| 1 [3:153] | Ith tusAAidoona walatalwoona AAala ahadin waalrrasooluyadAAookum fee okhrakum faathabakum ghammanbighammin likay la tahzanoo AAala mafatakum wala ma asabakum waAllahukhabeerun bima taAAmaloona |  إذ تصعدون ولا تلوون على أحد والرسول يدعوكم في أخراكم فأثابكم غما بغم لكيلا تحزنوا على ما فاتكم ولا ما أصابكم والله خبير بما تعملونإِذْ تُصْعِدُونَ وَلاَ تَلْوُونَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ فِي أُخْرَاكُمْ فَأَثَابَكُمْ غَمًّا بِغَمٍّ لِّكَيْلاَ تَحْزَنُواْ عَلَى مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلاَ مَا أَصَابَكُمْ وَاللّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| تصعدون - you were running uphill| ولا - and not| تلوون - casting a glance| على - on| أحد - anyone| والرسول - while the Messenger| يدعوكم - was calling you| في - [in]| أخراكم - (from) behind you.| فأثابكم - So (He) repaid you| غما - (with) distress| بغم - on distress| لكيلا - so that not| تحزنوا - you grieve| على - over| ما - what| فاتكم - escaped you| ولا - and not| ما - what| أصابكم - (had) befallen you.| والله - And Allah| خبير - (is) All-Aware| بما - of what| تعملون - you do.| | ||||||
| 2 [14:10] | Qalat rusuluhum afee Allahishakkun fatiri alssamawati waal-ardiyadAAookum liyaghfira lakum min thunoobikumwayu-akhkhirakum ila ajalin musamman qaloo in antumilla basharun mithluna tureedoona an tasuddoonaAAamma kana yaAAbudu abaonafa/toona bisultanin mubeenin | قالت رسلهم أفي الله شك فاطر السماوات والأرض يدعوكم ليغفر لكم من ذنوبكم ويؤخركم إلى أجل مسمى قالوا إن أنتم إلا بشر مثلنا تريدون أن تصدونا عما كان يعبد آباؤنا فأتونا بسلطان مبين قَالَتْ رُسُلُهُمْ أَفِي اللّهِ شَكٌّ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِيَغْفِرَ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَـمًّى قَالُواْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَآؤُنَا فَأْتُونَا بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |قالت - Said| رسلهم - their Messengers,| أفي - "Can (there) be about| الله - Allah| شك - any doubt,| فاطر - (the) Creator| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth?| يدعوكم - He invites you,| ليغفر - so that He may forgive| لكم - for you| من - [of]| ذنوبكم - your sins,| ويؤخركم - and give you respite| إلى - for| أجل - a term| مسمى - appointed."| قالوا - They said,| إن - "Not| أنتم - you| إلا - (are) but| بشر - a human| مثلنا - like us,| تريدون - you wish| أن - to| تصدونا - hinder us| عما - from what| كان - used to| يعبد - worship| آباؤنا - our forefathers.| فأتونا - So bring us| بسلطان - an authority| مبين - clear."| | ||||||
| 3 [17:52] | Yawma yadAAookum fatastajeeboona bihamdihiwatathunnoona in labithtum illa qaleelan | يوم يدعوكم فتستجيبون بحمده وتظنون إن لبثتم إلا قليلا يَوْمَ يَدْعُوكُمْ فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِهِ وَتَظُنُّونَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |يوم - (On) the Day| يدعوكم - He will call you| فتستجيبون - and you will respond| بحمده - with His Praise,| وتظنون - and you will think,| إن - not| لبثتم - you had remained| إلا - except| قليلا - a little (while).| | ||||||
| 4 [57:8] | Wama lakum la tu/minoona biAllahiwaalrrasoolu yadAAookum litu/minoo birabbikum waqad akhathameethaqakum in kuntum mu/mineena | وما لكم لا تؤمنون بالله والرسول يدعوكم لتؤمنوا بربكم وقد أخذ ميثاقكم إن كنتم مؤمنين وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ وَقَدْ أَخَذَ مِيثَاقَكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And what| لكم - (is) for you| لا - (that) not| تؤمنون - you believe| بالله - in Allah| والرسول - while the Messenger| يدعوكم - calls you| لتؤمنوا - that you believe| بربكم - in your Lord,| وقد - and indeed,| أخذ - He has taken| ميثاقكم - your covenant| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
