| 1 [4:90] | Illa allatheena yasiloonaila qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun aw jaookumhasirat sudooruhum an yuqatilookum awyuqatiloo qawmahum walaw shaa Allahu lasallatahumAAalaykum falaqatalookum fa-ini iAAtazalookum falam yuqatilookumwaalqaw ilaykumu alssalama fama jaAAala Allahulakum AAalayhim sabeelan |  إلا الذين يصلون إلى قوم بينكم وبينهم ميثاق أو جاءوكم حصرت صدورهم أن يقاتلوكم أو يقاتلوا قومهم ولو شاء الله لسلطهم عليكم فلقاتلوكم فإن اعتزلوكم فلم يقاتلوكم وألقوا إليكم السلم فما جعل الله لكم عليهم سبيلاإِلاَّ الَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ إِلَى قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَاقٌ أَوْ جَآؤُوكُمْ حَصِرَتْ صُدُورُهُمْ أَن يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ أَوْ يُقَاتِلُواْ قَوْمَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ لَسَلَّطَهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ فَلَقَاتَلُوكُمْ فَإِنِ اعْتَزَلُوكُمْ فَلَمْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ وَأَلْقَوْاْ إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ فَمَا جَعَلَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سَبِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |إلا - Except| الذين - those who| يصلون - join| إلى - [to]| قوم - a group| بينكم - between you| وبينهم - and between them| ميثاق - (is) a treaty| أو - or| جاءوكم - those who come to you| حصرت - restraining| صدورهم - their hearts| أن - that| يقاتلوكم - they fight you| أو - or| يقاتلوا - they fight| قومهم - their people.| ولو - And if| شاء - (had) willed| الله - Allah,| لسلطهم - surely He (would have) given them power| عليكم - over you,| فلقاتلوكم - and surely they (would have) fought you.| فإن - So if| اعتزلوكم - they withdraw from you| فلم - and (do) not| يقاتلوكم - fight against you| وألقوا - and offer| إليكم - to you| السلم - [the] peace| فما - then not| جعل - (has) made| الله - Allah| لكم - for you| عليهم - against them| سبيلا - a way.| | ||||||
| 2 [4:92] | Wama kana limu/minin anyaqtula mu/minan illa khataan waman qatala mu/minankhataan fatahreeru raqabatin mu/minatin wadiyatunmusallamatun ila ahlihi illa an yassaddaqoofa-in kana min qawmin AAaduwwin lakum wahuwa mu/minun fatahreeruraqabatin mu/minatin wa-in kana min qawmin baynakumwabaynahum meethaqun fadiyatun musallamatun ilaahlihi watahreeru raqabatin mu/minatin faman lam yajid fasiyamushahrayni mutatabiAAayni tawbatan mina Allahi wakanaAllahu AAaleeman hakeeman | وما كان لمؤمن أن يقتل مؤمنا إلا خطأ ومن قتل مؤمنا خطأ فتحرير رقبة مؤمنة ودية مسلمة إلى أهله إلا أن يصدقوا فإن كان من قوم عدو لكم وهو مؤمن فتحرير رقبة مؤمنة وإن كان من قوم بينكم وبينهم ميثاق فدية مسلمة إلى أهله وتحرير رقبة مؤمنة فمن لم يجد فصيام شهرين متتابعين توبة من الله وكان الله عليما حكيما وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَن يَقْتُلَ مُؤْمِنًا إِلاَّ خَطَئًا وَمَن قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا خَطَئًا فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلاَّ أَن يَصَّدَّقُواْ فَإِن كَانَ مِن قَوْمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَّكُمْ وَهُوَ مْؤْمِنٌ فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَإِن كَانَ مِن قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِّيثَاقٌ فَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةً مِّنَ اللّهِ وَكَانَ اللّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - is| لمؤمن - for a believer| أن - that| يقتل - he kills| مؤمنا - a believer| إلا - except| خطأ - (by) mistake.| ومن - And whoever| قتل - killed| مؤمنا - a believer| خطأ - (by) mistake,| فتحرير - then freeing| رقبة - (of) a slave| مؤمنة - - believing| ودية - and blood money| مسلمة - (is to be) paid| إلى - to| أهله - his family| إلا - unless| أن - that| يصدقوا - they remit (as) charity.| فإن - But if| كان - (he) was| من - from| قوم - a people| عدو - hostile| لكم - to you| وهو - and he was| مؤمن - a believer| فتحرير - then freeing| رقبة - (of) a believing slave.| مؤمنة - - believing.| وإن - And if| كان - (he) was| من - from| قوم - a people| بينكم - between you| وبينهم - and between them,| ميثاق - (is) a treaty,| فدية - then blood money| مسلمة - (is to be) paid| إلى - to| أهله - his family,| وتحرير - and freeing| رقبة - (of) a slave| مؤمنة - - believing.| فمن - And whoever| لم - (does) not| يجد - find,| فصيام - then fasting| شهرين - (for) two months| متتابعين - consecutively,| توبة - (seeking) repentance| من - from| الله - Allah,| وكان - and is| الله - Allah| عليما - All-Knowing,| حكيما - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 3 [8:72] | Inna allatheena amanoo wahajaroowajahadoo bi-amwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahiwaallatheena awaw wanasaroo ola-ikabaAAduhum awliyao baAAdin waallatheenaamanoo walam yuhajiroo ma lakum min walayatihimmin shay-in hatta yuhajiroo wa-ini istansarookumfee alddeeni faAAalaykumu alnnasru illaAAala qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun waAllahubima taAAmaloona baseerun | إن الذين آمنوا وهاجروا وجاهدوا بأموالهم وأنفسهم في سبيل الله والذين آووا ونصروا أولئك بعضهم أولياء بعض والذين آمنوا ولم يهاجروا ما لكم من ولايتهم من شيء حتى يهاجروا وإن استنصروكم في الدين فعليكم النصر إلا على قوم بينكم وبينهم ميثاق والله بما تعملون بصير إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَهَاجَرُواْ وَجَاهَدُواْ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَواْ وَّنَصَرُواْ أُوْلَـئِكَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَلَمْ يُهَاجِرُواْ مَا لَكُم مِّن وَلاَيَتِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ حَتَّى يُهَاجِرُواْ وَإِنِ اسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ إِلاَّ عَلَى قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَاقٌ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed| وهاجروا - and emigrated| وجاهدوا - and strove hard| بأموالهم - with their wealth| وأنفسهم - and their lives| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| والذين - and those who| آووا - gave shelter| ونصروا - and helped| أولئك - those -| بعضهم - some of them| أولياء - (are) allies| بعض - (of) another.| والذين - But those who| آمنوا - believed| ولم - and (did) not| يهاجروا - emigrate,| ما - (it is) not| لكم - for you| من - (of)| ولايتهم - their protection| من - (in)| شيء - (in) anything,| حتى - until| يهاجروا - they emigrate.| وإن - And if| استنصروكم - they seek your help| في - in| الدين - the religion,| فعليكم - then upon you| النصر - (is to) help them| إلا - except| على - against| قوم - a people| بينكم - between you| وبينهم - and between them| ميثاق - (is) a treaty.| والله - And Allah| بما - of what| تعملون - you do| بصير - (is) All-Seer.| | ||||||
| 4 [18:94] | Qaloo ya tha alqarnayniinna ya/jooja wama/jooja mufsidoona fee al-ardi fahalnajAAalu laka kharjan AAala an tajAAala baynanawabaynahum saddan | قالوا يا ذا القرنين إن يأجوج ومأجوج مفسدون في الأرض فهل نجعل لك خرجا على أن تجعل بيننا وبينهم سدا قَالُوا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجًا عَلَى أَن تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| ذا - "O Dhul-qarnain!| القرنين - "O Dhul-qarnain!| إن - Indeed,| يأجوج - Yajuj| ومأجوج - and Majuj| مفسدون - (are) corrupters| في - in| الأرض - the land.| فهل - So may| نجعل - we make| لك - for you| خرجا - an expenditure| على - [on]| أن - that| تجعل - you make| بيننا - between us| وبينهم - and between them| سدا - a barrier?"| | ||||||
| 5 [18:95] | Qala ma makkannee feehi rabbeekhayrun faaAAeenoonee biquwwatin ajAAal baynakum wabaynahum radman | قال ما مكني فيه ربي خير فأعينوني بقوة أجعل بينكم وبينهم ردما قَالَ مَا مَكَّنِّي فِيهِ رَبِّي خَيْرٌ فَأَعِينُونِي بِقُوَّةٍ أَجْعَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ رَدْمًا | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| ما - "What| مكني - has established me| فيه - [in it]| ربي - my Lord| خير - (is) better,| فأعينوني - but assist me| بقوة - with strength,| أجعل - I will make| بينكم - between you| وبينهم - and between them| ردما - a barrier.| | ||||||
| 6 [26:118] | Faiftah baynee wabaynahum fathanwanajjinee waman maAAiya mina almu/mineena | فافتح بيني وبينهم فتحا ونجني ومن معي من المؤمنين فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن مَّعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فافتح - So judge| بيني - between me| وبينهم - and between them| فتحا - (with decisive) judgment,| ونجني - and save me| ومن - and who| معي - (are) with me| من - of| المؤمنين - the believers."| | ||||||
