد - (is) in Allah's Hand;| الله - (is) in Allah's Hand;| يؤتيه - He gives it| من - whom| يشاء - He wills.| والله - And Allah| ذو - (is) the Possessor of Bounty| الفضل - (is) the Possessor of Bounty| العظيم - the Great.| | ||||||
