| 1 [2:93] | Wa-ith akhathna meethaqakumwarafaAAna fawqakumu alttoora khuthooma ataynakum biquwwatin waismaAAoo qaloosamiAAna waAAasayna waoshriboo feequloobihimu alAAijla bikufrihim qul bi/sama ya/murukumbihi eemanukum in kuntum mu/mineena |  وإذ أخذنا ميثاقكم ورفعنا فوقكم الطور خذوا ما آتيناكم بقوة واسمعوا قالوا سمعنا وعصينا وأشربوا في قلوبهم العجل بكفرهم قل بئسما يأمركم به إيمانكم إن كنتم مؤمنينوَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَّاسْمَعُواْ قَالُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَأُشْرِبُواْ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْعِجْلَ بِكُفْرِهِمْ قُلْ بِئْسَمَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِهِ إِيمَانُكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذنا - We took| ميثاقكم - your covenant| ورفعنا - and We raised| فوقكم - over you| الطور - the mount,| خذوا - "Hold| ما - what| آتيناكم - We gave you,| بقوة - with firmness| واسمعوا - and listen."| قالوا - They said,| سمعنا - "We heard| وعصينا - and we disobeyed."| وأشربوا - And they were made to drink| في - in| قلوبهم - their hearts| العجل - (love of) the calf| بكفرهم - because of their disbelief.| قل - Say,| بئسما - "Evil (is) that| يأمركم - orders you (to do) it| به - with| إيمانكم - your faith,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مؤمنين - believers."| | ||||||
| 2 [2:104] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola taqooloo raAAina waqooloo onthurnawaismaAAoo walilkafireena AAathabun aleemun | يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تقولوا راعنا وقولوا انظرنا واسمعوا وللكافرين عذاب أليم يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَقُولُواْ رَاعِنَا وَقُولُواْ انظُرْنَا وَاسْمَعُوا ْوَلِلكَافِرِينَ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| لا - "(Do) not| تقولوا - say| راعنا - "Raina"| وقولوا - and say| انظرنا - "Unzurna"| واسمعوا - and listen.| وللكافرين - And for the disbelievers| عذاب - (is) a punishment| أليم - painful.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:108] | Thalika adna an ya/too bialshshahadatiAAala wajhiha aw yakhafoo an turadda aymanunbaAAda aymanihim waittaqoo Allaha waismaAAoowaAllahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena | ذلك أدنى أن يأتوا بالشهادة على وجهها أو يخافوا أن ترد أيمان بعد أيمانهم واتقوا الله واسمعوا والله لا يهدي القوم الفاسقين ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَن يَأْتُواْ بِالشَّهَادَةِ عَلَى وَجْهِهَا أَوْ يَخَافُواْ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَانٌ بَعْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللّهَ وَاسْمَعُواْ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ذلك - That| أدنى - (is) closer| أن - that| يأتوا - they will give| بالشهادة - the testimony| على - in| وجهها - its (true) form| أو - or| يخافوا - they would fear| أن - that| ترد - will be refuted| أيمان - their oaths| بعد - after| أيمانهم - their (others) oaths.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah| واسمعوا - and listen;| والله - and Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the people.| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 4 [64:16] | Faittaqoo Allaha maistataAAtum waismaAAoo waateeAAoo waanfiqookhayran li-anfusikum waman yooqa shuhha nafsihi faola-ikahumu almuflihoona | فاتقوا الله ما استطعتم واسمعوا وأطيعوا وأنفقوا خيرا لأنفسكم ومن يوق شح نفسه فأولئك هم المفلحون فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَاسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَأَنفِقُوا خَيْرًا لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فاتقوا - So fear| الله - Allah| ما - what| استطعتم - you are able| واسمعوا - and listen| وأطيعوا - and obey| وأنفقوا - and spend;| خيرا - (it is) better| لأنفسكم - for yourselves.| ومن - And whoever| يوق - is saved| شح - (from the) greediness| نفسه - (of) his soul,| فأولئك - then those| هم - [they]| المفلحون - (are) the successful ones.| | ||||||
