| 1 [6:60] | Wahuwa allathee yatawaffakumbiallayli wayaAAlamu ma jarahtum bialnnaharithumma yabAAathukum feehi liyuqda ajalun musamman thummailayhi marjiAAukum thumma yunabbi-okum bima kuntumtaAAmaloona |  وهو الذي يتوفاكم بالليل ويعلم ما جرحتم بالنهار ثم يبعثكم فيه ليقضى أجل مسمى ثم إليه مرجعكم ثم ينبئكم بما كنتم تعملونوَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَى أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| يتوفاكم - takes your (soul)| بالليل - by the night| ويعلم - and He knows| ما - what| جرحتم - you committed| بالنهار - by the day.| ثم - Then| يبعثكم - He raises you up| فيه - therein,| ليقضى - so that is fulfilled| أجل - (the) term| مسمى - specified.| ثم - Then| إليه - to Him| مرجعكم - will be your return| ثم - then| ينبئكم - He will inform you| بما - about what| كنتم - you used to| تعملون - do.| | ||||||
| 2 [10:104] | Qul ya ayyuha alnnasuin kuntum fee shakkin min deenee fala aAAbudu allatheenataAAbudoona min dooni Allahi walakin aAAbudu Allahaallathee yatawaffakum waomirtu an akoona minaalmu/mineena | قل يا أيها الناس إن كنتم في شك من ديني فلا أعبد الذين تعبدون من دون الله ولكن أعبد الله الذي يتوفاكم وأمرت أن أكون من المؤمنين قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِّن دِينِي فَلاَ أَعْبُدُ الَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ وَلَـكِنْ أَعْبُدُ اللّهَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| يا - O| أيها - "O mankind!| الناس - "O mankind!| إن - If| كنتم - you are| في - in| شك - doubt| من - of| ديني - my religion,| فلا - then not| أعبد - I worship| الذين - those whom| تعبدون - you worship| من - besides Allah,| دون - besides Allah,| الله - besides Allah,| ولكن - but| أعبد - I worship| الله - Allah,| الذي - the One Who| يتوفاكم - causes you to die.| وأمرت - And I am commanded| أن - that| أكون - I be| من - of| المؤمنين - the believers."| | ||||||
| 3 [16:70] | WaAllahu khalaqakum thummayatawaffakum waminkum man yuraddu ila arthalialAAumuri likay la yaAAlama baAAda AAilmin shay-an innaAllaha AAaleemun qadeerun | والله خلقكم ثم يتوفاكم ومنكم من يرد إلى أرذل العمر لكي لا يعلم بعد علم شيئا إن الله عليم قدير وَاللّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَى أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْ لاَ يَعْلَمَ بَعْدَ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلِيمٌ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |والله - And Allah| خلقكم - created you,| ثم - then| يتوفاكم - will cause you to die.| ومنكم - And among you| من - (is one) who| يرد - is sent back| إلى - to| أرذل - the worst| العمر - (of) the age,| لكي - so that| لا - not| يعلم - he will know| بعد - after| علم - knowledge| شيئا - a thing.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knowing,| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 4 [32:11] | Qul yatawaffakum malaku almawti allatheewukkila bikum thumma ila rabbikum turjaAAoona | قل يتوفاكم ملك الموت الذي وكل بكم ثم إلى ربكم ترجعون قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُم مَّلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| يتوفاكم - "Will take your soul| ملك - (the) Angel| الموت - (of) the death| الذي - the one who| وكل - has been put in charge| بكم - of you.| ثم - Then| إلى - to| ربكم - your Lord| ترجعون - you will be returned."| | ||||||
