| 2 [3:72] | Waqalat ta-ifatun min ahlialkitabi aminoo biallathee onzilaAAala allatheena amanoo wajha alnnahariwaokfuroo akhirahu laAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وقالت طائفة من أهل الكتاب آمنوا بالذي أنزل على الذين آمنوا وجه النهار واكفروا آخره لعلهم يرجعون وَقَالَت طَّآئِفَةٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ آمِنُواْ بِالَّذِي أُنزِلَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَجْهَ النَّهَارِ وَاكْفُرُواْ آخِرَهُ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالت - And said| طائفة - a group| من - of| أهل - (the) People| الكتاب - (of) the Book,| آمنوا - "Believe| بالذي - in what| أنزل - was revealed| على - on| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe[d]| وجه - (at the) beginning| النهار - (of) the day,| واكفروا - and reject| آخره - (at) its end,| لعلهم - perhaps they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 3 [3:83] | Afaghayra deeni Allahi yabghoonawalahu aslama man fee alssamawati waal-arditawAAan wakarhan wa-ilayhi yurjaAAoona | أفغير دين الله يبغون وله أسلم من في السماوات والأرض طوعا وكرها وإليه يرجعون أَفَغَيْرَ دِينِ اللّهِ يَبْغُونَ وَلَهُ أَسْلَمَ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أفغير - So is (it) other than| دين - (the) religion| الله - (of) Allah| يبغون - they seek?| وله - While to Him| أسلم - (have) submitted| من - whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| طوعا - willingly| وكرها - or unwillingly,| وإليه - and towards Him| يرجعون - they will be returned.| | ||||||
| 4 [6:36] | Innama yastajeebu allatheenayasmaAAoona waalmawta yabAAathuhumu Allahuthumma ilayhi yurjaAAoona | إنما يستجيب الذين يسمعون والموتى يبعثهم الله ثم إليه يرجعون إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ وَالْمَوْتَى يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إنما - Only| يستجيب - respond| الذين - those who| يسمعون - listen.| والموتى - But the dead -| يبعثهم - will resurrect them| الله - Allah| ثم - then| إليه - to Him| يرجعون - they will be returned.| | ||||||
| 5 [7:168] | WaqattaAAnahum fee al-ardiomaman minhumu alssalihoona waminhum doona thalikawabalawnahum bialhasanati waalssayyi-atilaAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وقطعناهم في الأرض أمما منهم الصالحون ومنهم دون ذلك وبلوناهم بالحسنات والسيئات لعلهم يرجعون وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أُمَمًا مِّنْهُمُ الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنْهُمْ دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَبَلَوْنَاهُمْ بِالْحَسَنَاتِ وَالسَّيِّئَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقطعناهم - And We divided them| في - in| الأرض - the earth| أمما - (as) nations.| منهم - Among them| الصالحون - (are) the righteous| ومنهم - and among them| دون - (are) other than| ذلك - that.| وبلوناهم - And We tested them| بالحسنات - with the good| والسيئات - and the bad,| لعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 6 [7:174] | Wakathalika nufassilu al-ayatiwalaAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وكذلك نفصل الآيات ولعلهم يرجعون وَكَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| نفصل - We explain| الآيات - the Verses| ولعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 7 [12:62] | Waqala lifityanihi ijAAaloo bidaAAatahumfee rihalihim laAAallahum yaAArifoonaha ithainqalaboo ila ahlihim laAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وقال لفتيانه اجعلوا بضاعتهم في رحالهم لعلهم يعرفونها إذا انقلبوا إلى أهلهم لعلهم يرجعون وَقَالَ لِفِتْيَانِهِ اجْعَلُواْ بِضَاعَتَهُمْ فِي رِحَالِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْرِفُونَهَا إِذَا انقَلَبُواْ إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And he said| لفتيانه - to his servants,| اجعلوا - "Put| بضاعتهم - their merchandise| في - in| رحالهم - their saddlebags| لعلهم - so that they| يعرفونها - may recognize it| إذا - when| انقلبوا - they go back| إلى - to| أهلهم - their people| لعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return."| | ||||||
| 8 [19:40] | Inna nahnu narithu al-ardawaman AAalayha wa-ilayna yurjaAAoona | إنا نحن نرث الأرض ومن عليها وإلينا يرجعون إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ الْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, We| نحن - [We]| نرث - [We] will inherit| الأرض - the earth| ومن - and whoever| عليها - (is) on it,| وإلينا - and to Us| يرجعون - they will be returned.| | ||||||
| 9 [21:58] | FajaAAalahum juthathan illakabeeran lahum laAAallahum ilayhi yarjiAAoona | فجعلهم جذاذا إلا كبيرا لهم لعلهم إليه يرجعون فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||

| 10 [21:95] | Waharamun AAalaqaryatin ahlaknaha annahum la yarjiAAoona | وحرام على قرية أهلكناها أنهم لا يرجعون وَحَرَامٌ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وحرام - And (there is) prohibition| على - upon| قرية - a city| أهلكناها - which We have destroyed,| أنهم - that they| لا - not| يرجعون - will return.| | ||||||
| 11 [24:64] | Ala inna lillahi ma feealssamawati waal-ardi qadyaAAlamu ma antum AAalayhi wayawma yurjaAAoona ilayhifayunabbi-ohum bima AAamiloo waAllahubikulli shay-in AAaleemun | ألا إن لله ما في السماوات والأرض قد يعلم ما أنتم عليه ويوم يرجعون إليه فينبئهم بما عملوا والله بكل شيء عليم أَلَا إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ مَا أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَيَوْمَ يُرْجَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ألا - No doubt!| إن - Indeed,| لله - to Allah (belongs)| ما - whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| قد - Verily,| يعلم - He knows| ما - what| أنتم - you| عليه - (are) on [it],| ويوم - And (the) Day| يرجعون - they will be returned| إليه - to Him| فينبئهم - then He will inform them| بما - of what| عملوا - they did.| والله - And Allah| بكل - of every| شيء - thing| عليم - (is) All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 12 [27:28] | Ithhab bikitabee hathafaalqih ilayhim thumma tawalla AAanhum faonthurmatha yarjiAAoona | اذهب بكتابي هذا فألقه إليهم ثم تول عنهم فانظر ماذا يرجعون اذْهَب بِّكِتَابِي هَذَا فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |اذهب - Go| بكتابي - with my letter,| هذا - this,| فألقه - and deliver it| إليهم - to them.| ثم - Then| تول - turn away| عنهم - from them| فانظر - and see| ماذا - what| يرجعون - they return."| | ||||||
| 13 [28:39] | Waistakbara huwa wajunooduhu feeal-ardi bighayri alhaqqi wathannooannahum ilayna la yurjaAAoona | واستكبر هو وجنوده في الأرض بغير الحق وظنوا أنهم إلينا لا يرجعون وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واستكبر - And he was arrogant,| هو - And he was arrogant,| وجنوده - and his hosts| في - in| الأرض - the land| بغير - without| الحق - right,| وظنوا - and they thought| أنهم - that they| إلينا - to Us| لا - not| يرجعون - will be returned.| | ||||||
| 14 [30:41] | Thahara alfasadu feealbarri waalbahri bima kasabat aydee alnnasiliyutheeqahum baAAda allathee AAamiloolaAAallahum yarjiAAoona | ظهر الفساد في البر والبحر بما كسبت أيدي الناس ليذيقهم بعض الذي عملوا لعلهم يرجعون ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ظهر - Has appeared| الفساد - the corruption| في - in| البر - the land| والبحر - and the sea| بما - for what| كسبت - have earned| أيدي - (the) hands| الناس - (of) people,| ليذيقهم - so that He may let them taste| بعض - a part| الذي - (of) that which| عملوا - they have done| لعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 15 [32:21] | Walanutheeqannahum mina alAAathabial-adna doona alAAathabi al-akbari laAAallahumyarjiAAoona | ولنذيقنهم من العذاب الأدنى دون العذاب الأكبر لعلهم يرجعون وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُمْ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَدْنَى دُونَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولنذيقنهم - And surely, We will let them taste| من - of| العذاب - the punishment| الأدنى - the nearer| دون - before| العذاب - the punishment| الأكبر - the greater,| لعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 16 [36:31] | Alam yaraw kam ahlakna qablahum minaalqurooni annahum ilayhim la yarjiAAoona | ألم يروا كم أهلكنا قبلهم من القرون أنهم إليهم لا يرجعون أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنْ الْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لاَ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Do not| يروا - they see| كم - how many| أهلكنا - We destroyed| قبلهم - before them| من - of| القرون - the generations?| أنهم - That they| إليهم - to them| لا - will not return.| يرجعون - will not return.| | ||||||
| 17 [36:50] | Fala yastateeAAoona tawsiyatanwala ila ahlihim yarjiAAoona | فلا يستطيعون توصية ولا إلى أهلهم يرجعون فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فلا - Then not| يستطيعون - they will be able| توصية - (to) make a will,| ولا - and not| إلى - to| أهلهم - their people| يرجعون - they (can) return.| | ||||||
| 18 [36:67] | Walaw nashao lamasakhnahumAAala makanatihim fama istataAAoo mudiyyanwala yarjiAAoona | ولو نشاء لمسخناهم على مكانتهم فما استطاعوا مضيا ولا يرجعون وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَمَسَخْنَاهُمْ عَلَى مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - And if| نشاء - We willed| لمسخناهم - surely, We (would have) transformed them| على - in| مكانتهم - their places| فما - then not| استطاعوا - they would have been able| مضيا - to proceed| ولا - and not| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 19 [40:77] | Faisbir inna waAAda Allahihaqqun fa-imma nuriyannaka baAAda allatheenaAAiduhum aw natawaffayannaka fa-ilayna yurjaAAoona | فاصبر إن وعد الله حق فإما نرينك بعض الذي نعدهم أو نتوفينك فإلينا يرجعون فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فاصبر - So be patient;| إن - indeed,| وعد - (the) Promise| الله - (of) Allah| حق - (is) true.| فإما - And whether| نرينك - We show you| بعض - some| الذي - (of) what| نعدهم - We have promised them| أو - or| نتوفينك - We cause you to die,| فإلينا - then to Us| يرجعون - they will be returned.| | ||||||
| 20 [43:28] | WajaAAalaha kalimatan baqiyatanfee AAaqibihi laAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وجعلها كلمة باقية في عقبه لعلهم يرجعون وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِي عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
