| 1 [58:8] | Alam tara ila allatheena nuhooAAani alnnajwa thumma yaAAoodoona lima nuhooAAanhu wayatanajawna bial-ithmi waalAAudwaniwamaAAsiyati alrrasooli wa-itha jaookahayyawka bima lam yuhayyika bihi Allahuwayaqooloona fee anfusihim lawla yuAAaththibunaAllahu bima naqoolu hasbuhum jahannamu yaslawnahafabi/sa almaseeru |  ألم تر إلى الذين نهوا عن النجوى ثم يعودون لما نهوا عنه ويتناجون بالإثم والعدوان ومعصيت الرسول وإذا جاءوك حيوك بما لم يحيك به الله ويقولون في أنفسهم لولا يعذبنا الله بما نقول حسبهم جهنم يصلونها فبئس المصيرأَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ نُهُوا عَنِ النَّجْوَى ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَيَتَنَاجَوْنَ بِالْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ الرَّسُولِ وَإِذَا جَاؤُوكَ حَيَّوْكَ بِمَا لَمْ يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ اللَّهُ وَيَقُولُونَ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ لَوْلَا يُعَذِّبُنَا اللَّهُ بِمَا نَقُولُ حَسْبُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Do not| تر - you see| إلى - [to]| الذين - those who| نهوا - were forbidden| عن - from| النجوى - secret counsels,| ثم - then| يعودون - they return| لما - to what| نهوا - they were forbidden| عنه - from [it],| ويتناجون - and they hold secret counsels| بالإثم - for sin| والعدوان - and aggression| ومعصيت - and disobedience| الرسول - (to) the Messenger?| وإذا - And when| جاءوك - they come to you,| حيوك - they greet you| بما - with what| لم - not| يحيك - greets you| به - therewith| الله - Allah,| ويقولون - and they say| في - among| أنفسهم - themselves,| لولا - "Why (does) not| يعذبنا - Allah punish us| الله - Allah punish us| بما - for what| نقول - we say?"| حسبهم - Sufficient (for) them| جهنم - (is) Hell,| يصلونها - they will burn in it| فبئس - and worst is| المصير - the destination.| | ||||||
| 2 [58:9] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha tanajaytum fala tatanajaw bial-ithmiwaalAAudwani wamaAAsiyati alrrasooliwatanajaw bialbirri waalttaqwa waittaqooAllaha allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona | يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا تناجيتم فلا تتناجوا بالإثم والعدوان ومعصيت الرسول وتناجوا بالبر والتقوى واتقوا الله الذي إليه تحشرون يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا تَنَاجَيْتُمْ فَلَا تَتَنَاجَوْا بِالْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ الرَّسُولِ وَتَنَاجَوْا بِالْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you who believe!| الذين - O you who believe!| آمنوا - O you who believe!| إذا - When| تناجيتم - you hold secret counsel| فلا - then (do) not| تتناجوا - hold secret counsel| بالإثم - for sin| والعدوان - and aggression| ومعصيت - and disobedience| الرسول - (to) the Messenger,| وتناجوا - but hold secret counsel| بالبر - for righteousness| والتقوى - and piety.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah,| الذي - the One Who,| إليه - to Him| تحشرون - you will be gathered.| | ||||||
